Battery life is strong. Have only had to charge the case once in the few weeks I’ve had this. The actual earbuds themselves last for several hours as well though I have not used them to depletion to give an exact range. Sound quality is pretty good though not incredible. I’m no expert but these definitely do not hit as hard as I would like them to in either in ear/open. Will continue to mess w eq though and see what works best Stays on ear but could be more secure for more intense running/boxing/etc. Unfortunately one I dropped and got crushed which i’m not blaming on the product In ear is actually pretty uncomfortable for me. I was hoping the tips would be more squishy but they feel like a softer/silicone materialed and larger version of standard apple earbuds. Starts to hurt my ears after a few minutes so i tend to just use open ear Overall good purchase, I like the option to adjust closer to my ear drums and i often forget they’re there in open ear but don’t enjoy wearing them as in ear, the sound is good but could be better. Price is fair when discounted

I have been using the Anker Soundcore AeroFit 2 Pro earbuds for about a week, and I am extremely pleased with the sound and performance. The clever, hybrid design really delivers on the dual form use that Anker is promising. They not only sound great, but are also comfortable to wear. My favorite benefit of using the open ear design is that I can still hear what is going on around me. What I usually do in those situations is only wear one earbud, which of course compromises the sound. There are so many things that I like about them so please read on for more details. Setup is fast and easy. All it takes is downloading the Soundcore App and pairing the earbuds to your phone. Using the App is not required, but recommended. The App provides a high level of customization and control. The App is intuitive and provides in App explanations for most of the control selections. Transforming the earbuds from open ear to closed ear mode is done mechanically by rotating the earbud on a hinge. With some practice this can be done without removing the earbud from the ear. I sometimes wear one earbud in the open ear configuration and another in the ANC configuration. Doing this does however disable ANC processing. As I indicated above, I love the open ear configuration for many different situations, and appreciate the flexibility to adjust based on my environment and needs. Another thing I love about these earbuds is how comfortable they are. I was initially concerned that the ear loops would be uncomfortable, but found that the opposite was true. By securing the earbuds, the ear loops actually increase my comfort. So much so that I sometimes forget that I am wearing them! The sound quality is excellent in both modes. Of course there is more ambient sound penetration in the open ear mode. In the ANC mode the ear canals are nearly sealed and the ANC processing does a formidable job of blocking out noise. Naturally the ANC mode offers the best quality sound dynamics. The sound quality of these earbuds, in my opinion, rivals most other reference quality earbuds. The App offers a fully customizable 8 band EQ that has a few different presets and individually customizable settings for ANC and open ear mode. I highly recommend testing out the various EQ options to find a level that meets your individual preference. Everyone has different ear sizes and adjusting the EQ can really make a difference to your individual hearing. Thus far the battery life has been excellent. I have used it extensively every day which consists of putting it in and out of the case a few times a day, and leaving it in the case overnight. I did not need to charge the case for nearly a week and the case was still near 50 percent charge. The case itself is larger than most other earbud cases, which is due to the ear loop needing to fit inside the case. The magnets in the earbuds and the case are quite strong and nearly attach themselves. The Anker Soundcore AeroFit 2 Pro will be the earbuds that I take on the go. The hybrid design makes them perfect for active lifestyle use. The excellent sound quality also allows these earbuds to be used for critical listening. I highly recommend them and will be using them extensively.

I got these for my wife. She is one of those people that actually hates ear buds. For years, she complained about every ear bud she tried, even the “fruit” ones! I think she just has ears with canals that are smaller and just struggle to accommodate a good solid fit. I got these earbuds for her, hoping that they would fit her ears. Typical ear buds do not stay in their small ear canals. She has been very frustrated on planes and during exercise because none of the ones she has had in the past would stay in her ears. These, however, are amazing! They mount over the ear so they attach better with part of them behind the ear that anchors them in there. They also uniquely mount and then “slide” down over the ear canal. This is a great option and ensures a great fit They have variable positions with the options of open ear and ANC. When in the ANC position she could not hear me talking to her several feet away. They are very comfortable and she can still wear them with her glasses. The sound is very clear and when she is talking on the phone, you cannot tell that she is using them. Sound configuration options are handled in the app. I have included a couple of pics. You can turn on Intelligent Noise Cancelation and also Wind Noise Reduction. When you put both on, INC is activated automatically if its selected. There are also various Sound Effect options such as their Classic Soundcore Signature, Balanced, Bass Booster, Volume Booster, Classical and more. My wife, not being the huge audiophile (lol) had some trouble distinguishing between these but in my listening, I did notice some distinct improvements and differences between the modes. Connecting them to her Bluetooth on her iPhone was quick and easy. The app is very useful showing features as correct wearing positions, controls and sound effects. There is also a gaming mode. She is thrilled with these, and battery life seems good as well as they charge quickly with the nice case and USB-C included cable. While these are not my primary choice, you have to understand that sometimes things like not only the sound quality and options matter, but the comfort, ease of use and user happiness matter. For that, they get 4 out of 5 stars and especially if you have the same issues with in-ear earbuds.

The Anker Soundcore AeroFit 2 Pro Dual Form open ear earbuds are a delight for someone with an active lifestyle. My hobby and activity is outdoor running all year round. I have not been a big fan of standard earbuds as they don't work well for my ear shape. This Anker Soundcore AeroFit 2 Pro has a unique design that fits comfortably and stays in place during my daily 10 mile runs. I love the ear hook design because it sits above my ear and the earbud fits into my ear canal. The open ear design is perfect for my awareness and safety, as I dislike being isolated from my surroundings. In fact when I was chased by an aggressive dog I heard it coming from afar because I could still hear my music while running, but I also heard the barking getting closer in the short distance. The Bluetooth wireless design is very comfortable and truly wireless, allowing freedom to move without being tethered. The package contains the wireless charging case, the left and right earbuds, and a USB-C cable. These earbuds have a unique shifting ability: one mode allows for open-ear listening to hear your surroundings, and another mode increases Active Noise Cancellation to help isolate your music or streaming content. I love wearing these earbuds while working at my desk in an office. I can keep the open ear mode on when I need to hear other coworkers talking while simultaneously streaming my music. When I need to use ANC for my music, I can adjust the ear hook design and create 5 different levels of ANC for my specific needs at that time. Fast charging on these earbuds can provide 3.5 hours of playback with a 10 minute charge. In total with a fully charged case you can get 34 hours of playback and the earbuds seem to last almost 7 hours per charge. As mentioned earlier I love to run outdoors and I've been running in 90+ degree temperatures. The earbuds are IP55 rated, making them water-resistant to my sweat and rainy days. The earbuds are also great for phone calls throughout my day at the office, while commuting, and during runs. There are 4 microphones and AI Clear Calls technology minimize background noise, ensuring callers can hear me clearly at all times. I wear these earbuds practically all day long and they are light and don't put any pressure on my ear canal or ear. The earbuds also offer a HI RES audio and LDAC to help keep your sound pumping clearly and with depth through the 11.8 mm drivers. Spatial audio gives yyou an immersive experience that keeps you wrapped into the music, show, or movie you're watching. Paired with the Soundcore app I can customize the sound and preference a little bit more to my liking. The physical control buttons on the earbuds allow for a nice integrated look that keeps you looking sharp and classy. I find this AeroFit 2 Pro Dual Form with ANC to be a very versatile style earbud. I wear mine most of the day for work, play, and leisure. They fit comfortably and stay in place. Standard earbuds don't work for my ear shape; they tend to slip out when I yawn, sneeze, chew food, talk, or even tilt my head downward. I have not had any worries about my AeroFit 2 Pro falling off my ears. They are comfortable and secure at all times. The sound quality is excellent, and the functionality is perfect for my active lifestyle.

I first discovered the quality of Soundcore’s offerings with the stellar AeroClip. Those are fantastic, so I was happy to try these which are more focused on active scenarios. While the Clips are fully open air and I love them, these offer a hybrid option to quickly switch between true open ear listening to an active noise cancelling (ANC) setup. It’s a pretty cool trick and the design makes it effortless to use. __ Design & Comfort __ These earbuds accomplish the open vs. ANC options very well. Rotating the ear buds into your ear along pre-set, discrete angle positions will trigger ANC automatically. Rotating them back out of your ear automatically switches back to open listening, adjusting volume to compensate and everything. It’s very convenient and exactly what you want when you want earbuds doing double-duty. In some scenarios, like biking on streets, you really want to be able to hear your surroundings, for everyone’s safety. At other times, ANC can be helpful for focus and undisturbed listening. When it comes to comfort, these do a great job of feeling light on the top of the ears while providing great support. Depending on the ‘open’ angle, they provide a bit more leeway for how you position them as well. At times, this caused me to miss the best position (rotation) for maximum comfort, but they still aren’t going anywhere once you have the hooked on your ear. They also look great on the ear in any configuration - not too big, but large enough to make it easy to set the angle when manipulating them while wearing. By virtue of including ear hooks, the case is a bit larger at about 3.5" wide, but it feels professional and protects and charges these well. A small window on the lid also partially covers the front LED to create an attractive, modern dot-grid pattern. Nice little touches. __ Sound __ These have great depth and clarity, sounding just about as great as my AeroClip. (Quality feels on-par with all major manufacturers.) The added ANC is great for flexible listening and their form factor is much better for me when doing yard work or running. In my testing, I would say the ANC isn’t the strongest I’ve heard. For example, they were able to drown out the sound of an air conditioner very well, but didn’t handle a vacuum cleaner as well as others I own. The actual speaker (or bud portion) is of the style that sits in your ear and doesn’t form a silicone seal. I prefer this, honestly, as it keeps them from exerting pressure in the ear canal, but it doesn’t isolate outside sound in the same way. __Overall __ These are great. They sound great and feel both comfortable and adaptable. You can choose to maximize safety with your surroundings (biking) or shut out the world more for focus, with ease. Nearly the best of both worlds, with the ANC coming across just a little bit weak.

The AeroFit 2 Pro earbuds with open ear and ANC forms are and interesting take on earbuds. You can have them up in the open ear mode, or have them all the way down to be able to enable ANC mode. They are very comfortable and I have worn them for hours almost forgetting I had them on. I was also wearing glasses/sun glasses, and they were still comfortable. The sound quality is very good right out of the box. You can fine tune it via the app, but I found that the preference test doesn't really work. In my case, I tried all three options, and not matter how I made my choices it bumped up the treble a lot and removed all the bass. You're much better off using the presets or the built in EQ. The ANC is adaptive, so at first I really didn't notice any difference between normal and ANC mode, but when I went on some walks, it was apparent that the ANC was blocking out background noise, but due to the design it doesn't completely block out the noise, which is actually a good thing, especially out on walks or running. Phone calls are crystal clear using the AeroFit 2 Pro's four mic's and it's AI enhancement feature. I was able to make and take calls in some noisy locations and be able to have a normal conversation. I was told that they really couldn't hear much background noise. Battery Life is great as well with up to 7 hours on a single charge, and up to 34 hours including the case. Using ANC drops that down, but I have never come close to running out of charge after several hours of using them. These earbuds are IP55 rated, so you should have good protection from everyday weather and dust, but don't submerge these earbuds in water.

The Soundcore AeroFit 2 Pro earbuds have been an absolute treat to wear. I've been on the open-ear earbud train for about the last two years and honestly haven't looked back. It originally started because my wife is allergic to the silicone earbuds, which led us to try alternatives to traditional earbuds.. Since then, I've become a huge fan of open-ear earbuds because of how comfortable they are for long listening sessions, as I tend to get ear fatigue from in-ear designs The one downside to open-ear earbuds has always been travel. I travel for work often, and am on a plane many times a year, which is always when I regret having open earbuds. These help bridge that gap, where I can actually plug my ears and drown out the noise of the plane. I love the flexibility of being able to wear these in open ear form throughout the day, where I almost forget I’m wearing them, but still have the benefit of in-ear when needed. These sound fantastic in either mode, but obviously in ear always has a richer tone and better base. The ANC performance is actually pretty great. I wasn’t expecting much with ANC earbuds, and I didn't fully appreciate how effective it was until I started wearing them out to my hot tub at night. The first time I switched these into ANC mode, I suddenly realized just how loud the hot tub actually was because so much of that noise disappeared. For earbuds, the noise cancellation is remarkably effective. One area where I've had mixed results is phone calls. I've used these for five or six calls so far, and on pretty much every call the person on the other end mentioned having difficulty hearing me. I've tried both the open-ear and in-ear modes to see if one performed better than the other, but so far I haven't noticed much difference. I'm still hoping there's a setting buried somewhere in the app that I haven't found yet, but at this point the microphone has been the biggest weakness of the earbuds for me. I’ve been finding myself switching to my other earbuds when calls come in, which is a bit disappointing. I also somehow keep activating the spatial audio head-tracking feature. Every time I think I've turned it off, I manage to trigger it again. That's probably more user error than product flaw, but at this point it’s become kinda funny because I can’t seem to get away from it. Battery life has been excellent so far. I've used them extensively over the last several days and haven't had a single concern about running out of power. That's not surprising coming from Anker. I've owned a lot of Anker products over the years, and battery performance has always been one of their strengths. If I have one complaint beyond the call quality, it's the charging case.. it’s enormous. It’s easily the largest earbud charging case I've ever owned. I included comparison photos in my review because seeing it next to other earbud cases really highlights just how large it is. It’s definitely not pocket friendly. Overall, I think Soundcore came up with a genuinely innovative design here. If you're already an open-ear earbud fan but occasionally find yourself wishing you had a traditional set of noise-canceling earbuds for travel, think you’ll be very happy.

The Anker Soundcore AeroFit 2 Pro Dual-Form Wireless Bluetooth earbuds are quite possibly one of my favorite bluetooth earphones I've ever used. Sound is excellent and they are very comfortable. They offer two different fittings -- Open Ear and ANC. I love the way the ANC fitting feels. Secure, stays in my ears with no worries like with other earbuds that don't have a loop over the ear. The Open Ear fitting was supposed took me a few tries to fit correctly -- but when I figured it out, I was amazed! There is a very small toggle to move the in-ear portion of each earbud to switch between Open Ear and ANC. These earbuds offer robust, clear, rich, and full bass sound. They are also great for phone calls - I made several and the person(s) on the other end couldn't tell I was using an earbud. Anker provides a 4-microphone setup for clear calls along with proprietary AI-enhancement. That worked really well. The ANC (active noise cancelling) is about equal to other similar (non-Apple) earbuds. Again, I love the fact that these fit over your ear so you don't have to worry about them falling out. The Anker App found these earbuds almost immediately and offers a lot of customization for sound settings. Overall, these are great, comfortable, rich-sounding, and clear mic earbuds. Definitely something to consider if you want great sound without the risk of earbuds falling out of your ears. Battery life is EXCELLENT - I have been using these for 5 days and they are still charged.

I’ve been using these earbuds for a few days now, and overall I’m really impressed. The first thing I noticed is how comfortable they are. These earhook-style earbuds wrap around the top and back of your ear, with the speaker unit positioned in front of the ear’s concha. This placement is crucial for how the earbuds transition between open-ear mode and ANC. The speaker can be clicked into different positions, moving it higher or lower along the ear. When clicked higher, it enables open-ear listening. The speaker driver sits just outside the ear canal. This is the mode for situational awareness. When clicked lower, it covers more of the ear and activates ANC. In ANC mode, I consider these half in the earbuds without any silicone inserts. Phone usage was clear on both ends and the microphones work well enough that the receiver can’t tell the difference between wearing one or wearing both buds. In open-ear mode, comfort is immediately noticeable: with no ear-canal contact, it eliminates the stuffiness, pressure, and itchiness common with traditional in-ear models. This is perfect for when you need to interact with your surroundings while listening to music, podcasts, or on the phone. In ANC mode, a simple adjustment of the ear hook gently seals the entrance to your ear canal, activating Active Noise Cancellation. This feature helps you focus. In noisy settings such as public transportation, airplanes, or busy coffee shops, switching to this mode greatly lessens ambient noise. The insertion is shallower than that of standard in-ear buds, reducing the intrusive sensation while still ensuring decent ANC performance. This mode also works without a tight seal but it is not as effective NC. In open-ear mode, the sound remains notably rich and clear and avoids the typical tinny, weak bass associated with open-ear audio. When switching to ANC mode, Adaptive EQ activates, tailoring the frequency response to the more sealed environment. In this setting, the bass is more prominent, with mids and highs staying clear and detailed. This doesn’t provide absolute noise canceling but compromises without being an overly invasive fully in your ear design. The "Adaptive" part of the ANC means it continuously adjusts to your environment, which works pretty well while moving between a quieter environment to a noisier one and then back to a less noisy area. There is no strong white noise, which is a plus Battery life is rated at 7 hours on the earbuds, with the case providing an additional 34 hours. The fast-charge feature is: just 10 minutes in the case yields 3.5 hours of playback. The Bluetooth 6.1 connection lives up to its reputation. The IP55 waterproof rating is a significant feature – “IP55 indicates a device is dust-protected and resistant to water jets from any direction, but it is not fully waterproof.”

There are definitely pros to these headphones, most significantly the ability to switch between a noise cancellation in ear mode and an active wear on-ear mode. However, like most headphones without in-ear tips, your experience is going to depend a lot on the shape of your ears. I think there is potential for someone for whom these fit great to really enjoy them, but I won’t make them a daily wear for me. Pros: - Active wear vs noise cancellation modes provides a different and in some ways improved experience over in-ear buds with noise cancellation and pass through. - The app has a “sound preference” test that allows you to go through a multi-phase sound calibration to tune the sound to your preferences (some people like more highs or mids, some prefer more low tones and bass). - The app allows you the option to choose whether to automatically enable ANC when switched to in-ear mode. Cons: - Loose fitting for me makes me nervous to wear them during any significant activity. - Loose fit makes the ANC ineffective. I find myself having to turn up volume to drown out people speaking even in a low volume indoors. - Overall sound isn’t impressive. Final thought is these are probably good for some people depending heavily on their fit. I’d recommend buying these as a personal set if you can test and exchange if the fit isn’t great. I wouldn’t suggest them as a gift. It’s not a strong buy overall for me.

I appreciate a clever design, and the AeroFit 2 Pro is genuinely clever. These must be the first earbuds that switch between open ear awareness and active noise cancellation by rotating the earbud on an adjustable hook. It’s certainly not something I’ve ever seen before! After a week with them, I’d say they pulled it off, but it might not be for me. The mechanism works. Five positions on the ear hook that clicks into the first couple for standard open ear fit, rotate further for a tighter in ear seal that enables ANC. It’s unique and I think it’s an interesting idea that. Unfortunately, I found it to be a little clunky to manage day to day. It never felt intuitive and I found myself just tweaking with it over and over. Comfort depends on mode. Open ear is great. It stays put during workouts, easy to forget you’re wearing them. ANC mode starts bothering me after about an hour. I’m sensitive in the ears and long wears didn’t feel great in this mode. The case is also too big for my pocket, which is a real miss for someone who likes keeping earbuds on them. The ANC itself is okay, not great. It handles lows but has a noticeable hiss and barely touches voices or keyboard clicks. Middle of the road. Sound quality is solid in both modes. I guess the strength is versatility. If you want one pair that does two jobs and don’t mind some small compromises, this is the only option that genuinely delivers both. Just know the ANC is fine, the fit might not be for everyone all day, and the case practically needs a handle.

## Design I've been a big fan of Soundcore's first generation of AeroFit Pro earbuds and actually still use them today for all my runs. They allow me to hear what's going on around me when I'm outside so I can pay attention to traffic near me. The Soundcore AeroFit 2 Pro expand on this open-ear feature by allowing you to block out the outside world when you want. Now, you probably wouldn't want to do this while you’re running outside, but this is handy if you're transitioning from an outside run to a noisy gym, or if you don't want to pack an extra pair of ANC headphones when you travel. The earbuds hook over your ears and then the part that goes into your ear canal is adjustable between 5 different positions. In positions 1 and 2 (furthest away from your ear) is considered open-ear mode and the ANC functionality is turned off. In position 4 and 5, the earbuds are closer to your ear canal and the ANC functionality automatically turns on (although, you can still turn ANC off by long pressing the button on either earbud). Position 3 is considered neutral and the mode does not change, so you have a bit of a buffer between modes. I appreciate the over-the-ear hooks as it allows you to wear the earbuds even when you're not listening to anything. I do this a lot for 5Ks when I don't want to carry the case for my earbuds, but I still want to hear all the pre-race announcements. The hooks allow the earbuds to stay on my ears and the open-ear design still allows me to hear everything. ## Performance Music sounds best in positions 4 and 5 with ANC on, which makes sense as these positions are closest to your ear canal and have the strongest bass. The music still sounds good in open-ear mode with ANC off, although you do lose a little bit of bass. There is a customizable EQ setting available in the Soundcore app that allows you to boost the bass if needed, and it does help in open-ear mode. The app also allows you to turn off ANC manually in positions 4 and 5 so you can still enjoy your music while opening your ears to the outside world a bit. ANC performance is good and does a decent job of blocking out low-level "hums" like the sound of my running Roomba vacuum, but it is less effective on higher-pitched sounds like talking or a baby screaming. The ANC performance isn't quite as good as what you would get with larger over-the-ear headphones, but this is expected. Also, there are no rubber tips on these earbuds, so they do not completely "seal" into your ears to block sounds. Still, they would be good for flights to help block some of the engine noise. ## Battery Life Soundcore states the AeroFit 2 earbuds can achieve up to 7 hours of playback in open-ear mode (5 hours with ANC on), and the charging case provides about 3 to 4 additional charges to the earbuds. ## Summary The Soundcore AeroFit 2 Pro earbuds give you the best of both worlds by offering both open-ear and ANC modes. The best sound quality is achieved in positions 4 and 5 with ANC on, and the ANC effectively blocks low-level hums but is less effective on higher-pitched sounds. The earbuds offer up to 7 hours of playback in open-ear mode, with the charging case providing additional charges.

Instead of completely sealing off your ears like traditional earbuds, the open-ear design lets you stay aware of your surroundings while still enjoying your music or calls. After spending some time with them, I found them especially well suited for outdoor activities where situational awareness is important. Comfort is the standout feature. The AeroFit 2 Pros sit securely around the ear without creating pressure inside the ear canal. Soundcore includes four different adjustment positions, which makes it easy to fine-tune the fit for different ear shapes. During runs and workouts, the battery section behind the ear does a surprisingly good job counterbalancing the speaker portion, helping the earbuds stay securely in place even during more vigorous movement. The material and build quality are well suited for exercise. After sweaty workouts, I found them easy to wipe down and clean, which is a small detail that becomes more important the more often you use them. The IP55 rating also provides some peace of mind for all the dust and sweat that come with outdoor workouts. Sound quality is very good for an open-ear design. You are not going to get the same level of bass as a fully sealed in-ear earbud, but music still sounds full and enjoyable right out of the box. Volume was also never an issue even with the open ear form factor. Despite the open-ear design, I had no trouble hearing my music clearly even during outdoor runs and workouts. The Soundcore app gives you access to EQ controls and sound presets if you want to tweak the sound further, though I found the default “soundcore Signature” tuning perfectly acceptable for everyday listening. There are other features in the app like firmware updates, touch control customizations so it is definitely handy to have on your smartphone. Battery life has been excellent as well. I never found myself worrying about running out of charge during workouts or throughout the day, and the charging case provides plenty of additional runtime between charges. The case's USB-C charging port is handy since it is so common across electronics today. Overall, the Soundcore AeroFit 2 Pro earbuds offer a great combination of comfort, stability, and everyday usability. The adjustable fit, secure over-ear design, solid battery life, and open-ear listening experience make them particularly well suited for running, workouts, and other outdoor activities where staying aware of your surroundings matters. If traditional earbuds tend to feel uncomfortable during long sessions, these are a solid alternative that still delivers surprisingly good sound quality.

The function of switching between the noise canceling and the open ear takes a bit to get use to but I’ve been thoroughly impressed. Their ia a bit of ear fatigue if they are worn for more than like an hour or two but that personally could just be due to ear shape.

Anker has released the new AeroFit 2 Pro. The AeroFit features an open ear design with active noise canceling. They also come with a charging case. The AeroFits fit well over the ear and don’t feel uncomfortable when wearing them for hours at a time. The bottom part of each earbud has a button integrated that is easy to find even though it is under the outer case of each. Button presses work the first time. I didn’t find myself having to try to press either multiple times before it registered the press. It registers the press each time. I’m also able to set that is done by the number of presses using the Soundcore app. The earbuds allow for the part over the ear’s angle to be adjusted. This is basically the only thing I found myself not liking. I like that you can adjust the angle, but in doing so, it will disable the active noise canceling if I adjust it too much. This is by design, but I found that a little annoying. The upside is that I can make the adjustment and turn off noise canceling without having to open the app or set a certain number of button presses to turn it on/off. I feel it would have been better for there to be the adjustment feature without it messing with a setting for the earbuds. The app allows me to set the EQ, ANC on/off, multi-point Bluetooth connections, etc. The app has worked well. As far as battery power, the earbuds use about 20% power per 1 hour of continuous use with Active Noise Canceling (ANC) turned on. To me, that could be better, but isn’t too bad. I also hear an audible notification for each earbud whenever one reaches 20% battery power left. The charge case has a good battery in it. I charged the earbuds from 60% to 100% two different times and the charge case’s batter level dropped from 100% to 70%. There is plenty of power in the charge case battery for me to recharge the earbuds for multiple days of use. The case has a USB-C charge port on it at the back of the case. The inside of the case holds the earbuds in place as expected, but due to the design of the earbuds, the case ends up being a little long. It still fits in my pocket, but I definitely notice it when it’s in my pocket. The audio quality is very good. I like that they don’t fit down into my ear canal. That helps with comfort over many hours of use. They are designed to stay in place when performing activities. I was able to jog without them moving around. I was also using them while riding an electric kick scooter. The active noise canceling doesn’t cut out 100% of external sounds, but it does work very well for open ear earbuds. I was impressed with Anker’s implementation of the ANC. I’m very happy with the AeroFit 2 Pro earbuds. I like what Anker has done with them. I would recommend considering these for anyone who needs open ear earbuds that will stay in place while performing activities.

I'd really give these 3.5 stars if I could. The appeal of these new Anker Soundcore AeroFit 2 Pro earbuds is their dual function in one package: an open-ear experience and an in-ear, active noise cancelation experience. Ultimately, this design could use a bit more work and doesn’t quite deliver the performance for which one might hope. However, depending on what you value most in your purchase, these could be a good solution for you. If you value the open-ear style and can accept less than perfect ANC, and perhaps less than amazing sound, these might be the perfect do-it-all for you. If you value the ANC most, then these may be less desirable. I am actually the target audience for this product; I wear open-ear earhook-style buds when I run and walk outside and I wear ANC enabled earbuds at work, on airplanes, when I’m on the treadmill, or when I’m playing drums and want to hear music in my ear to play along. Traveling is a key experience for me, because I want to be able to run in comfort at my destination (with open-air awareness) but I want ANC on the airplane. Most other times, I can just choose the right bud for the job from those I already have at home. So, if you don’t already have both choices, and you seriously need to switch seamlessly, read on. Design: Anker’s style here is really an earhook with an adjustable arm that can be made to cradle the top of your ear and project sound into the ear, allowing awareness of the world around you, or it can fit just into the ear. The earhook has fairly ingenious ratcheting system that allows the wearer to adjust the positioning of the bud for one style of wearing or the other. There are 5 different positions, which allow for a more personalized fit. Only in specific positions, however, will the ANC kick on. This is a smart design, because it makes more sense to waste battery on ANC when the buds are no in position to work in your ears. The bottom of the earhook behind the ear is enlarged to accommodate a battery pack. This makes the buds ultimately somewhat heavy. I don’t notice the bulbous-ness of the unit, and I can wear sunglasses along with these earhooks, but after a while the unit does become heavy and a bit uncomfortable. Execution: Sound: the sound quality is decent, but not amazing. That said, adjusting the settings in the app (of course there’s an app—I hate this but tried the app to do thorough testing) allow the user to dial in the style for their own taste. There are settings to boost the bass, but frankly I don’t enjoy heavy bass, and I prefer a mix that is more balanced and favors melody or vocals and more definition of the sound. I could accomplish this, but I’ll say that more of my listening was in the open-ear mode, and, well, this is much more a “good enough” style of listening to start with. That said, I could listen to different styles of music or to speaking voices (audiobooks, podcast) with clarity. I could also easily hear phone calls and use the buds for conversation. The ANC or in-ear earbud style is more hit or miss. Firstly, the “intelligent” ANC mode was terrible. It aims to adjust based on your surroundings, but it simply cut in and out inconsistently and made the listening experience difficult. Turning off this setting improved the ANC functioning considerably, but there is still substantial sound leakage. True in-ear buds are superior at this job, and if you want isolation you probably need over-ear headphones anyway. If your primary use for these would be ANC related, I would have to say it’s a less pleasing experience. Turning off intelligent ANC made using the buds on the treadmill acceptable, but still not great. With the intelligent setting on, these performed poorly when playing drums, but they worked a bit better with the intelligent setting off. Other factors: Battery life is ok. They might last most of a workday if you have them on all the time. I was down to about 20% power after four or five hours, part of that time with ANC on and part of that time with it off. This is not great, but it could be worse. I rarely use any buds for more than two hours, however, so for me they would likely be fine. They could get through a half marathon—probably a full marathon too—or a couple of short airplane flights. They power up quickly from the case and the case holds a good charge. Comfort: They can fit a variety of ears, though I think they are not ideal for my smaller ears. Larger ears might have better luck with the ANC and with getting a good fit. They are adjustable and better than some earbuds I’ve tried. They don’t come loose and stay tucked on your ears even in the open-ear mode, which seems less secure but for which I had no problems. That said, they start to hurt after a couple of hours, or sometimes less. They are heavy with the extra battery pack and kind of bulky. They would be aggravating to wear for an entire day and would probably be very aggravating to wear all day, everyday. Buttons: Both buds feature tactile buttons. These are superior to the touch buttons on my open-ear buds, which can be affected by sweat or rubbing from a bandana or headband and start messing with my volume or skipping songs. The buttons work easily and intuitively. Case: The case is large. In fact, it’s so large, that it’s as large as my open-ear buds and my ANC buds sitting together. So, in some ways, it’s not any easier, and perhaps actually more annoying, to carry this larger case than to carry the two smaller ones. But, it is a pleasant feeling case with good indicator lights. If you’re the right person for these, and you can get the right price, go for it. But I wouldn’t recommend them over a purchasing two separate earbuds if you most value ANC, perfect sound, or if you need very long battery life.

This product was not for me. The Noise-Cancelling was very weak and I know its a open style ear bud that you push in but no seal. I went a different direction with a Epic Sport ANC 3 Dual-Driver Sport True Wireless Earbuds. This worked better for me with the silicone earbud.
