I had considered getting the apple magsafe charger for a while, but was always hesitant due to the price. I caught this Anker alternative on sale. It had good reviews so I decided to give it a chance and I was not disappointed. It works well with my magsafe case — it stays reasonably attached during charging and use, and it’s convenient not having to fumble around with inserting the lightning cable in the port. It also looks sleek and well made.

Close enough to apples original MagSafe charging pads charging speed, but you can still notice the difference.

Unfortunately, the mesh padding on this charger eventually ripped off from the disk, but it does still work

I am using this charger with an IPhone 13 Mini with an Apple Silicone case connected to an Insignia USB-C charging plug. It does a great job of quickly charging the phone. The phone is less apt to fall off the night stand when attached to the charger than when connected via the lightning cable.

What a great charger! Everyone knows the biggest annoying of charging your phone with a wireless charger is finding the right spot for the wireless charging to recognize. Well not in this case! It instantly attaches to your phone and charges instantly. Although, it does not display the charge icon that is unique to the newer iPhone models like the official charger from Apple does but don't let this distract you from the fact that this is a great charger. This wireless charger is thin, small - but super effective. My phone charges really quickly on it, and it feels SO nice to just set my phone down and not have to worry about wires and whatnot. I was worried that the cord would be short but the cord attached to my charger is really long and gives me more than enough room to place it on my desk. I'm likely going to buy another one of these chargers for my office since it's so convenient! The charger has great build quality. The housing is aluminum, which gives it a nice, solid feel. It also has a comforting heft to it, without being heavy. The design of this charger is also very thoughtful. It lays flat, is simple, but elegant. The magnet holds as well as the Apple MagSafe charger (keep in mind that for either one, you’ll get the strongest hold with a phone case designed for MagSafe or without using a case at all). I have two official Apple cases - one leather case and one white silicon case. This charger attached securely with both the cases without any issues. I've tested it by rigorously shaking and the phone never fell off, which is quite impressive. I've attached pic of my phone attached to the charger while it's hanging. The only complaint that I have with this is that it does not charge my phone when connected with my laptop. I tried both, a MacBook & a windows laptop but it didn't charge. Not sure if Apple MagSafe charger has the capability to charge through laptop or not but this one surely doesn't have. This is the reason for taking one star off. Other than this, this is a great charger. I consider this a “no brainer” charger. You put your phone on it and it charges (as long as your phone is compatible). There is nothing worse thank trying to plug your phone charger in when it’s dark, if you can get it plugged in then after awhile the cord will break or the port on the phone will. Not gonna happen with this charger.

The placement board on this charger is so small you have to place it almost perfectly for it to charge..on top of that it makes your phone get hot

I’ve been using the Anker PowerWave Select+ Magnetic Charging Pad for about a month now, and it’s been a great addition to my desk setup. The magnetic alignment works flawlessly with my iPhone, snapping into place every time without needing to fiddle with positioning. Charging is efficient and consistent, and I haven’t noticed any overheating issues. I really like the silver finish—it looks clean and matches well with my other Apple accessories. The build quality feels solid and premium, which is what I expect from Anker products. One small downside is that it doesn’t come with a power adapter, so you’ll need to use your own, but that’s common with many charging accessories these days.

This is the first time I used a MagSafe compatible charger and I can say it works as expected. This Anker magnetic charger is designed for iPhone 12 or higher.. Upon opening the package I did not realize that this charger did not come with a charging brick. This was disappointing, the good thing is it will work with any USB type C brick. I first tried this charger with my phone 12 with a case on. The case is thin but also thick enough to protect the phone. With a case on I notice that the magnetic connection was not very strong. The phone will charge but it’s probably best if you don’t pick up the phone while it charges. Without the case the connection between the magnet is stronger. I could see myself taking off the case to be able to move around and use the phone. That being said, this charger does have a reasonable 5ft long cable. Something to mention which I really like is that the magnet side has a soft pad which is great to protect your phone from scratches. Pretty nice feature. Something I cannot understand is this charger is marketed for iPhone 12 and higher but max wireless charge is 7.5W any other phone brand it will do 15W. Overall, this charger will work as expected and is a good alternative from a respectable brand.

This charger works exactly as expected and has a strong magnetic grip for your MagSafe enabled iPhone. The top surface has a cloth like material that won’t scuff the back glass of your phone and the grip is strong overall. It even works well with MagSafe case. The only major negative is that the charger does not come with the power plug, so you will need to spend on a usb-c power plug. Also the output of the usb-c port will determine how fast your phone charges. You can also plug into a laptop or battery pack that has usb-c but again, charging speed will be limited by how much the usb-c is able to output.

Wireless charging, half the cost, with usb C. Wont work through non magsafe cases, so thicker ones like otterbox defender. Soft felt is great, usb c is great, but i really wish the cord itself wasnt molded in the charger. Maybe having charging puck standalone, with a usbc port would be like 10x better.

We love our three Magnetic Charging Pads. They are much easier to use than the charger you plug into your phone, and we feel the Charging Pad charges our phones much faster.

No issues at all! Super fast charge and easily connects magnetically even after two years of use.

I bought this charger a few years back and it’s still working. It’s still together. I have no problems with it. I’ve done upgraded my iPhone twice since I bought this charger and all is going well, who doesn’t love a magnetic charger.

Great product very good magnet and easy to remove. Charging is smooth and fast. USB C is the only way to go. My mother is visually impaired and the MagSafe system is superb, no more mis alignment charging.

Chargers fast and still works, the only complaint is that the little thing (I dont know the term) right before the cord hits the pad came loose.

This Anger-PowerWave Select+Magnetic Charging Pad works great. It charges fast, and attaches itself to the back of the phone securely. It was also a good bargain.
