The best test of any speaker is to test and make a purchase decision in the exact location/environment you intend to use it in because of musical acoustics and frequencies being washed out etc. - not just on the store shelf. With that said, I wanted a BT speaker that primarily sounded great in my noisy work environment. This unit performs much better than anyone would think possible. It's amazing and the dynamic range of the music is balance perfectly - not to much base or treble, midrange is exactly were I would set it if using an equalizer. It's physical size is just right! It fits comfortably into my backpack thus allowing me to easily carry from home to work etc. without any 'hassles'. Use it very often in my home garage on weekends and in the pickup when I want portable Blue Tooth! Excellant price/performance ratio.

Very easy to use and setup. My iPhone recognized it immediately. The sound is great for the size of the speaker. Good amount of bass, also. What's really awesome is the mounting kit that comes with it. It will mount just about anywhere. I put it on the handlebars of my mountain bike and couldn't be happier. Rockin' while I roll! Great purchase! Recommend!

Love love love this speaker. I purchased it for the specific purpose of taking it on a canoeing trip since a waterproof speaker was essential for tunes. Of course someone rocked the boat and the speaker went in the water. It floated next to us for a few minutes and all was good with drying it out in the sun after getting it out of the water.

I mount my speaker on my cart it goes about 29 mph and no problem hearing the music and when my phone rings it rings right through the speaker! A great job and I would feel great about taking out in the rain or by the pool !!

Love it ! I was able to mount easily being blind in one eye behind Hot Tub. Able to work easily with brain injury.

I have to change it. Doesn't function properly . That was about bluetooth. New article is OK.

My family and I went tubing this past weekend and i bought the speaker so that we could use it without worrying about dropping it in the water. Put it in the water briefly and it's floated! But I didn't want it to sit in the water for long. So I really can't speak on how well it does after a long exposure to water. But the brief exposure it got with us it seemed fine. The Bluetooth connection is nice and strong. The sound quality is really really good for such a small speaker. It got very loud and had nice deep bass and solid mids and highs. It was clear at any volume. Never got muddy. Definitely worth the $70 sale price I paid.

I bought the mimi life jacket about 2 months ago and it has performed flawlessly. Super easy to connect via Bluetooth, both my wife and I easily connected both of our iPhones (6s+) without any issues whatsoever. We have an enclosed shower with steam and the speaker gets absolutely soaked. But, the best think about this speaker is the sound. I was amazed how much bass it reproduced with such a small footprint. In the enclosed space of a shower it was more than loud enough. I liked it so much, when the larger version - "Boomjacket" - went on sale, I bought one. I'll review it soon.

What a wonderful product. The small lifejacket speaker produces amazing sound. The battery last forever. We take it camping with us or on the boat. We take it on vacation with us or just in the backyard. It will last all day and you can streaming music directly to it. I tested out speakers that were priced higher than this, yet this sounded the best. If you are looking for big sound in a waterproof package this is a must.

I was a little iffy, after hearing soooo much about Beats speakers. I find that sometimes when you follow the crowd, you end up a little less than satisfied for the amount you spend. So of course, I looked at other options. Altec Lansing, thank you!!! I love this little speaker. It gives off great volume with bass. And I love that it's waterproof. Links up to my IPhone/IPad and my bf's Android so easily. I'd definitely buy another Altec Lansing product, especially a larger wireless speaker.

My son (w/Obvious help from Dad) gave me this for my bday last Nov. He knows I love chilling out back with my music and my phone speakers can be funny at times. How sweet of him to remember this. Of course he knows I love music anyway and I always have it going to do various chores as well. So, this is really great! At first I thought, ok it’ll be an “ok” sounding speaker, but it really is loud! Has really good bass sound without bottoming out. Very clear,quality sound. No, it’s no JBL sound, but it’s realky good. Did I say loud? So anyway it’s supoosed to be water resistant/proof. I had no intention of trying it out, but I assumed a little rain drop here or there wouldn’t hurt it and I’d bring in anyway. Well, it turned up missing once for 2 days. It turned out it got left outside in a 2 day rainstorm! It still works!! I love this thing! And it does sync super easy to phone. Some items can be tricky but this one pairs with no issues. I highly recommend!

The Mini Jacket 3 packs a big sound in a small package. Charges relatively quickly and lasts a good 8+ hours on a charge. Rugged casing proved its worth on a couple dropped incidents. Very satisfied with the purchase. Only annoying thing is the Altec Lansing announcement on every turn-on - minor nit on an otherwise great speaker.

This speaker is hands down the best portable waterproof speaker I have seen for this low of a price. It floats, completly waterproof (as long as you close back seal) and is super rugged. It charges other devices, but I found it won't charge my phone while playing music. That is the only downfall I have found. It charges other smaller items fine while playing though. Extremely loud for its size. Some live music playlists are a bit muffled with the base, but I have never noticed a problem with any other kind of music being played. Long Bluetooth range. The mini lifejacket 3 is worth the money.

I can’t say enough good things about this speaker. It’s water resistant, drop resistant, and is very loud for its size. I have listened to music while on my riding lawn mower. Easy connect to Bluetooth and long lasting battery. I love this thing!

I had a Mini Life Jacket 2, but it was destroyed in a car accident, so I went with the Life Jacket 3. The best improvement I've noticed is that when a phone call is incoming when my phone is connected, the sound stays at full volume; EVERY OTHER bluetooth speaker I've ever tried (including the Life Jacket 2) drastically lower volume as soon as a call connects; not this one! Of course, the quality of the music output is very good as well, even having a pretty full bass.

This speaker exceeded my wildest expectations! I had purchased another brand speaker from a reputable manufacturing, which cost at least $50 more and sound quality was disappointing, which prompted an immediate return an refund. My daughter friend had mentioned this product after I had told her my initial experience with another brand... Bought the recommended brand for much less and blew me away with its quality of sound even at max volume it's loudness still retaining incredible bass, mid's and treble sound quality. Great Buy at Reasonable Price!

Good sound, waterproof, so it's good for the shower, hot tub or the lake. Can be difficult to pair with the first time. Bonus: You can link several of these together for great sound!
