I use the primarily for editing photos of Division I college sporting events. The retina screen is fantastic. The Iphoto editing program is nice. It's very easy to learn and does an adequate job. The speed is great. I hope to do more in the future,as I learn more about the computer and add the latest version of Lightroom.

I call her "Rah -teen - ah". Like a vision, I feel lucky enough to be able to afford such a magnificent machine! Seriously folks, I have owned a mac plus in '88 (still have her). a mac mini, a few imacs, a g4 tower, and a macbook. The latest blew up from a surge and never recovered. But "Rahteenah". Wow. This is the best mac I have ever owned. Everything works great, feels great and is smokin' fast. I am back in the land of the living with this baby! The screen is a work of art. If you spend over $800 for a pc, you need to call a psychiatrist. Cause u crazzzzyyyy! Don't miss out. Macintosh... there is no substitute! I know, I know....

Very light weight and compactable to take anywhere! Awesome for editing photos or editing videos. Retina display is great!!! Simple to use and very well put!

I'm very happy with my purchase. This laptop is great for students and professionals. It's very light, easy to carry around and has everything that you need. The battery life is also great. I'm still learning how to work it. It's a great product, expensive but wort the price.

I bought this computer for my wife for Christmas it took a few days for her to get use to it, being her first Apple computer but so far she loves it for the online classes she is taking and also managing her photos of the family with the photo shop program she has. it has plenty of memory and is very fast. I would highly recommend this computer for any student or professional.

As a non--traditional student needing to move from the Windows environment to a Mac, the change was easier than I imagined. Best Buy's patient associates along with the student discount made the decision a no-brainer for me. I'm 3 weeks into learning the Adobe Creative Suite and the Mac Book Prob was the absolute best choice.

Love this laptop! Just wish it had a battery signal on the side to show him much battery I have left instead of turning it on all the time to see, other than that it is perfect for my life style. Light weight and simple to carry around

Perfect laptop all around (price, size, look and performance). Also a lot of cute hardcover cases and accessories for this laptop. I currently have had this for two months and I'm in love. This is my second MacBook it's a big upgrade from my older black Macbook that I used while in high school.

I once was that dude walking around saying in my head I will never buy a Macbook. It's simply overpriced. Yes, you can spend $1300 on another laptop and have a touch screen, 1TB Flash Drive, 32GB Ram powerhouse machine. But, when you purchase a laptop such as a macbook what you are really paying for is the integration between other devices. Such as my iPhone and Macbook, now it makes my life easy. Are you doing business on your laptop and receiving calls? It's all better when you can do everything your phone does on your laptop and vise versa.

As of today July 2015 the Macbook Pro is still the best macbook to get for overall ability. The macbook air is good for someone in school to surf the web, take notes, travel light, and stay in the apple eco system. the new "macbook" is similar to the air but with a retina screen like a pro and 1 usb-c port that will require you to buy adapters for flash drives and etc. So yes the macbook pro 2015 with the very useful new haptic track pad is the best macbook to get to date especially if you can get it slightly discounted at Best Buy !

As we all know, MacBooks are the best. I knew I wanted one prior to starting college classes. I decided to go with the MacBook Pro and couldn't be more happier. I love the Retina display, the weight, size, everything. 10/10 recommend. #teamapple

I bought my MacBook a little over a month ago because of a friend recommendation. Overall it works like a Mac does, but there are some problems. 1. I feel like they just gave me a refurbished MacBook. The MacBook overheats daily which set the fans on to spin really rapidly making a lot of noise in the process. Since it overheats, the MacBooks becomes really hot which results in me having to either turn it off or put it on sleep mode to allow it to cool down. 2. The charger seems like it's been used as well. -The magnet does not stick as well as it should. (I compared it with the charger my friend has, and their one year old charger works better than my 1 month old charger) -The bottom of the charger is also chipped I brought it back to the store to get the wifi checked 2 weeks after I had it, due to disconnecting issues. The geek squad told me that there was a problem for them on running a diagnostics test, and since my warranty with bestbuy stops after 15 days of purchase, I had to either go to the Apple Store, or pay them $60 to run the test over the week.
