Customer Ratings & Reviews

I just picked up the Apple AirPods Max 2 from Best Buy, and I’m blown away—these are hands-down the best over-ear headphones I’ve ever owned. The audio is crystal clear with deep, rich bass and crisp highs, making every instrument and vocal stand out whether I’m listening to music, podcasts, or watching movies. The active noise cancellation is next-level, completely blocking out background noise on my commute and at work so I can focus or relax. Despite their premium, solid build, they’re surprisingly comfortable for long listening sessions thanks to the mesh headband and plush ear cushions. Transparency mode is fantastic for quick conversations without removing the headphones, the seamless switching between my iPhone, iPad, and MacBook is effortless, and the battery life easily lasts me days of regular use. Purchasing from Best Buy was smooth and fast, with the product arriving in perfect condition and pristine packaging. If you’re looking for top-tier wireless headphones with amazing sound, comfort, and Apple ecosystem integration, the AirPods Max 2 are absolutely worth it and highly recommended.

I've been using Apple’s newest headphones for a few weeks now, and I have to say, they truly redefine what premium audio products can offer. Sound Quality: The sound is nothing short of spectacular. The bass is deep and rich without overwhelming the mids and highs, which are incredibly clear and crisp. Whether you’re listening to your favorite playlist, watching movies, or enjoying a podcast, the sound experience is immersive and balanced. The spatial audio feature takes things to the next level, making you feel like the sound is coming from all around you, perfect for watching movies or gaming. Noise Cancellation: Apple has seriously upped their noise-canceling game. It’s like flipping a switch between the world around you and your own personal soundscape. Even in noisy environments, like the subway or a bustling coffee shop, I found that the noise cancellation was incredibly effective without any discomfort or pressure that you sometimes get with other brands. Comfort: The design is sleek and the ear cups feel like they were made for long-term wear. The padding is soft, and the overall fit is snug without being too tight, so you can wear them for hours without any discomfort. The lightweight design also means I barely feel them on my head, making them perfect for extended listening sessions. Battery Life: Apple's claim of an all-day battery life is spot on. I’ve gotten through long flights, entire workdays, and several podcast marathons without needing to charge them. Plus, they charge fast. A quick 15-minute charge gives you hours of playback, which is perfect when you're on the go. Design and Build: These headphones not only sound amazing, but they also look stunning. The finish is smooth and high-quality, and the folding mechanism is sleek and sturdy. It’s clear Apple put a lot of thought into both aesthetics and durability. Smart Features: The integration with Siri and Apple’s ecosystem is seamless. I love being able to control everything from music to calls with a simple tap or voice command. The head-tracking with spatial audio is a fun and functional addition, and it really does make a difference when you’re watching movies or shows in Apple TV+. Overall, these headphones are a massive win for Apple. Whether you're an audiophile or just someone who enjoys top-tier audio, these headphones deliver an exceptional listening experience in every way. If you're already in the Apple ecosystem, these will feel like a natural extension of your devices, and if you’re new to Apple, you’ll be hooked after the first listen. Rating: 5/5 – Truly a premium experience!

I’ve been using my Apple AirPods Max (USB-C) - Starlight for a few weeks now, and I’m honestly very impressed. The sound quality is amazing—super clear with deep bass but still very balanced. I love how immersive they feel, especially when listening to music or watching movies. The noise cancellation works incredibly well. It blocks out almost everything, which is perfect when I need to focus or just relax. Transparency mode is also very natural, so I can still hear my surroundings when needed. They’re very comfortable, even after wearing them for long periods, and the design looks really elegant. The Starlight color is beautiful and goes with everything. The only downside might be the price, but in my opinion, the quality and experience make it worth it. Overall, I’m really happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend them.

The AirPods Max are easily worth five stars. From the moment I put them on, I could feel the premium build quality — the stainless steel frame is solid but not heavy, the memory foam ear cups are insanely comfortable, and the knit headband makes long listening sessions easy. The sound is incredible, with crystal-clear highs, natural mids, and deep, controlled bass, and the spatial audio with dynamic head tracking makes music and movies feel totally immersive. The active noise cancellation is top-notch, blocking out everything around me, the transparency mode works perfectly when i need to hear my surroundings. They pair instantly with all of my Apple devices and they switch seamlessly between them with no problems, as-well as the integration of Siri making controlling music and calls effortless. The battery life is impressive too, with 20 hours of listening and fast charging giving over an hour of use in just five minutes which gets me through my day. Overall, they’re not just headphones — they’re an experience, combining comfort, performance, and Apple’s ecosystem perfectly, and honestly, I can’t recommend them enough to anyone.

I’ve been using Apple AirPods for a while now and overall I’m very satisfied with them. The connection to Apple devices is seamless, and they pair instantly without any hassle. The sound quality is clear with solid bass for their size, and they perform well for both music and phone calls. Call quality is especially reliable, even in moderately noisy environments. They’re very lightweight and comfortable for long periods of use, and the charging case makes them easy to carry and keeps them charged throughout the day. Battery life is decent, though heavy users may find themselves charging them more frequently. The only downside is that they can be a bit pricey compared to other wireless earbuds on the market. Overall, they’re a convenient and reliable option, especially if you’re already in the Apple ecosystem.

I’ve had a great experience with Apple’s wireless headphones. The sound quality is crisp and well-balanced, with clear highs and solid bass that make music, podcasts, and calls enjoyable. The seamless connectivity with my Apple devices is one of the best features—pairing is instant, switching between devices is effortless, and the connection remains stable. The design is comfortable and lightweight, even during extended use, and the battery life easily gets me through the day. I also appreciate the intuitive controls and reliable noise cancellation, which helps me stay focused whether I’m working, commuting, or relaxing. Overall, Apple wireless headphones deliver excellent performance, convenience, and quality. They’re a worthwhile investment for anyone already in the Apple ecosystem or looking for dependable, high-quality wireless audio.

The new AirPods Max in Silver feel like a solid upgrade, especially with the switch to USB-C. Being able to charge my iPhone, iPad, and AirPods Max with a single cable is genuinely convenient and reduces everyday clutter. Sound quality is where these headphones really shine. The audio is rich, clear, and well-balanced, making them great for music, movies, and long listening sessions. The build quality also stands out — the metal exterior feels sturdy and premium, giving the headphones a very luxurious look and feel. Battery life is reliable and easily lasts through extended use without frequent charging. That said, they are noticeably heavier than most other headphones, which can become uncomfortable during long sessions. Another downside is the carrying case design — having to keep the headphones in the cover just to put them into sleep mode feels unnecessary and a bit inconvenient. Value for Money: 8/10 Overall, the AirPods Max offer excellent sound and premium design, with a few practical drawbacks that keep them from being perfect.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent purchase! I'm delighted with these headphones. The sound is clear, powerful and well balanced, with very good bass without distortion. They are super comfortable, even after wearing them for several hours, and fit perfectly. The battery lasts a long time, they connect quickly and the audio quality for calls is also excellent. In addition, the design is modern and elegant. Without a doubt, they exceeded my expectations. I recommend them 100% for music, calls and daily use. They are totally worth it!

Use them everyday, amazing , battery life is gooddd last me 2 almost 3 days. Sound quality is good but I also tweaked it in the settings. Very easy to connect to devices I never struggled at all. Comes with a case and with a charger also. They are comfy for my ears . Over all I love them and worth the money !!!

I bought the AirPods Max and couldn’t be happier with both the product and the overall experience. The sound quality is incredible — clear, immersive, and balanced across every genre. Noise cancellation is genuinely next level, and transparency mode feels natural rather than artificial. They’re also extremely comfortable; I work from home and am in constant meetings and I’ve worn them for hours at a time with no discomfort, which is rare for over-ear headphones (especially doubled with eyeglasses!). What really stood out to me was the peace of mind that came with buying these from Best Buy. With how flooded the market is with fake or questionable AirPods Max, it was reassuring to purchase from a retailer I trust and know is selling authentic products. Everything was sealed, registered properly, and exactly as expected. The buying experience itself was smooth and effortless. Shipping and delivery was fast, everything was ready on time, and there were no issues or surprises. I also appreciated having the option to add AppleCare, which made an already premium purchase feel even more secure. On top of that, Best Buy’s frequent sales on this product make it even more tempting. Between the quality, reliability, and pricing opportunities, I’ve genuinely considered picking up a second pair. I’ve already recommended these to friends and would absolutely buy from Best Buy again for high-end tech. This purchase delivered on every level!

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 10/10 The Apple AirPods are excellent! They do feel slightly heavy at times, but it really depends on how you’re using them. I personally use them at the gym, and they’re very comfortable with no issues. While lying down and using the Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), they can feel a bit heavier on the ears, but the ANC is outstanding and the sound quality is just as impressive! Battery life is amazing as well compared to my skull candy ones!

I tried many of the headphones within the price range of the AirPods Max before purchasing them. The first time I put a pair on my head the sound quality was simply astounding. I listen to a variety of music, but first I'm a Rock & Roll boy. I listened to all my favorite bands from the 60s & 70s, when I was growing up in the SF Bay Area. The AirPods rocked! I also like classical music, so I listened to some of my favorites and the experience was impressive. I used to go to Broadway Musicals when they came through Portland. One of my favorites is Phantom of the Opera. Listening to the Phantom with the AirPods Max was almost like being in the theater. Another thing that has impressed me about these headphones is the build quality. I purchased my first pair just over two years ago and nothing has broken on them. How can anything not break? Apple used a lot of metal when designing the Max, so the quality is far above any of the headphones I tried. I have medium to large ears and nothing I had tried really felt comfortable, especially after a few hours of wear. I only like over the ears, as opposed to on the ear. The AirPods Max fit over my ears completely, and I wear them comfortably for hours. I use nothing but Apple products. I have an iPhone, Air Pad, MacBook Pro, and Apple TV. The AirPods works seamlessly with them all. The new USB-C AirPods Max headphones was a disappointment for a lot of fans because of the lack of upgrades Apple could have done but didn't. Apple kept the H1 chip in them when I had expected at least an upgrade to H2, and possibly a new H3. Why? Who knows. The other disappointment is many fans were expecting a water resistance upgrade. Why Apple decided to keep these basically the same is up for debate. Apple did change the charging port to USB-C from the old Lightning port. It's a nice change for those tired of having to interchange cords. Apple finally changed to the new USB-C because they were basically forced to by some European government/federation. The new colors is a nice upgrade. I opted for the Midnight color and they look really cool. The old gray option was just that - old. I use these to watch TV and the sound is amazing. I have premium headphones designed specifically for TV/movie watching, and the AirPods Max sound so much better. If you're looking for a premium pair of headphones, I encourage you to take a serious look at the AirPods Max.

I’ve never owned a nice pair of headphones before. The AirPods 4 were the nicest and I didn’t even use the ANC in them. Now I can’t even use anything but these. If I’m shopping, the ANC drowns out the world and away goes any anxiety with it. Meditation takes me to a galaxy lightyears away. The battery life is outstanding in these. I charge them like, every 2 or so weeks and I get a LOT of use from them. They are a touch on the heavier side, but the benefits far outweigh that slight inconvenience.

This is my honest review after paying for them with my own money. I purchased when they went on sale and do not regret the decision. Best Buy offered the best price for these at around $100 off. The original msrp is just a bit too high but at the discounted price point it feels right for the quality you’re getting. The sound quality is fantastic, especially when integrated into the Apple ecosystem’s lossless audio. The battery life of ~20 hours has never been an issue for me since just five minutes of charging or so can get you 1-2 hours of listening. They are built very sturdy and feel extremely premium. They fit quite comfortably on my head, I’ve always had a big head/ears so I was relieved that these did not give me any issue. My partner who has overall smaller head and ears thinks they are the most comfortable pair of headphones ever and now wants a pair too after trying them. I live in a tropical climate and have not had any issues with sweating after hours of continued use in 73 degree air conditioning at home. Some people have complained about the smell of the ear pads, but in my opinion this is mainly coming from a chemical in the material used. Out of the box, you will notice a chemical smell on the pads which is normal, but after sweating the scent of the chemicals can mix with it which is what people are encountering. However, they are removable and washable with detergent and water. This should remove the odor and keep them clean - Apple has guidelines on their website as to how to do this safely. Would definitely recommend grabbing them if on sale as long as you understand that they require a bit of effort here and there to maintain clean and in tip top shape.

These AirPods Max are the real deal. They deliver top-tier sound with noise cancellation that feels like stepping into another world. I’ve tried a lot of headphones, and nothing comes close to how clean, powerful, and immersive these feel. A lot of people say they’re heavy honestly, you barely feel them. The weight disappears the second you put them on. Comfort is on point for long sessions, whether I’m working, traveling, or at the gym. One of my favorite features is actually the lack of a power button. They go into low-power mode automatically, and because they never fully turn off, I can always track them through my phone. If they ever get misplaced or someone tries to walk off with them, I’ll know. That alone gives me huge peace of mind. The magnetic ear cushions are a major win. Easy to clean, easy to swap. For the gym, I added rubber sweat-proof covers and that solved the moisture issue completely. I also have AppleCare on mine, so if anything ever goes wrong, I’m covered. Between the build quality and the support, these feel like a long-term investment. Even the case grew on me. I didn’t love it at first, but now I appreciate it because it protects the headphones perfectly and keeps them looking brand-new. Battery life is another strong point. These last forever—easily through multiple workouts, commutes, and daily use without worrying about charging. Overall, these are the best all-around headphones I’ve ever owned. Worth every dollar.

These headphones exceeded my expectations. The sound quality is clear with deep bass, and they’re very comfortable even after wearing them for hours. The battery life lasts a long time, and they connect quickly without issues. Great quality for the price — I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for reliable, everyday headphones.

These headphones are comfortable (for the most part), produce great quality noise, have long-lasting batteries, great noise cancellation, are adjustable and sturdy. The reason I say they are comfortable "for the most part" is because they are rather heavy. I cannot wear them for prolonged periods of time, maybe 2 hours maximum. Also, I love that they don't bother my ears. I have 7 ear piercings (including my cartilage) and these are big enough to wrap around my ear without feeling any discomfort and generally have a comfortable fit around my ears. Additionally, I love the wide variety of colors that they come in. The device is also easy to use with a button for pausing/playing, adjusting the volume, and changing the noise cancellation setting. Comes with a case and charger. I took off a star for the heaviness and cost of the item. I'm sure you can find comparable headphones for a lower price.

I held off on buying the AirPods Max for a long time because of the price, but after using them for a few weeks… I finally get the hype. These things feel like someone engineered silence and comfort into a piece of art. The sound is insanely clean. It’s not just “good headphones” quality—everything feels layered, like the music suddenly has depth I wasn’t hearing before. The spatial audio effect makes certain songs feel almost live, which is wild the first time you experience it. The noise cancellation is honestly the best part for me. It’s not a “muffle,” it’s a disappear. My apartment suddenly feels quieter, flights are 10x more peaceful, and even busy coffee shops feel manageable. The transparency mode is freakishly natural too—switching between the two feels like shifting reality. Comfort-wise, they’re way better than I expected. The knit headband and the cushions make long listening sessions easy, and they don’t clamp your head like some other high-end options do. Battery life holds up great, the controls are simple, and the build quality feels premium in a way that’s actually noticeable. They’re definitely an investment, but if you care about sound, comfort, or just blocking out the world… they’re worth every penny.

I gifted this to my husband and he said he likes the connectivity and the noise cancellation. I was worried getting the starlight color if it will look to beige cause silver is not available anywhere anymore. But, the color looks really great in person a it was a lot lighter in person so it gave that silver look.

I really wanted to love these. The sound quality is truly amazing, the best I’ve ever experienced from any kind of in-ear or over-ear. I read a lot of reviews before deciding to try them and kind of ignored that many people mentioned the weight. The weight is definitely a factor for me. The catalyst for even considering AirPods this expensive is because my ears push my AirPod pros out. I had found some things that were working OK to help keep them in my ears, but those were kind of a pain given that I still wasn’t getting the sound experience I should be getting from AirPod Pro. I kept these AirPods Max for a couple of weeks and made a point of very carefully using them as much as possible to try and evaluate if they are right for me. The big thought I was having when I decided to make the purchase is we travel overseas at least once a year and I really wanted to have long battery life, really good sound, and total noise cancellation while on international flights. What I discovered is the weight of them makes my neck a little tired after a while and if I take them off, it is really not comfortable to wear them around my neck. Things I didn’t realize were important until after I had them: I often use one AirPod. It allows me to remain focused on what’s going on in the room but still enjoy a little music or have Siri talk to me in my ear rather than announce to the whole room what’s going on with my phone. I set a lot of reminders and alarms to keep me on task and on track and on time. So as I actually tried to find how and when I would use these, what I discovered is I wouldn’t use them very often, and the times when it’s really appropriate for me to use them, they aren’t very comfortable. Two big design flaws: the ear cups bang together if you’re not wearing them and they are not in the little case. That will eventually dent and scratch the corners. I found some silicone covers for about $20 on Amazon that worked great to protect them, but it irritated me that after spending that much money, I needed to buy something else just to keep them in good condition. Also, there is no way to turn them off without putting them in the magnetic case. So if you just take them off your ears and put them around your neck the battery continues to run down. Apple has a lot of work to do here. In my humble opinion, there’s a very small audience of people who would actually love these. To me, definitely not worth the money.
