Thankfully easy to set up. Yeah as many features I didn't expect like the sound level shows up and the display. Music, weather, news really great. I do use a Bluetooth hook up to a better speaker. Price is reasonable.

I got this echo dot to replace a 3rd generation echo dot and the alarm clock in my bedroom. I absolutely love it, the clock is a great addition and the sound quality and mic are a big upgrade from the 3rd generation. Plus the set-up and connecting to other Alexa enabled products are so much easier and much more user friendly than previous generations. It came with a free smart light bulb and I already had 2 smart plugs, 2 fire sticks and a fire TV and connecting to them was as easy as finding them in the app and clicking on them it literally took seconds, now even those who aren't tech savvy can do it without a problem. I love it and would definitely recommend it

We have a bunch of Echoes throughout the house; we use them to augment security with motion monitoring (fun fact: ultrasonic motion detection is a feature of these), fpr music throughout the house, and of course, home automation. Sound quality is surprisingly good for such a compact multipurpose device; they dont give Klipsch a run for the money but are actually quite listenable. My primary complaint about these, and this applies to all Amazon Echoes, is you cannot reboot them by voice or app, but must power cycle them by pulling the power cable. This is a design flaw that Amazon really needs to correct, because power and cable outages often require the echoes to be rebooted to restore full functionality... so be sure you don't mount these out of reach.

So far I love it. I already happened to have a time with Amazon Fire built in to it. Abd they gave me a smart bulb upon purchase. I'm still learning to use it and the commands but its made my life easier. If your putting this in your room I recommend it. It works well as a digital clock. The sound for when you listen to music is pretty good. It navigates the TV pretty well. And the mic will typically pick up the wake up word easily even if it's behind you. I wish it could send text messages from your phone to you but that's about one of my few gripes with it. The setup is also really easy for it. I think for $60 it's a steal. The only difference between the dot and regular echo is believe is the speakers.

I replaced my first generation Echo with this new smaller Echo Dot 4th generation.. absolutely love it,I’ve had it for about three weeks now and it works amazing. Love the digital clock that is displayed (which can be changed in brightness in the app) and the fact that it also shows you time remaining when you set a timer. The sound is great for a smaller speaker and it picks my voice up better than my old model, I highly recommend this new Echo!!

My fiancé loooooves it. According to him, it’s the best gift that I’ve given. But Alexa lost the podium when I bought to him a monitor from Dell. So Alexa is in second position now. Lol

I have this one in our bedroom because of the clock that is visible at night. I have 3 of these through out the house and just love them. Alexa is helpful but I love to be able to have music throughout the house and to be able to announce dinner or what I need to throughout the entire house!! I pairs with my iPhone and iPad and I can also use my apps like Sirrus Xm. The greatest feature is the Guard feature. Alexa listens for any alarms or sounds of breaking glass and will notify me.

Does what it's supposed to do, compatible with lots of smart home devices, smart plugs, and skills. Routines are also easy to set up to perform multiple actons with single commands. Easy to set up and use with the Alexa app. Sound quality is great and it can be paired with other Echo devices for playing music. You can even link two Echo dots and an Echo Sub to use as a home theater if you have a Fire TV Stick or Fire TV. Definitely worth purchasing.

I love Alexa and I love the time that is displayed.

The sound on this 4th gen echo is amazing. I tested it with Spotify and it has full control. I can say a specific genre to play or I can ask it to play one of my created playlists. It will also pause and skip the songs as well. It's almost louder than a huge Bluetooth speaker tower that I bought. The clock portion is the perfect brightness at night as well. I'm very sensitive to sound and light when trying to sleep so the clock is just dim enough where I can see it without the light bothering me. This thing is better than a lot of stand-alone clocks or small speakers, the Alexa capability is just a plus. I liked it so much a bought a second one for my living room

Love this echo with clock. It was on sale so I got a great price. Very convenient to have a clock display again. Easy to adjust volume for alarm, which I need as my hubby is hard of hearing. Speaker sounds great too when listening to music. Would definitely buy again.

Amazon echo dot 4 gen is great I love the clock display bright when the lights are on and dims when the lights are off you can easy ask your echo anything great device!

That’s my third Alexa Echo dot with clock, but this time I have bought a new model of 4th generation. I really love this new design. The clock display is better visible and listening to music from loudspeaker is more enjoyable. Highly recommend!

My review might be a little biased because my household is completely ran by Alexa LOL. I already own an Alexa Echo Dot (I believe it’s 4th Gen as well but to describe it, it’s the black circle). I brought this one for my bedroom because of the clock on the front. The prices for Amazon products almost makes you question “is it legal?” because you just can’t beat it. The only con I have about the product is the volume/bass for playing music is pretty bad but this is not the Echo Dot for that — I know there are other Echo Dots that have a better sound than this one. Overall, I’m super satisfied with the product!

Better sound. Clock face is a much appreciated addition. No longer uses usb for power which is so much better. Only xomplaint is the cord is white on all models and would look better if it was the same color. Other then that its solid.
