If you’ve been eyeing a smartwatch that doesn’t try to be a mini‑smartphone on your wrist—but still nails the essentials with style—the Amazfit Active 3 Premium might surprise you in the best way. It’s the kind of device you unbox, slip on, and immediately feel like it belongs in your daily rhythm. Unboxing Experience: The packaging leans clean and modern—Amazfit’s usual minimalist vibe. Sliding the lid off reveals the watch presented like a piece of jewelry rather than a gadget. The Silver finish catches light in a way that feels premium without being flashy. Inside the box: * The watch * A soft-touch band that feels better than you’d expect at this price * Magnetic charger * Quick-start card that’s actually readable It’s the kind of unboxing that doesn’t overwhelm you with extras. Just the essentials, well done. Daily Use & Comfort: The 45mm size hits a sweet spot: big enough for easy reading, small enough to stay comfortable all day. The aluminum frame keeps it lightweight, and the band doesn’t cause that sweaty wrist feeling during workouts. The UI is snappy—Zepp OS has matured into a smooth, intuitive experience. Swipes feel fluid, animations are clean, and notifications come through reliably without drowning you in noise. Battery life is classic Amazfit: multi-day endurance without babysitting the charger. Even with: * Always-on display * Heart rate + SpO₂ tracking * Sleep monitoring * A couple workouts per day …you’re still looking at 4–6 days comfortably. Health & Fitness Tracking: Amazfit continues to punch above its weight here. The Active 3 Premium delivers: * Accurate heart rate tracking * Solid GPS performance for runs and walks * Stress monitoring that actually feels useful * Sleep tracking that’s detailed without being confusing The new BioSense 3 sensor (2026 refresh) is noticeably more consistent during interval training and high-movement workouts. If you’re deep into fitness analytics, the Zepp app gives you charts, trends, and recovery insights that feel closer to Garmin-lite than a budget smartwatch. Smart Features This isn’t trying to replace your phone—and that’s part of its charm. You get: * Notifications with quick replies * Music controls * Weather * Calendar * Alexa integration * NFC payments (region-dependent) The watch handles the “daily convenience” category well without pretending to be a full app ecosystem. Display & Build Quality: The AMOLED display is crisp, bright, and readable outdoors. Colors pop without looking cartoonish, and the bezels are slim enough to feel modern. The Silver chassis gives it a classy, almost analog-watch vibe. It’s a smartwatch that doesn’t scream “tech”—it blends into both casual and professional outfits. Who This Watch Is For: This is a great fit if you want: * A premium-feeling smartwatch without the premium price * Multi-day battery life * Reliable health tracking * A lightweight, comfortable daily wear * A watch that looks stylish instead of tech-heavy It’s not for you if you need: * Full app store support * Deep smartwatch integrations like Apple or Samsung * Advanced training metrics (VO₂ Max, HRV load, etc.) beyond Amazfit’s ecosystem Final Verdict: The Amazfit Active 3 Premium is one of those watches that quietly impresses you. It doesn’t try to be everything—it focuses on being a beautiful, reliable, long-lasting daily companion, and it nails that mission. If you want a smartwatch that feels premium, performs consistently, and doesn’t require nightly charging, this one deserves a spot on your shortlist.

This watch is the perfect size being able to read everything without being overly large. Works great and dies everything I need it to do and more. Last a good amount of time without needing to charge everyday. And I leave my screan on all day except when sleeping. Im glad I desided on this watch. Alot less exspensive then your big dogs like Samsung and Apple but does everything you need. I like the feature to answer my calls and texts if I put me phone down while working in my garden. I also enjoy the step counter and walking features in the exercise program. Great overall watch.

We looked for a reasonably priced watch and, after reading a few reviews of smart watches, we chose this one. It's very reasonably priced and has the features we were looking for (and more) in a smart watch. Battery life is excellent, setup and pairing with our Samsung smart phone was easy, it's light weight, and comfortable to wear.

I wasn’t sure what to expect with this fitness watch as I have never owned an amazefit product before. The product description always appeared somewhat subpar in my opinion, but after using it for a week, it has become my favorite fitness / smart watch. For what I considered an entry level fitness watch, you get much more out of this device than expected. Pros: Long battery life Great fitness tracking Good sleep tracking Great style Sapphire glass Good Zepp app Cons: No NFC No EKG Limited set of apps First impressions: The device build quality cuts a few corners but keeps things feeling premium overall. First, the glass is sapphire so you should have no issue keeping it looking nice over its lifespan. The frame and the clasps for the band appear to be stainless steel, but the body (where the buttons reside) appears to be plastic. This is no issue so long as the device holds up, and it keeps it light. The strap is very flexible but is easy to make too tight so I recommend you put it on a little more loosely than you think it needs to be as it will hug your wrist very well at a low tension. I have what I consider medium - small sized wrists, the 45mm design fits perfectly and looks great. The screen is a bit on the smaller side for a 45mm watch, but it is plenty bright and usable. Fitness: I have been very impressed by the fitness features of this watch; it matches what you might find in something which costs much more. First, it includes 5ATM resistance, so you will have no issue with swimming or running in the rain with this watch. All the basic health tracking features are here including heart rate, SPO2, VO2, stress tracking, skin temp and so on. The only feature I wish it had is an EKG sensor, but I can live without that (obviously an issue if you need this for tracking heart issues). GPS seems highly accurate and it supports five different GPS types. Best of all, as it is not using any software made by Google or Apple, the ZeppOS onboard integrates very nicely with both Google Health, Apple Health and Strava. Sleep tracking: I wore it most nights since getting it and it provides useful results. The time asleep appears to be in line with my other devices I use alongside it. One surprise I found is that it does a great job at tracking Hypopnea (sleep apnea). I have it and issue a CPAP. The CPAP results are pretty much in line with what the watch Zepp app tells me for avg occurrences per night. Keep in mind this is “suspected” instances and not a medical tracking device for such use, but it can be used to help diagnose. Battery: Battery is outstanding. I have only charged it once in the week and it was at around 50% by that point. Battery use will obviously change based on your usage, but it is rated at 12 days. Various settings and use of GPS are very much going to influence the battery drain, but I found on days with lots of health tracking including GPS, the watch will go down just under 10% per day. Smartwatch usage: As it is not using WearOS or WatchOS, I was surprised how functional ZeppOS is. The appearance of the watch interface is most like watchOS in my opinion, so if you have a device using that, you will quickly adjust. It is not quite as smooth as ZeppOS is designed for low power usage, every function works very well. One restriction is you will not find many apps to download (there is a small store), but amazefit did a great job keeping the watch fully functional for necessary applications like timers, trackers, alarms, calling features, etc. One thing I like is that there are four buttons, people who are familiar with Garmin devices will like this as one set of buttons controls selection/back and the other set controls up and down scrolling. The touch screen works just fine, but when your hands are sweaty, it is raining, or you are wearing gloves, buttons are where it is at. Extras: Since I could talk about this watch all day, here are a few items I felt were worth mentioning but don’t want to write a paragraph about. Maps are included in the watch which is great for routing in the form of base maps, contour maps and ski maps. The size of these is limited so you might need to update and download prior to travel. Transfer is over Bluetooth so 13MB for example can take a few minutes. Podcasts can be added via RSS feeds or OMPL files in the app as can to-do list entries, MP3 files, voice memos, jet lag tracking, training plans. These are all based on the app/watch sync so don’t expect much in the way of external integrations. Watch faces are plentiful, a voice control option is present, but there is NO NFC.

Over the past week I have worn the Amazfit Active 3 during several types of workouts – see my comments below. Overall I found this watch to be reasonably accurate when measuring heart rate information, displaying routes run/cycled and levels of sleep. Because of the depth of the options and the use of four buttons and display swipe commands it can take some time to familiarize yourself with its many screens and functions. NOTE that it lacks an ECG function and AF alerting if that is a requirement. The screen is bright and easy to read however I found that it gets smeary from sweat and suntan lotion easily. The charging pod does not include a charging cord or supply and it requires a power connection via a USB-C cable. The battery life is long but this depends on the options you select such as always on display and continuous heart rate which can lessen it. The Zepp mobile app does a good job of extracting the watch data and putting it into useable fitness information. If you are looking to track your workouts and gain some insight into your overall fitness I highly recommend this Active 3 Premium. To validate the Amazfit Active 3 accuracy I compared it with my Apple iWatch and Aura ring. When cycling outdoors and on my indoor trainer I also used my Garmin chest strap and bike computer. Throughout all my workouts I found that this watch reported my heart rate and heart rate avg to be within 1 or 2 beats of all my devices. All the mapping that was provided on the watch or in the Zepp file during the walk, running and cycling were good enough to track my workout locations. There were some discrepancies but for the most part I found it to be accurate enough to give me insight into my workouts. Cycling: The amount of data provided by the watch and displayed in the Zepp app really surprised me. Before riding I selected the outdoor cycling workout so the start time and end times were the same for all my devices. After the ride I compared the information and found that the Amazfit was slow in the AutoPause and Resume function because it listed the ride as lasting 6 minutes longer than the Garmin and iWatch provided. This additional time affected the overall speed by lowering it. On the plus side the distance, climbing altitude gain, heart rate avg and max as well as the route shown in the app were accurate. The app also provided additional information that surprised me such as the avg grade and elevation gained and lost. On my indoor trainer the Zepp app showed all my heart rate data and provided a Training Effect graph of my Aerobic and Anaerobic efforts. Elliptical: When using the elliptical I decided not to preselect the activity and see if the watch detected my arm movements and started the correct workout. At the two minute mark the watch asked me if I wanted to record an elliptical workout which I selected. Interestingly it started the workout one minute after I started and not at the very beginning so my watch time at the finish was 9 minutes vs the 10 minutes on the machine. The heart rate and avg heart rate were accurate even with my arms in constant motion. Strength/Free training: I wore the watch during weight training and doing calisthenics. The heart rate was accurate even with my arms in constant motion. The Zepp app provided data on the avg/max heart rate, training load and training effectiveness. Walking: I wore the watch while I cut the grass which takes about an hour and the watch did not query me about an outside walk however it did count the steps I took. Next I did a walk that took me away from my house and after about a quarter of a mile it queried me about wanting to start an Outside Walk workout. The activity recorded a slightly shorter distance than the actual walk so it didn’t include the entire distance prior to the workout start. Running: For running I used the Outdoor Running workout so that it accurately contained the entire distance from start to finish. During the run and post run I compared the recorded and avg heart rates which were within 1 beat of the other monitors. I was surprised by the amount of data and graphs that this watch provides using the Zepp app. You get the Avg pace, avg cadence, heart rate zones, power output, gradient distribution, stride distance and more Bottom line is you get way more usable information to help you analyze your workout. Sleeping: The Active 3 tracked my sleep fairly close to my ring and iWatch for total time. The stages of sleep were harder to compare but overall the variations were not that different overall. It does capture nap information but can also confuse a nap with a quiet time like watching a movie. My overall sleep scores and recommendations seemed to keep in line with my other device so I believe this watch can provide insight into your sleep and recovery.

I have had several Amazfit watches over the years. The Amazfit Active 3 Premium is the first watch from Amazfit that I felt they actually got right. Amazfit has always had great specs at a bargain price that somehow felt a little too minimalist or incomplete. The Active 3 Premium changes all that, along with the Zepp app, provides excellent mid-tier performance with a bottom tier price. I've had the Active 3 for about a week. I opted for the Active 3 Premium because I wanted the sapphire face and stainless watchbody. I tend to be hard on watches, having broken my previous smartwatch. The 45mm face feels much larger than the 44mm watch that it replaced. Out of the box, there is the watch, a band, a charging block and basic instruction. The band snaps on easily. The charging block has a usbc connection and you need to supply both a cable and usbc power supply. The band is a perforated silicone band that is comfortable and breathes well, unlike solid silicone bands. The watch has four buttons, basically forward, backward, up, and down, in addition to a touch face. I like the four button design, because fumbling around trying to tap or swipe while active is dicey at best. The display is very bright and readable, even in direct sunlight. By default, the display 'lift to view'. I switched it to always on display, which affected battery life. The Active 3 Premium supports a whole host of activities and structured workouts. It also provides enough storage for music, podcasts, and maps, although not enough for an entire state. There are no base maps. It does provide all the usual sensors, except ECG and Afib detection. One really nice thing was that it could function as a remote heartrate monitor to another device without losing function as a watch. I cycle, indoors and out, play pickleball, walk, and hit the gym. I compared the accuracy of the Amazefit Active 3 with a bike computer, heartrate monitor strap, and another watch. It tracked very nicely, with no deviation except for altitude on outdoor cycling. With the gps active over three days of 40+ mile rides each day, and the watch face set to always on, I was still getting five days of battery life. Note that during pickleball and gym activities, the gps wasn't activated. The only thing I really missed was a 'pay' app. Apparently Zepp Pay is available in Europe, but not the US. At least the capability is there. Also, because the base os is proprietary (ZeppOS), the app selection is limited. For me, the negatives are minor and the positives, particularly the snappy response, make it excellent option for an entry or mid level sport watch. While it is advertised as a 'Runner's watch", it covers a broad range of sports and metrics. For the price the Amazefit Active 3 Premium can't be beat!

The Amazfit Active 3 Premium is designed for “new and entry-level runners” which desire a capable health fitness tracking device to track their metrics. As someone who has never heard of the brand Amazfit, I was a little skeptical of the device and the software behind it but after using it for the last week, I can say it is a very impressive device for the dollar given most of the same features are present as more expensive smart watch devices. This is all packaged within a fairly attractive design and premium build quality. IN THE BOX: - Smartwatch w/ Rubber Strap - Charger (Without USB-C Cable) - Manuals SETUP: Setting up the Active 3 requires use of the Zepp app which is unfortunate to have to download another app and set up a new account but the data can be synced to other health apps later if you prefer to use those instead. I was able to set up the Zepp app using social media login which streamlined the process. Installing the band onto the watch face was a little tricky as the spring loaded retainers are small but after getting everything hooked together it is very easy to take on/off of your wrist. Of course there is a plethora of bands to choose from if you do not prefer the included style. USAGE: The watch has most of the sensors that you would expect in a fitness tracking device including the main BioTracker™ PPG biometric sensor (5PD + 2LED) for monitor vitals plus others to help navigation and function of the device. - Acceleration sensor - Gyroscope sensor - Geomagnetic sensor - Barometric altimeter - Ambient light sensor - Temperature sensor - 5 Satellite Positioning - Bluetooth 5.3 The Active 3 allows for many offline functions including downloading maps directly to the watch for navigation, training sessions, and more. The GPS connectivity seems quick and accurate. The built in apps are expansive with a selection for most physical activities. The comfort of the watch is good with no issues with wearing it all day. I have not slept with the watch but it does have sleep tracking to help monitor rest and recovery. The watch has built-in speakers for use with media or making calls on the watch when a phone is nearby. My only real issue with the watch is getting used to all of the menus, apps, and where they are located. Likes: - Bright, AMOLED Screen - Physical Navigational Buttons - Slim, Attractive Design - Expansive Features/Health Metrics Dislikes: - UI Difficult To Navigate Overall, the Amazfit Active 3 Premium surprised me with its premium design and features for the price point. The user interface is not easy to understand in depth so it will take time to figure out how to use the watch to its full potential. The Android integration experience is fairly good as most features, notifications, and functions work seamlessly. The battery life is impressive for a smartwatch that has as many features as this one which makes wearing it more enjoyable. If you are seeking a smartwatch fitness tracker, I would at least check out the Active 3 Premium to see if it matches your needs.

The Amazfit Active 3 Premium is a very powerful smart watch with great battery life. It was easy and quick to set up with my 17 Pro Max. The hardest part is installing the band which is a band with small pins. There is a small push bar on the back of the band to assist with removal and it does help, but it is still fairly difficult to install the band. The band is rubber and comfortable at first. Over time it could become a little irritating. The included instruction booklet is almost impossible to read. Even with Glasses. There is a PDF version you can download online and print if you can’t read the included booklet. This watch / tracker has way more features than I expected. Because of that, there is a big learning curve. The description I saw really focused on running. It tracks much more than just running. I will use the walking, treadmill, swimming, cycling and free training workouts the most. It also tracks blood oxygen, pulse, sleeping patterns and more. You can add or remove workouts from the main workout selection screen to simplify scrolling to what you use most. There is a screen with widgets for apps of interest like weather, workout history, heart rate, sleep, and some Zepp specific features. App is called Zepp and is more complicated than I expected. Not something you can learn in a day but looks very powerful. The home screen gives a quick overview of most of your health metrics. The Workout screen gives information on your workouts. It also has Coaching and Calendar apps and you can start certain workouts from this screen as well. The third screen has badges for motivation. The fourth page is called Zepp Aura. This seems to be where premium features reside. Of course, these require a subscription. There is a 14-day trial. After that, the yearly subscription will cost $29.99 if you subscribe in the first few days. If you don’t grab this deal quickly, the subscription goes to $69.99 / year The last screen is for adding and customizing the compatible devices you own. Here you can see battery level, watch faces, the app store and settings for apps as well as a few other things. There are quite a few watch faces to select from. Most faces I tried are difficult to read. The text is just too small for these 58 y.o. eyes, even with my glasses. Some I can read, but they don’t necessarily have the information I want to see. I can’t figure out how to modify them (or if I even can). It would be great if I could. Functionally, the circular face doesn’t let you read in a glance as well as a rectangular face. There is more scrolling. However, it is more fashionable and looks really good. The screen is bright and clear enough for most apps. Touch scrolling works well but I wish there was a mechanical way to scroll. Notifications and alerts come thru more reliably on this watch than the one designed to work with my phone. The AI voice assistant needs some work. It answered some simple questions wrong and had a hard time hearing my questions. I went for a walk through a local mall. The GPS lost connection after I went indoors. I’m concerned that it might not have recorded the walk properly. Outdoor activities should not have this issue. Clearing notifications could be easier. Swiping left gives you a glimpse of the trash can but as soon as you let go it shoots to the right and off the screen. You need to swipe again to delete. If you swipe just right, you can delete in one motion but it’s difficult to do. Finally, battery life seems very good and charging seems quick. After a day and several hours, I still have 67% battery despite having the watch set to a 24-hour ON screen. When not in focus, most of the screen will be very dark but the time is still visible. If you lift your arm, it turns the full screen back on. I charged from 65% to 97% in about 30 - 40 minutes. So, a low charge to 100% should be under 3 hours. Would I recommend this? To the right people I would. The cost is very reasonable. The battery life is very good. It is fashionable. It does more than I ever expected it would. Those are the big selling points. However, it’s not as polished or integrated as my other watch. If you are already in an ecosystem, I’m not sure it is worth switching. If you don’t already have a tracker /smartwatch or need something that is compatible with more than one platform, this is a very good place to look.

This Amazfit Active 3 Premium is a proof that you don't need to spend top dollar for a top-tier health and fitness tracking. Sitting at about third price of some other leading smart watches, this device delivers incredible value without compromising on core feature, accuracy, or daily usability. As Pros: - Unbeatable Value as it delivers the performance, the health tracking, and the reliability of flagship watches at a fraction of the cost. - Step count, heart rate monitoring, and overall readings consistently match high-end competitors. Sleep scores aligned almost identically across two other smart devices. - Very comfortable on the wrist. Adding an aftermarket stainless steel band and screen protector elevates the design into a sharp and elegant look. - The display is crisp, clear, and easily readable even in direct sunlight. Touchscreen is very good with the 4 buttons controls. - Battery life is very good. Lasted around 3 full days under heavy and intensive use. Charges fast too. - The ZEPP is very good. Offering a lot of free features and nice apps and watch faces. As cons: - Connection is limited to Bluetooth only. Most users won't find this a big issue. - The watch profile is a bit high. Amazfit offers a slimmer model. I got used it to fast. - Charging through pin connectors and not wirelessly. Time will show if the pins will last. The one on the watch look like Gold Plating. It should not oxidize, rust or corrode when exposed to moisture, skin acids or salt from sweat... Time will show. I still prefer complete wireless charging. You should buy it if you are looking for an accurate fitness device that delivers accurate data, reliable sleep tracking, smart notifications, and stylish look without paying standard flagship prices. The Amazfit Active 3 Premium is an easy recommendation.

This smart watch/fitness tracker has been outstanding so far. I have been using it with my son in his track training for a week now and we are really enjoying the experience. There are 2 primary reasons why I enjoy this watch; The design and the functionality of the basics. Please keep in mind that this watch is not trying to be something its not, it is very functional, yet very user friendly (unlike other smart watches). When looking at the build of this watch the exterior says a lot about what a user can expect. Its round, stainless steel frame, 4 buttons on exterior aligning with 4 very different functions such as scrolling, selecting or going back. What I really enjoy about this design is that there is not touch screen buttons that 100% rely on tapping, what feels like, 1 pixel. The buttons can navigate with ease. The wrist band that it comes with is very standard, yet stylish too. Its rubber build will not get saturated with sweat or dirt. A well thought out exterior design. From a functionality standpoint it really hits the mark on all the basics such as steps, heart rate, recovery, sleep and many more and with the companion app you can access an abundance of data that you never knew you needed. As I mentioned my son is training for track season and we were able to watch his recovery and better understand when and how to push harder to reach and exceed his goals, all based on first hand data findings. This is all supported by one of its workout mode supports. All in all if you're looking for a fitness tracker that really nails the basics but is not trying to over-complicate things then this highly recommended for you. A great watch to those training or new to smart/watches.

The Amazfit Active 3 Premium checks all the boxes you could want in a smartwatch wearable for exercise tracking. The build quality for the Amazfit Active 3 Premium is quite good and better for Jan expected when I received the smartwatch. The 45mm bezel is made of stainless steel has sapphire glass and the screen is a 1.32” AMOLED display that is impressive. I think the display screen itself is a pleasure to look at as it is crisp and displays bright colors. I quite surprised at the quality when I am looking at the watch. Controls are simple. You can either swipe on the watch face itself for touch controls or use the four physical buttons on the sides of the watch. The Amazfit Active 3 Premiums watch straps are also comfortable and straps on securely when doing intense movements. There are also several watch faces that come on the watch itself or you can use the Amazfit app to download additional watch faces to suit you own unique style. There are also apps you can download as well. The Amazfit Active 3 Premium is packed with a ton of features for exercise and workout tracking, too many to list in this review. It is focused for runners as there is a GPS for tracking your running route which I like. Battery life is great too. I am currently at 50% battery and the last charge was 7 days ago. Like I said previously this smartwatch tracks literally everything including sleep. It gives great insight to things I have been wanting to improve in my life and this tool may be the thing to help motivate me.

I was in need of another Smartwatch after my other one crapped out. The Amazfit Active 3 Premium fit the bill. It's lightweight, stylish, and easy to navigate. What I enjoyed the most about the Amazfit 3 Premium is not only is it touch screen. It also has 2 extra buttons on the left side to navigate menus like a scroll. Sometimes you may not want to touch the screen of your watch, so having the extra buttons keeps the display nice and clean. There wasn't much setup for the watch. It was as simple as connecting to your Bluetooth and connecting to the app. This watch is meant for those who like to work out I'd say. There is so much you can manage and keep track of. If it's a workout you can name the watch will monitor and keep track of it. With the Zepp app you can go and customize your watch to your preference. The battery is another selling point for the watch. I've had some watches that needed to be charged every 2 days. I charged this watch to full and it's been 5 days and it's at 65%. So I'm looking at almost two weeks on a charge. The only negative was that you needed your phone to use the watch. It has to connect to the app in order for it to be used. Not everyone may like that. I mean the watch should have the basic settings out of the box for those who may not want to connect to the app and phone. Overall, I'm still learning things about the Amazfit 3 Premium. It may take some time to figure out all of the features it has. But after five days of testing, I'm liking it.

am a fairly active person and was searching for the perfect companion (fitness tracker) and I wanted something that wouldn’t break the bank. The Amazfit fit that bill. My initial impressions are that it is big device and wouldn’t be ideal for anyone with a small or medium-size wrist. The device does look great and feel great I can’t deny that but I did find faults with it which I will elaborate on a little later. The setup process is simple and it runs on “Zepp OS”. It is efficient and as advertised it offers segment leading battery life. More than you would get with any Apple or Samsung device. I downloaded the app and it was straight forward from there. Much like every other device you can fine tune the watch to your liking and use it how you see fit. I would like to point out that this is a fitness tracker first and foremost while it can alert you calls and messages I wouldn’t rely on it for that. I have a few complaints and that is that it has four buttons that is too many imo, and while I spent a considerable amount of time with the watch it is a mess in the sense that it isn’t for dummies like myself that just want an easy-to-use watch. I still have trouble navigating to the correct page or hitting the wrong button and not being able to do what I want with ease. Wearing this is frustrating to me, while it is a solid device and it does what it advertises like fitness tracking and it does it well it is a hassle to navigate. Counting steps, running, jogging it does all that and it doesn’t break a sweat like I do. I will reiterate that I charged the watch once a week and that is with heavy usage. Pros & Cons: Pros: - Easy to setup - Amazing battery life - Great fitness tracking - Great screen (bright) - Comfortable strap - Android & IOS compatible Cons: - OS is difficult to navigate - Too many buttons - Charger is easy to lose (too small) Overall, the Amazfit is a solid device and if fitness tracking is your thing, then check this out, while it isn’t without its quirks it is a solid device. It also helps that it isn’t crazy expensive.

This Amazfit active 3 smartwatch is a good affordable watch for anyone that wants to track their fitness and health. The watch is lightweight and comfortable to wear, the battery life is excellent, last charged for days. The sapphire glass helps the display be more vibrant. There’s four buttons on the watch, the top right button is for workouts settings, the bottom right button is the main/home and settings, the top left button is for shortcuts and notifications and the bottom left button is to scroll, but you can alway customize some of the buttons. The watch is stainless steel, water resistant 50 meters, silicone band and GPS. The reasons I gave this watch a 4 star is the lack of NFC on the Zepp os makes this watch unavailable to use for contactless transactions and payments like other smartwatch brands, also the always on display doesn’t always stay on, you still have to touch the screen to wake up the screen or move your hand to wake up the screen, the use of rhe watch for phone calls and text are ok but some of the features doesn’t work with my iPhone. The zepp app has a lot of health information to keep track of your progress, however to keep it accurate you will have to keep the app running on your phone. If you want to just track your fitness this is a great smartwatch for you but if you want to use your smartwatch for more like contactless payments, get a Samsung or Apple Watch.

I'll start with my feeling that this Amazfit Active 3 Premium smartwatch is a high-quality offering at a price point lower than other smartwatches. The positives: - Quality build - Excellent battery life -I went 5 days without having to charge it - Accurate GPS - Some sleep stage tracking (although not as good as a dedicated sleep tracker) - Health metrics including heartrate, VO2 Max - Some running-specific metrics that you won’t find on other smartwatches. For this reason, I say it is targeted at runners. I would have liked to have had this option when I was running more. The negatives: - It is pitched as not requiring a subscription, but I noticed that I kept getting alerts that I had “unlocked a discount.” Upon further investigation, I learned that it is a freemium offering whereby some features are available only through a paid subscription, including: - Personalized training plans - Advanced analytics - It has no third-party app connections that I could find. This means both learning a whole new system of menus, use, etc. and doing without those comnectinos. I’m not saying a runner could not get by without them, but buyer beware. Overall, it is a less expensive option to the more popular smartwatches, which means you would have to abandon that other watch. I found I was not willing to do that (charging and wearing two watches?) because of the features I have gotten used to leveraging on that other watch. Bottom line: the change is not worth it for me. If you are a runner and have not made an investment in an expensive smartwatch or are unhappy with your smartwatch, you might find you like this Amazfit product better because of the running specific-features. But if you are already invested and used to using another product, you may find it difficult to change as I did, so I would not recommend it to that user profile.

Amazfit - Active 3 Premium 45mm Smartwatch I had no previous knowledge of Amazfit and had not heard of them until I saw this the Active 3 Premium. My only experience was with other smart watches attached to brand phones. Also, I haven’t had a smart watch in several years, so I felt I was taking a gamble. Turns out, this was a very safe bet. This watch is really nice, all around from the tpu band that came with the watch, to the selection of watch faces and the software that seems to track everything you do, especially when working out. Another aspect I remember not really being a fan of at the time was the battery size of smart watches from a few years back. I could barely get through a day before needing to recharge it. I am so relieved to find out that battery mah size has increased significantly since. I have had this watch for about 3 days now. I charged the watch after opening and setting it up. Speaking of which, comes with a nice small charging puck, very lightweight and small. I simply use existing type C cables I already have laying around my desk to charge the watch. The only problem I found is that it was so good, that through 3 days of use with everything activated aside from always on display (AOD), I was still at 69%! I read where with those bells and whistles turned off, this watch can go around 12 days with out a charge. Wow. The software is also a positive here. The Amazfit app, called Zepp, worked fine the entire time I used it. I have not had time to use all the settings so far as there are so many. There are many tools aimed at the fitness and running folks out there. I personally liked that it kept me updated on the calories I was burning throughout the day. For sleep tracking, that is here with also being in a section called HybridCharge that advises on the sleep you took with how you should be feeling because of it and gives advice on what to do that day. This should get more robust the more I use it and get used to it as it gets used to me. Notifications were sent through the watch with no problems and hardly any lag, which I always appreciate. The build quality for this watch is also very good. I am very impressed all around considering this watch goes for hundreds less than othe smart watches of similar quality. I always had an issue with previous watches coming with bands that seemingly were made for giants. I do not have huge wrists, rather small actually. This usually is an issue finding a good band that fits and is also comfortable. I actually ordered a band online for back up, which I usually always did previously. Turns out I didn’t even need to take them out of the packaging and returned them promptly because low and behold, the included band is very nice. The band while TPU, feels strong and durable but not overly heavy on the wrist. Has many holes for a good size difference in wrists, which should cover most people comfortably. I highly recommend this watch to not only the runners, but anyone who lives a busy lifestyle as well. The battery is unbelievably impressive in my short time with it. If you don’t want or can’t spend up to $700 for other smart watches, the Amazfit Active 3 Premium is under $200 and very worth it! I am very relieved that there are other choices for smart watches and even better than some bigger brands. If you’re looking for a quality watch that does the job of tracking health data as any other watch, but far less, this is the one to get. Great product. Also comes with an online store to download apps and watch faces for customization and the selections was pretty good.

GOOD - Setup is easy - Doesn't prompt for a subscription or premium service - On-board storage for maps and music - Lots of pre-programmed exercise modes - Lots of extra features considering the price - Integrates data tracking with lots of fitness services BAD - Somewhat bulky and heavy - Lots of customization options and health tracking metrics can overload those new to advanced fitness trackers TLDR The Active 3 Premium may well be the most feature-rich smart watch under $200. It easily competes with watches and trackers costing almost twice as much. While I wouldn't describe it as bulky, the watch is bigger and heavier than a lot of other wearables. It also has a lot of options, configurations, and features that may be a bit overwhelming for those new to smart watches. DETAILS I got this for my wife as her first smart watch. She'd had a few simple health trackers before, like early Fitbits, but nothing on this level. Setup was simple. You have to create a Zepp account if you don't already have one. But you don't need to provide any info more senstive than your name and email address. It doesn't even ask for your full birthdate, only month and year alone. And though Zepp does offer premium services, never was I prompted to subscribe to anything or provide any kind of payment information. The Active 3 has normal smart watch features that you would expect. All phone notifications can be mirrored to the watch so you can see when text messages, phone calls, emails, and other app toasts come up. You can also accept calls directly on the watch as an external Bluetooth headset/speaker. Lots of different watch faces are available for you to customize your view and track the info you use most. If anything, it might be a little too much for someone new to smart watches. The included manual is rather stark and you have to look online for an extended manual and instructions on how to customize everything. Though the watch only works through the Zepp mobile app, it does integrate with other big fitness tracking services like Strava and shares info with Apple and Google health. The Active 3 goes beyond just the regular health info like steps and heart rate and tracks things like VO2 max and exercise recovery. It also has on-board storage that allows not just music, but also offline maps. These kinds of things are often restricted to more expensive watches or those requiring a subscription plan. Battery life is quite good as you can get almost week out of one charge even with heavy use. You can maybe stretch it to 10 days, but I think the claimed 12 day is too much ( maybe if you just left it on a table and it did nothing ). The GPS radio really hammers the battery, though. If you leave it on all the time, you'll need to charge the watch every day. Personally, I don't find daily charging that big of deal since it's simple to just charge the watch in the morning while you're showering and getting ready. Yes, the Active 3 is waterproof, even to the point you can swim with it, but it's not like I can't part with it for 30 mminutes while showering, getting dressed, and brushing my teeth. My wife likes the food scanner function on the Zepp and finds it handy in tracking her eating and intake. However, she says she hasn't found anything where she can track her water consumption. She also likes how many pre-set activity tracking functions it has for walking, running, and nearly everything else. Though again, she does have problems finding where to set things like preferred heart rate zone and a few other settings to make her exercise tracking more tailored to her. In all, this seems like a dang good watch for only $170ish. This would probably still be a good watch around the $250 range. If you're not put off by the slightly larger size and aren't afraid to dive into multiple tutorials to get it configured just for you, this may be one of the better smart watches for the money.

Amazfit - Active 3 Premium 45mm Smartwatch - Silver offers body metric tracking, including vital signs, blood oxygen levels, workout tracking, step counting, and so much more. You can also receive calls and make calls from your wrist just like any other smartwatch. You can get text notifications, but you can't respond from the watch itself. The Sapphire AMOLED Display is customizable with your own images and is bright and vivid. It also features a remote control function for your phone's camera so that you can take amazing selfies right from your wrist. The GPS stores offline maps, so your training does not require your phone, and it has amazing battery life. I wear it at night to track my sleep patterns, and it works well; I haven't had to charge it in 3 days. AMAZFIT provides very accurate step counts and data I've never seen before nor thought I would care about. It also has a thermometer, a compass, and a very loud speaker for a wristwatch. But I still wear headphones. It has a very nice companion app and nice built-in workouts, and you can also add more in the app. It also picked up my stress level immediately when a stressful situation came up at work, and it automatically detected my snooze in the break room and recorded the data. This watch brings blood oxygen levels, stress levels, sleep patterns, and calorie burn to the forefront for someone who's always thought I was on top of my physical fitness and health. All my club members now want an Amazfit watch, and I am in a running club.
