This review is for the new Anker-Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro. To be clear, I own some very high-end earbuds. Some cost more than twice the cost of these earbuds, so when I had the opportunity to pick these up, I was very anxious to see if the claims and YouTube reviews I’ve seen are even close. Honestly, how can earbuds, which retail for under $200, compete with earbuds costing significantly more. Read on to see if they do. Soundcore, is a sub-brand of Anker Innovations headquartered in Shenzhen, China, officially established on April 25, 2018. The brand’s origins trace back to 2014, when Anker began selling Bluetooth speakers and headphones on Amazon. To be honest, I don’t think they were taken very seriously by the major players when they started. But they are now the king of the “Value of Diminishing Returns” today. In other words, you can spend far more money on earbuds, but that doesn’t necessarily translate to significantly better sound or features. To think this much technology and sound innovation is possible at this price range is nothing short of extraordinary. The earbuds come nicely packaged and include the charging case, earbuds, ear-tips in XXS, XS, S, M and L and warranty information. You also get three optional fins, to better anchor the earbuds in your ears. Stylistically, the earbuds themselves are stem design, with touch controls. They are IP55 Dust and Water resistant, but not waterproof. A short USB A to USB C cable is included, but come on Anker, it’s 2026. The cable should be USB C to USB C and like me, I suspect not many people use USB A charging. Fortunately, I have a drawer full of USB C cables and charging plugs. Out of the box, the ear-tips and installed fins fit my ears perfectly and provide a great seal. You should take the seal test in the Soundcore app to confirm (which I did), and it confirmed the seal was perfect. When I get new earbuds, the first I do is charge them. The Liberty 5 Pro can use either wired USB C to charge or Qi-Wireless charging. Then I downloaded the Soundcore app (scan the QR code provided), sign in and set up an account, then slide the charging case open and open Bluetooth Settings on your phone and tap them there to connect. You can connect these earbuds to three different devices, with two of them connected simultaneously to facilitate easy transition between devices. The charging case to be honest, is cool. There are two different versions of the Liberty 5 Pro earbuds. There’s the Liberty 5 Pro and Liberty 5 Pro Max. While the earbuds and sound are identical on both earbud options, the 5 Pro Max has a charging case with a full AMOLED touch screen on the top of the case, with more touch controls than the 5 Pro. But I didn’t need the extra features as the 5 Pro does everything I need for less money. The charging case of the 5 Pro does have a digital screen on the front of the case, which lets you see the battery levels and adjust several options such as sound settings/equalization, Bluetooth connections, etc., without having to open the app. You can even take a photo on your phone by tapping the photo capture button on the case. Having a built-in remote control for your phone’s camera, can be quite useful. The Soundcore app, is a geek-fest to be honest. There are loads of preset equalization options and you can even use an easy sound test for Classical, Pop or Rock by listening to a sample of music, choosing between two options for 7 different tests and then select that as your preferred EQ. There’s a Multi-Band Parametric Equalizer if you feel you need to customize sound more, but it took me a while to figure out the + option opens the EQ. It would be more intuitive if they just put a button with EQ on it to get there. There are also multiple curated sound effects in the HearID section in the App, plus AI Sound Enhancement, which uses Artificial Intelligence to transform low quality audio into something closer to high resolution sound. There’s also Dolby Atmos which is supposed to create a 3D listening experience (in content which is coded for Dolby Atmos), but to me was a bit more gimmick than what I expected. In terms of Codec, the earbuds support AAC and LDAC. AAC is for iPhone, and there are Android phones which support LDAC (if you could hear the difference, which I can’t). Not many earbuds offer the option to simply tell them what you want them to do. But the Liberty 5 Pro’s do. You can tell them to Start Playing, Pause Audio, Previous Track, Next Tract, Increase Volume, Decrease Volume, Answer Call, Reject Call, ANC Mode, Adaptive Mode and Transparent Mode. How cool is that? The earbuds touch controls work amazingly well. And you can program them in the app to be what you want them to be. In terms of Battery Life, with ANC on, you can get up to 6.5 hours on a single charge, or 12 hours of play without ANC. The charging case offers up to 28 hours if you use ANC and up to 50 hours if you don’t. And you can quick charge for 5 minutes, which will give you 4 hours of play. Bluetooth on the earbuds is 6.1 Standard which uses less power than previous Bluetooth Standards and there is no latency whatsoever, which is great if you watch videos. ANC is quite good. In comparison to my more expensive earbuds, it’s quite close and I’ve used these in some loud environments, and the environment disappears and the music takes center stage. I will say that ANC alters the sound a bit, but not in an objectionable way. It’s just tuned differently with ANC on. The standout feature of these earbuds is call-quality. Anker has introduced the world’s first AI Chip, they call THUS, powered by 8 sensors and the chip can process 384,000 signals per second, which blocks outside noise for total silence for the person you call. And it works better than anything I’ve used. People simply can’t hear the noise around you and are beyond surprised to learn you’re using earbuds. Even my considerably more expensive earbuds can’t compete. All this amazing technology and now it’s time to talk sound. The Liberty Pro series of earbuds employ a 9.2mm driver. That’s not as large as the drivers in my more expensive earbuds, but the sound is quite good. I’ve put these through loads of genres, from Classical, to Rock, Pop, Jazz, Heavy Vocals and they can handle pretty much anything you like. Of course, having multiple equalization options means you can make them sound the way you want. But even with no equalization, I found their sound well balanced, with a bit more emphasis on bass. Vocals are front and center and they can handle complex music, like full Symphonies. They did a remarkable job with Camille Saint Saens Organ Symphony. Here’s where the “Value of Diminishing Returns” comes in. Do they sound like my earbuds which cost more than twice as much? No. But they sound remarkable for the price of admission, and they can be worn for hours comfortably with technology, like call-quality which is simply unmatched at this price point. If you don’t own any other earbuds, you’ll think these are fantastic, because they honestly are. These are remarkable for so many reasons and to think they can do all the amazing things they can do for less than $200 is beyond remarkable. They sound great. They look great. They’re comfortable and they offer features more expensive earbuds don’t. Soundcore has upped their game and then some!

I’m really enjoying the Liberty 5 Pros so far. The design feels fresh and genuinely innovative. The case, in particular, stands out — the compact size and matte finish look great and resist smudges and fingerprints. Sliding the lid open and closed is surprisingly satisfying, and the touch display adds real utility with quick access to secondary controls. I especially like being able to see the battery levels for both the buds and the case at a glance. The earbuds themselves have a unique shape that makes them easy to grab and place in the ear. Even though I was always aware of them, they never felt uncomfortable, heavy, or fatiguing. They look sleek and don’t protrude much, which adds to the overall premium feel. With Bluetooth 6.1 onboard, they’re nicely future‑proof. Connectivity has been rock‑solid for me — no dropouts, even at longer distances. I also appreciate that they can connect to three devices at once (with the trade‑off of losing LDAC). Touch controls are responsive and intuitive, and I love that everything can be managed directly from the buds. The app adds even more flexibility with customizable control layouts. Call quality has been excellent. Whether indoors, outdoors, in noisy areas, or even in windy conditions, I consistently received positive feedback. ANC is one of the standout features. It’s among the best I’ve experienced in earbuds, easily competing with more expensive models. Ambient mode is also impressive — it sounds natural rather than artificially boosted. The adaptive and noise‑reduction modes were less consistent for me, as the shifting audio could be distracting, but ANC and ambient mode alone cover everything I need. Soundcore has always delivered strong audio performance in my experience, and the Liberty 5 Pros continue that trend. Out of the box, the bass is powerful yet controlled with deep sub‑bass. The mids have good presence and texture, and the treble adds clarity and sparkle. No matter the genre, the listening experience has been enjoyable. Dolby Audio is fun to try, but I prefer sticking with LDAC for the best quality. The app also offers extensive EQ options and personalized tuning through AI. The app adds even more value beyond audio tweaks. You can adjust controls, manage settings, and even use Anker’s personal assistant and voice features. If there’s one downside, it’s battery life. With ANC or ambient mode on and a few calls mixed in, I averaged under 5 hours per charge. It’s probably fine for most sessions, but definitely shorter than I’d prefer. Overall, the Liberty 5 Pros feel like top‑tier earbuds at a reasonable price. They’re absolutely worth trying out.

I've been using the Soundcore Liberty Pro 6 for around a week now. For what these cost I think they're competing with Sony and Bose at this point. These are amazing earbuds that deliver great sound and features at a price point that doesn't break the budget. The fit on these earbuds is excellent. You have several different tip sizes and wing tips to choose from. The wing tip will tuck slightly under part of your ear but aren't always needed. These fit my ears perfect and don't stick out annoyingly. They look like a little bean. No issue with wireless charging and usb charging is extremely fast. 5 Minutes of charging gives you 4 hours of playback. There is a screen on the front of the case that indicates case battery percentage, and a battery percentage for each earbud. Awesome so you don't have to go to an app or wonder if they're going to die waiting on the dreaded "battery low" notification. Bluetooth must have changed within the past year or so. My old earbuds sometimes disconnect from the phone for no reason at all. I'm starting I must have been out of the game too long because the Liberty Pro 5 literally connects as soon as you open the case. I couldn't believe it. Flawless. The sound quality on these is right up there with the Bose I normally use. They deliver clear vocals and good detail but are slightly more bass heavy than previous Soundcore models I've used. There is a built in customizable EQ that does a hearing test on you and then enters the sound profile that best fits what you are using them for. You can also Call quality is actually unbelievable. I did my usual lawnmower test while I was wearing these and my wife could hear me clear as day with the gas powered mower running. The call came thru crisp and easy to understand. They apparently use newly developed AI features to get this quality. My wife couldn't believe it, now she want the Liberty 5. ANC is right up there with my go-to Bose earbuds. There are several different settings obviously, and all can be accessed by programming the tap settings on the earbuds, on the app or on the outside of the case. The adaptive setting feels like it adjusts to the changing sounds around you. To be completely honest transparency mode doesn't feel quite as transparent and magnified as other earbuds. There is also a smart voice control you can turn on where you can go literally hands free and just tell the earbuds what you want done. Just say "Hey Anka, answer call" or "Hey Anka, transparent mode." and it confirms and does what you've told it. A few other features to note are Find my support, IP55 rating and bluetooth multipoint. I'm not going to lie, I've tried alot of earbuds in my life from budget to the Bose and Sony and everything in between. These are the best I've had in my ear and they've set the standard moving forward for all the other brands. I'm likely going to be getting another set of these for my wife, they're really that good.

This is an interesting one, and based on first impressions this is going to be a fun set of ear buds…that doesn’t seem right to say, but that’s exactly what I mean. These are fun! The simple compact box comes with everything you need….easy to open box with earbuds, case, attachments, charging cable, and instructions laid out on a step-by-step method to setup. I gotta admit I was in the “ooh aaah” stage while looking at the case. It’s super sleek, simple, and almost handsome. Immediately, my eyes are met with a screen, illuminated with options, and a touch menu that you can easily navigate by swiping your finger up/down or left/right. Still on first impressions, once I slide open the door of the buds, I felt the shape was really weird. By no means are these even close to traditionally shaped earbuds. After a quick download of the app, account creation, and firmware update, I was ready to get started with the buds. The setup process begins, but…wait a minute, these have ai integrated?? Sure does! Oooh, and the auto voice detection is pretty cool. While in either sound mode the earbuds detect when you’re speaking and changes the settings to allow voice pass through so you don’t miss the conversation. The sound settings are transparency, normal, adaptive, and noise cancellation. And they all work well. The volume settings are by touch, a simple swipe up or down of your finger will increase or decrease volume levels. But please be mindful, swipe slowly!! Unless you want to blow out your eardrums, please take heed to this. Ok, I put these buds to the test…a living room on family night, music going, games being played, and kids having fun, all while my wife tries to have logical convo with me. And I could hear it all along with my music simultaneously! The noise cancelling is amazing. It’s not “block out the world” silent, but I promise it provides auditory solitude no matter where you are. The feature I really love is the Easy Chat. The way it automatically lowers the volume of what you’re listening to and activates the passthrough, allowing your conversation to be heard clearly without taking you away from me your previous audio engagement. While this was a great test, I decided to take it a step further. I needed to test it outside while active. I’m a cyclist, and thoroughly enjoy quality audio while I’m on a ride. I popped these in my ear and took my bike along a local trail, and I have to say these earbuds really perform! Cruising at 24mph with music going, i can’t hear a single whisk of wind passing by my ears “while in normal ambient mode”. The fit, snug, comfortable, hell you won’t even realize you’re wearing them until you have to touch them. Now, I try to ride safe while on the road and usually I have a speaker playing music so I can be heard. But, with the earbuds in cars.l nor pedestrians can hear me, especially if I zoom up. So with the ambient setting to transparency, you’re able to hear all the activity around you whole still enjoying your music or audio source at a decent and very auditory level. The one downfall to this setting (only whole active I’d say) is the wind noise. It’s there, there’s no denying it at all. However, it’s not as bad as not having anything in your ears at all. And the clarity continues when you are on a call. I tested the buds with my wife while in the car, sunroof open, and windows down. She couldn’t hear a single thing…not an ambulance siren, not an 18-wheeler, not a loud dump truck, nor the wind blowing through the car. She couldn’t believe I was in the car, or on the earbuds. Now that absolutely impressed me. From my end, the sound was crystal clear. No static, no hallway sound or echoing, it was literally perfect! Oh, and the Dolby sound setting, that’s pretty cool. I like the option to have the Dolby sound “static” and all around, or based on head movement, giving you somewhat of a spatial auditory feeing. I like it. Battery life is pretty lovely I must say. They are rated for 6.5hrs of playtime without the ANC (active noise cancellation) on, and 28hrs with it off. So far, the battery has held up pretty well to the 6.5hrs with noise cancelling on, maybe even a bit longer. I have just one issue with the Liberty Pro, which I can probably overcome with time. BUT, initially these things are a pain to get out of the case. I tried pushing the lm to the side, trying to rotate them by pushing the side of the bud towards the center of the case so they’ll “roll” out of their magnetic connection, but after a few times of taking them out and placing them back in the case, I finally got the hang of it. Overall I give these a 4 out of 5. I highly recommend these for anyone active and wants discreet earbuds that won’t fall out. Or, if you just want to zone out and get away from the noise of the world, these are a great option!

I also have the Soundcore Liberty 4 version of these earbuds, and I like them for the ease of use and sound quality. The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro series takes that up a notch. Lot's to appreciate here not the least of which is the comfort and sound quality. I'll get to the sound and comfort in a minute, but one of the things I really love about these ear buds is the case itself. The cases that most other ear buds come with these days are very disappointing. They tend to have to be used in the vertical position, but they usually have rounded bottoms that don't stand up by themselves (which is a big fail). The Soundcore Liberty series understands that issue and corrects for by using a more horizontal approach. Combine that with the slide open lid and angled front panel display and you get a very well thought out and usable charging case. At a glance, the front panel will show you the charge level of not only the case itself, but the left and right bud charge level. It's really nice to be able to see how much charge I have when I want to use them. Other brands leave you hanging in this respect and make you use their app to find this information, which is probably something most people don't even bother with using. I like that there are lots of different size tips and fins to help fit them to a wide variety of ears. Fit is usually overlooked by a lot of brands but without a good seal, there's no chance of hearing good bass response and the Adaptive Noise Canceling features go right out the window. I always end up using the largest tips to get a tight seal. I didn't use either of the two fin sizes and chose instead to use the non-fin blank insert. For me, the fins didn't add anything in the way of stabilizing the fit. That's nothing against the Liberty 5 Pros, it's just about the shape of a persons' ears. The take away here is that pretty much anyone can get a comfortable fit with the options they include. If you're new to wearing earbuds, take the time to experiment with the different tips and fins. Good fit is everything when it comes to enjoying earbuds. The sound quality is quite good. Out of the box, I had too much bass for my liking and once I found the EQ in the included app I was able to boost the higher end and bring the bass sound down to clean and punchy. I was able to get good sound pressure levels out of them, and I enjoyed all the different genres I listened to. The fit was also good and I was able to wear them through my hour long workouts with no trouble. They stay in place nicely and are easy and straight forward to put in. I've used other brands that I ended up constantly needing to monkey around with in order to get the best fit, but the Soundcores are very easy to put in correctly the first time. The noise canceling feature works really well and you have your choice of selecting the Adaptive Noise Canceling, or manually selecting the level of noise cancellation that works best in your situation. There are also selections for “Normal” and “Transparancy” (which lowers the music volume when the buds sense you speaking to someone). These settings can be chosen in either the app or on the built in display on the case (which is actually a touchscreen). I don't normally get a lot of calls during my workouts but I did try out the call features. The most beneficial one being the call clarity. This is mostly due to the AI Thus chips in each earbud. The AI helps to separate your speaking from your local environments background noises. The AI is also responsible for the ANC and works well to allow you to clearly hear what your caller is saying. Also, through the app you can have the AI set up the way music will sound to you. The AI will play you two snippets of music from a genre you like, and have you select which sounds best to you. Then it modifies the sound and plays you two new choices, etc.. It does this seven times. At the end of this exercise, the sound you hear “should” be the best sound for you. Basically, this works “ok”. But at the end of each test (and I did it three different times), I always went back to the EQ sittings I had set up earlier. Which by the way, you can save lot's of different sound profiles if you like to customize the sound for different types of music or artists. The only caveat is that you need to log into the app to do this. At the end of the day, there are very few earbuds I've given a great review. I've reviewed quite a few from a wide variety of brands. The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pros are not the absolute best ear buds I've ever listened to, but they can sound really great if you take the time to set them up properly. You can achieve clear vocals and cymbals while also getting rich bass and punchy sound without any muddiness. Soundcore has obviously put a huge amount of effort into creating a set of earbuds that emphasize great sound, comfort and ease of use. And they do this for a price that's way below the price of all of their major competitors. I've always liked the Soundcore brand for this reason. The Liberty 5 Pros are also super easy to use and even though there's a lot going on behind the scenes (mostly thanks to the ANC and AI features), they make the user experience very simple and easy. And that to me is the sign of great technology.

At first impression, the new Liberty 5 Pro has remarkably good sound experience. It’s deep in base from the back of the song while the vocal can feel clear and sharp. In the box comes the charging cable, its manual and the Liberty 5 Pro earbuds in the charging case, and a set of different sizes of eartips. The novelty on hardware side of the case is the touchscreen enabled tiny screen on the front of the case. It allows basic functionalties and controls that make fully independent of the need to use the mobile phone or touch the Earbuds. The ear pod itself has a shape of beans and touch sensitive for controls like volume, play, and stop. Now, pairing it with phone is straightforward, upon sliding up the case cover, automatically enter in paring mode and immediately found by the phone’s Bluetooth. Once paired via Bluetooth, and having downloaded Soundcore app, several functionalities can be customized. These are in following categories: - Ambient Sound — Noise Cancellation; — Adaptive; — Normal; — Transparency. - HearID — Offers curated sound effects including SoundCore signature effect. — Sound Enhancements — AI Sound Enhancement — Dolby Audio - Controls — Offer customizable options to each earbud consisting of: — Single Press (Audio) — Double Press (Audio) — Triple Press (Audio) — Long Press (Audio) — Slide Up (Audio) — Slide Down (Audio) — Double Press (Call) — Long Press (Call) - Smart Voice Control — Activate Voice Control — Voice Command Language in Chineses, Japanese, English and Deutch And at the main screen top shows the level of battery for right/left/case . What I find it very well working: - The way to wear them. It fits secure and well sealed feeling for noice cancelling. Run 2 hours wearing them and it didn’t have to pay any attention about it despite of the sweat. - The sound is again remarkable and I find it the best of all in the product. In this category I include the option to use AI effect sound and Dolby Sound effect. - Noise Cancelling. In this mode, it makes immersive experience isolating of the external sound. - Tapping the earbud for control. It has a practical effect that every time touch the earbud for control, it has option to hear a tapping sound as it would the click with the mouse for desktop. - The control from the case. Among them the one I find very practical is the option to take photo remotely. This can be for case of taking self photograph or placing the phone at distance and from the case press the button. What I find not very well: - When enabling Voice Control, the AI Effect or Dolby Sound effect have to be disabled. These options are not compatible. Neither AI Effect and Dolby Sound can be both enabled, nor can tell when AI Effect is enabled the Dolby Sound is included. - The Adpative mode works inconsistently. This can be noticed while in the silence and making some gesture automatically pause or lower what I was listening. - The Voice Command works inconsistently as well. First the commands are limited and need to find a keyword. Can’t be a conversational interaction. For instance “Hey Anka, play my music from Apple Music”, it returns two ways, first that is not possible or that will play the curated sound effect included in the SoundCore application. Or in some cases doesn’t respond at all. - Then the feeling of having the case on hand feels quite slippery, and the cover of the case fragile. Although it is made to slide up, when it is fully opened feels it can be broken easily. As the cover function is critical to overall usage, kind of make uneasy to rely on it. For conclusion, as per the brand it has new chip optimized for AI function, but at the end the most impressive aspect is its sound excel at the price category. But as full package of using its all of functionality has long list of little things that I wish it work better.

Being a headphone and music enthusiast spanning 7 decades now and a member of the online Headfi Headphone Community for many years will hopefully give my real world thoughts on these Anker Liberty 5 Pro ANC/IEMs (Adaptive Noise Cancelling/In Ear Monitors) credence with all of you. To make things easier, I shall just call them the Liberty 5 Pro from now on. I am quite familiar with a Anker's offerings and have always found them to be durable, well built products and the Liberty 5 Pro keeps that tradition going! For those wondering how ANC does what it does, adaptive noise cancelling works by using microphones to pick up background noise and instantly generating an inverted sound wave (i.e., an "opposite" or 180° out-of-phase signal). When these two sound waves collide, they cancel each other out in a process called destructive interference and voila! No more background noise. Or close to it. I downloaded the app, performed the necessary updates to the Liberty 5 Pro and begin familiarizing myself with some of its features. Firstly, I am no big fan of IEMs but these were comfortable enough for me to wear and use the first day for just over 4 hours. The first tested feature was the ANC. The Liberty 5 Pro easily quieted a bathroom fan so next I went outside and gave it the Diesel Truck Test! I was very impressed and to be honest this is the first ANC equipped Headphone or Earbud to actually block the noise of my diesel truck when I am standing right next to while it is running! Well done, Anker! The key to this is the superb ANC coupled with the well fitting tips of these Earbuds. They permit up to approximately 80% or so noise reduction!! In a word: Outstanding! I then tried out the A.I. Translation. If all I wanted to translate from was Spanish to English, it would be good. Alas that no matter how I tried via A.I. "Anka" (the assistant!) or drop down menus or searching online help, I couldn't change the language from Spanish to anything else which is a pity because it claims to be able to translate "over 100 languages". I bet it can, but it won't let me do anything but Spanish to English and the little drop down arrow for selecting languages doesn't work either and "Anka" was of no help on this problem. I activated voice control/commands and "Anka" hears me but she cannot change anything nor give me any help to do so and voice commands to change the language being translated do not work with her at all. This is done in the Smart Voice Control section of the application. For the record, "Anka" did fine with helping me to play music. The case has an illuminated display that although small can be easily read and you can select things like ANC and Dolby from it but in all honesty I prefer to do so from the app on my iPhone as it is much more intuitive/easy! If you're not using "Anka", turn her off as it just eats battery. Aside from that, The Liberty 5 Pro are very good at reproducing music as that along with answering phone calls is what I primarily use my iPhone 16 Pro Max for. I don't watch TV, movies or YouTube on it. I have a big screen TV for that! There are four Ambient Sound modes available: Noise Cancellation - Adaptive - Normal & Transparency. My favorite when outside walking and it is windy, is...Noise Cancellation coupled with turning on Wind Noise Reduction. That works really well, trust me on this one! It will also remove the noise of a fan in a room. It's pretty good. The Liberty 5 Pro also has a Dolby Audio Head-Tracking feature. It did nothing for me. Next I tried the 4 "Curated Sound Effects" and found them to be subtle but nice. There are "Soundcore Signature", "Clear Vocals", "Powerful Bass" and "Calm and Soothing". Given the feature rich abilities that you may or may not wish to activate, the Liberty Pro 5 can last up to 12 hours without ANC. With ANC the battery may last up to 6 hours and with A.I. added, up to perhaps 4 or so hours. My testing delivered 13+ hours without ANC or A.I. on but I also listen at very low levels for situational awareness and to protect my hearing. These would be the ideal ANC Earbuds to use on airplanes. They removed the sound of my diesel truck so I have no doubts they will make air travel a quiet pleasure! If translating from Spanish to English is a top priority then I can say these are highly recommended. But, my reality was frustrating when trying to change the language being translated to anything else. So then I give these a very recommended rating and 4 out of 5 Stars. Either my pair and/or the downloaded application were faulty or I am just not being nice enough to "Anka" as she couldn't help me on this. No harm I am certain I will find the answer soon and that does not stop me from saying the Anker Liberty 5 Pro are more than worthy of owning and using!

I am truly impressed with the build quality of these headphones but even more so the sound quality. I really was looking any earbud style headphone for listening to music and talking on the phone. Item arrived and I quickly realized these were more than basic headphones. Pulling them out of the box, the unit just screamed quality and tech. The feel of the case is solid and the digital touch screen display while small, is very intuitive. The earbuds lay in the case nicely but I did have an issue figuring out which way they were to be put in the case to charge them but after a little back and forth I figured it out and haven’t forgotten since. The sound quality on these earbuds, two words, A Mazing. The music is unbelievably crisp coming through this set. There are settings to set your preference where your equalizer is optimized depending on your use. I tend to enjoy bass and the bass setting is excellent, delivering just the right amount of everything creating an unreal sound that exceeds expectations. As for conversations, I have had a few now and can safely say the only complaint I have received from the people on the other line was they weren’t sure if I was locked in a room because they couldn’t heat any background noise from my end. My conversations were clear both ways and once again, these ear buds exceeded expectations. The charge gave me a number of hours of music listening and phone conversations and I was very satisfied. My only issue with these headphones was upon first use, it prompted me to update them. For whatever reason, the update would not perform. But when I tried again the next morning, update ran and was completed so I’m really not sure what happened there. Regardless, these earbuds are just all around amazing and I highly recommend them to anyone in the market.

I have tried quite a few wireless earbuds over the years, and the Soudcore Liberty 5 Pro earbuds have quickly become one of my favories. Right out of the box, I found them to be very comfortable. I can wear them for extended peiods without my ears getting sore, whihc has not been the case with some other earbuds I have owned. One feature that really stands out is the Soudcore app. It is probably one of the best companion apps I've ise for any electronic device in a while. There are so many options available to customize the earbuds to your liking. You can adjust the sound settings, noise cancellation levels, touch contols, and a variety of other features. It gives you much more control than I expected. I love being able to see the battery life of both earbuds and the charging case on the case and in the app. It takes the guess work out of knowing when it is time to recharge. It's very convenient. Another feature that is cool is the voice control. It's handy to say "Hey Anka", "Call Mom" or "What's the weather" and have the earbuds responds without having to reach for my phone. The voice command works well and makes everyday tasks easier, especially when walking the dig or busy doing something else. Be aware, you do get a notice that this will significantely increase battery consumption. Sound quality is excellent, and the noise cancellation does a great job of blocking out distractions when I want to focus on music, podcasts, or phone calls. Overall these earbuds have exceeded my expectations. Between comfort, impressive app, and great sound quality, I would definitely recommend them to any looking for a high quality oaid of wireless earbuds for under $200.

I cannot rave enough about the soundcore liberty 5 pro true wireless earbuds. From the design, which is original and functional, to the incredible (and I mean incredible) call quality they offer. Right out of the box, I really liked the simple, yet unique way the device opens, which is a slide rather than a life that almost all wireless earbuds have these days. The earbuds themselves also have a .96 in TFT touchscreen build into the case itself! While not the only device to offer this feature, I found this solution to be easy to use and very functional. You can change sounds modes, perform ANC adjustments, and check out how much battery is left all from this touchscreen. You also get different size tips which one would expect since everyone’s ear is different. For battery life, I found the 6.5 hours with ANC on to be pretty accurate. They also state this increase to 28 with the case, which recharges the buds. Overall, this is one of the best, if not the best, earbuds for overall sound quality and productivity. With the use of technology (10-sensor matrix, 8 MEMS microphones and 2 bone conduction sensors), you get class leading ANC that produces excellent sound on both ends of the call. I have not had one person complain about my background noise even when out and about running errands in a loud environment. Whether you are taking a casual personal call, or presenting in a work meeting, you will have next to zero issues with call quality.

The Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro are a great set of earbuds that deliver noise canceling as good or better than the big names. The most unique feature is the touch screen case that I thought would be gimmicky but is actually very useful. It allows you to see the charge of each bud and the case, it also allows you to use almost all of the features of the earbuds instead of opening the app. So if you want noise canceling on but your phone is across the room, you can change it from the case along with other features. No matter what genre of music you’re into, the Liberty 5 Pro deliver excellent audio quality. If you like deep bass they’ve got it and it sounds good not hollow or boomy. In addition to being able to customize that sound, they have what Soundcore calls HearID 5.0,. When using it, you choose between A OR B over the course of seven different tracks to determine your perfect sound. I found going this way deliverd the sound I liked best. All of this is done through the app along with other customization and the app experience is excellent. The Liberty 5 Pro have multi device support and will seamlessly switch between devices, though sometimes when switching from my iPad to a video on my iPhone it would start playing audio from the video but then switch to music. This was one of the issues I had with these along with sometimes having a crackling sound when stopping audio from videos or switching to a different video. This is something that should easily be fixed with a software update which brings me to my other issue. Trying to update the earbuds with the app, I tried numerous times but the current update fails after starting to update. All of these things can be fixed with an update which hopefully Soundcore is working on. All of this aside, the Liberty 5 Pro deliver excellent sound, battery life that is truly all day for both the case and earbuds and noise canceling and features that can go toe to toe with the best.

The liberty 5 Pro earbuds are a solid pair of earbuds with plenty of features. The Liberty 5 pro earbuds are both designed well and very innovative. One of my favorite things about these is the small LCD touch screen on the front of the case. The touchscreen lets you pair bluetooth devices, select your sound mode, check your battery level, and you can even use it as a camera remote for your phone. Having these options right on the front of the case is very convenient, especially when you want to switch between noise canceling and transparency modes, as well as custom sound modes. It’s also nice to see the battery levels displayed of both the earbuds and the charging case. The earbuds are designed to be both comfortable and secure. They offer 3 different ear tip sizes as well as 3 different wing tip sizes. The wing tips give your earbuds more stability and provide extra comfort. When I first tried them on, the right earbud kept falling out, after I changed the size of the tips, they stayed in place. The earbuds are very comfortable especially when wearing for long periods of time. Each earbud has touch controls on them that are very responsive. Swiping up/down for volume, tapping for play/pause etc. The touch controls can be customized in the Soundcore app, you can also set customized EQ’s or create your own EQ. The Liberty 5 pro’s have exceptional sound quality. They’re optimized for Dolby Atmos, they have noise cancelling, adaptive and transparency modes. The buds deliver crystal clear audio that sounds amazing and they have very smooth bass. They have a wide range between highs, mids and lows which makes it easy to enjoy any type of music. The noise canceling works much better than many earbuds I’ve tried in the past. Although they’re not completely soundproof, they do a great job at eliminating most noise. The transparency mode on the other hand, could use some improvement. I had a hard time hearing outside voices clearly, and that was with nothing playing. Overall, the Liberty 5 Pro are a solid pair of earbuds. Having a LCD touchscreen on the charging case is very convenient. The sound quality of the earbuds is fantastic, as well as being very comfortable to wear. I would definitely recommend these to anyone looking for a new pair of earbuds.

PRODUCT REVIEWED Anker - Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro Model: D1203Z11 QUICK IMPRESSION WOW – Prepare to be amazed REVIEW I usually don’t gush over headsets and earbuds, I can always find room for improvement, and I am very picky. My premium buds from another maker (rhymes with rose), sounded great, (while they lasted about 13 months), but my old buds had horrible battery life, rarely making it through a single movie on a plane. The Anker – Soundcore Liberty 5 Pro, leaves my prior buds in the dust. SETUP The buds are very easy to set up and the OLED touchscreen readout on the battery / case makes it clear what is going on at all time, as well as allowing you to control basic settings from the case. PERFORMANCE • Noise Cancellation – Like being in a soundproof chamber • Music Audio Quality – 10/10 • Microphone and Conference Calls – 10/10 • Comfort – 10/10 • Stays in your ears 10/10 • Battery Life – Is excellent at about 6 hours MY USE I use my buds when walking the dogs (1 hour 2 X per day). I will use them when traveling (flying) on long trips. I have also used them when traveling for occasionally conference and phone calls. So far they have worked perfectly. RECOMMENDATION I recommend these for all users who prefer earbuds. I would put them up against all name brands that I’ve reviewed over the years (maybe 10 or so)

These headphones have the best noise-cancelling capabilities of any headphones I’ve tried. They completely remove all background noise so I am able to make professional calls in noisy places like airports, restaurants, and on the go. The person on the other end of the call hears zero noise other than my voice. Highly recommend!

I have to say I’m quite happy with these ear buds. I’ve been in the market for a decent pair since my last ones went out. Sadly many of my ear buds don’t seem to last longer than a year and a half, but I’ve at least had my experience with them to know what I like. This case and touchscreen are unique and attractive. Setup is straight forward with the touchscreen, but I do recommend getting the app to get the firmware updates and get access to more granular controls and customization. No account needed to use the app (bonus). I’ve been using the Earbuds for the past few days on and off throughout the day. I am physically active and like to use them at the gym, on walks, and runs, I also like to listen to videos and audiobooks from my phone as needed or just have a hands-free phone conversation on the fly. They fit well in my ear, and barely fall out. I’ve tried 2 different size “cushions” and both work fairly well, and there is even a “Fit Test” in the app that will let you know if the size is properly sealing the sound. They’ve only come loose once during a run and one bud fell out during an intense workout, which is pretty good in my experience. So 5 stars for active performance and stability! The touch screen works well and is responsive and does provide you direct access to most of the options you’ll need. One of my pet peeves with earbuds is how sensitive the touch surface of the buds can be, so when adjusting or fixing one you can accidentally trigger something. I haven’t had that issue with these. I can adjust the earbuds just fine without accidentally setting off a random command like skip, mute, or pause. In the app you can also customize what you want the controls to be, or just disable them in general! I was so happy to see that. Instead of trying to memorize what the default settings are, you have many options to pick what you want each earbud to do based on taps or swipes…5 stars for this! The next bonus is that you can connect to 3 devices at once! I would have been happy with just 2 devices, but 3 is amazing! Obviously my phone is my primary device, but at home I might want to watch Youtube on my tablet or when I go on runs, connect to my smartwatch…no extra pairing! You can disable and enable connected devices from the app with basic toggles (no forgetting required). The sound profiles I use are ANC and Transparency, and they both work pretty well. ANC does use about double the battery life, so using it full time gets you about 6 hours of usage on one full case charge. I have used a mix of both profiles the past few days and my case battery life has only used about 30% battery, so pretty impressive. There is also a camera snap option from the touchscreen of the case that will take a picture from your mobile device that works straightforward, without any additional setup. Overall these have been the most impressive earbuds I’ve ever used. The app isn’t overly complex with nonsense settings I’ll never use. It has a simple layout with features I’ll actually use. They fit well and sound pretty good, and have seamless connection to 3 devices at once. Anker has been a solid brand in my experience, and look forward to a long use with these (fingers crossed). 5 stars overall!
