I decided to upgrade from my kindle matcha and I’m honestly not super impressed. The new one is a little faster than the previous but it’s not ground breaking. I’m not entirely sure if this is an issue for multiple people or just myself but it seems like there’s a burnt screen. The letters from previous pages always show and I’ve tried all the methods to remove them. The button being moved to the side was a feature I was really looking forward to it is definitely nice when you’re reading. But when your storing it you have to be very careful because the button the side turns it back on. So while the battery life is supposed to be longer lasting it’s dying quicker because it’s being accidentally turned on when it’s in my bag or pockets. I do love the new color and the sleek feeling with the new back. I was hoping with this new release we would have seen a waterproof feature nonetheless still not upgraded in that aspect. While you could get the Paperwhite or more expensive models I’m just not willing to compromise on the size difference. Over this release just fees like it’s a catch twenty two in a lot of ways. I wouldn’t say don’t get it for a new consumer. But I will say if you have the basic you really don’t need to upgrade to this one unless you just want the new color.
