I went refurbished to get the 1TB Wi-Fi + Cellular config without the full price, and honestly I couldn't tell it apart from new. No scuffs on the aluminum, no marks on the screen, battery has held up fine through full days of use. The OLED display is the part that surprised me most — blacks are actually black, and text is sharp enough that I read and mark up documents on it constantly. The M5 doesn't hesitate no matter how many apps I have open, and the cellular option means I'm not hunting for Wi-Fi when I'm out. The 13-inch size is the right call if you're using it as a real work device rather than just for media. Only thing to know going in: a case and keyboard add real weight and cost, so budget for those. Would buy refurbished from here again.
