First, this iPad is a huge upgrade from my old iPad Pro, even though it is not the latest model. The spec is great, and it functions beautifully for my need case. The iPad itself is in great condition with almost no marks or indications it had been used previously. There are no functional deficiencies. My reservations are as follows: (1) I remain a little concerned that, as a Geek Squad refurbished item, it only has a 90 day Geek Squad warranty. This was an expensive iPad, even if not as costly as a new one. You cannot add Applecare to a refurbished unit, unless you buy it direct from Apple. It remains to be seen if that becomes important, but know it in advance, if you are considering refurbished. (2) It was incredibly poorly packaged for shipment by whatever store shipped it. It was in an ill-fitting box that was dropped into another box with almost no padding. It came with an Apple power supply, but the power cord was a generic Best Buy cord, not an Apple power cord, and it was also loose in the box. It was surprising that the product arrived without being damaged, but all seems okay. The next time I purchase, I am not sure I would consider the Geek Squad refurbished product, unless the item is fairly inexpensive. The short warranty, generic accessory and poor packing were somewhat frustrating. In the end, though, I think iPad itself is great and I have had no problems with it. My recommendation is for the iPad, itself.
