I really like this cover. It comes in many beautiful colors, it easily connects to your iPad with a magnet, and it folds down as a stand. It puts your iPad to sleep when you close it and wakes it up when you open it. It has a velvet covering on the inside so your screen isn't scratched. It is pricey for something that only protects the front of the iPad. That goes without saying with Apple though. This can be used alone but is made to be paired with the silicone case for the back which is another $59.99. You can buy them to match or mix and match colors. I got the stone color back and I think it would look nice with any color smart cover. I would recommend looking for a more protective case if you are hard on your gadgets though because I have my doubts about whether your screen would survive if your iPad was dropped on a hard surface in this.

I have another case that my iPad snaps into for more protection when I want to travel with it, but this is a great alternative if you don't need the added weight/protection. I also prefer the folding stand that this case transforms into over the other case. It's perfect for using my iPad at home and I like this it powers up/down the screen when opening/closing. The color is also very nice and compliments my white/gold iPad nicely :) The only reason this one isn't my full-time case is because it only provides protection to the front screen (which I already have a glass screen protector on) and leaves the back of the iPad exposed. Not a huge ordeal since it's clearly not meant to protect the back of the iPad, but if this is the only case you purchase you may want to consider having another option if you plan to take your iPad with you daily, while traveling, etc.

I wanted to protect the screen from damage and this is the perfect fit. Converts to a handy stand and is easily removed if needed. Only caveat is that it is not compatible with many after market back covers.

As expected, there is no protection to speak of from this case other than it covering the screen when closed. I purchased it when there was no other options on the market for the Mini4. That said, I love that the iPad retains is sleek, thin size and portability because this isn't a big bulky case. My plan all along was to later buy something that would have drop protection and a screen protector but I will say that the Smart Cover makes it easy to carry. And as always, this case is well built with quality materials you come to expect from Apple.

Ive had plenty of cases on my iPad but just got tired of hiding the slim design. This helps keep screen protected while in my bag. I ordered a back shield and combined with this its beautiful again. No bulk.

This is a great quality cover. The color stays nice. The magnets that hold it to the iPad are strong. They don't scratch the iPad. Easy to remove if wanted. It folds up into a stand. Very smooth transitions. Nice material to protect the iPad glass. Comes n multiple colors. You can have severa And interchange them in seconds without having to take the back cover off. Front cover is sold separately to the front. I never realized this when I got them. But, I love this slim and sleek style case!

This cover is very minimalist, adding little to the weight and thickness of the iPad mini. It protects the screen well, and folds to hold the device upright for landscape viewing of content. My only complaint is that it comes off too easily. It is held onto the device my magnets which are not as secure as the older designs that encased the whole device.

I love this cover. It is easy to put on and remove. Helps keep the screen clean and acts as a stand for watching shows or typing. Not cover I buy for all my iPads.

I enjoy the way the cover protects the back of the iPad mini 4 when the cover is open. Keeps the back from getting surface scratches and when closed works well to keep screen covered. I like the texture and feel of the case ,and it doesn't add bulk to tablet while enjoying the sleep wake of the device.

A good, simple cover for the mini. It snaps magnetically to the side of the ipad, and just covers the glass surface. It is thin and doesn't add bulk. If you turn the cover back like a page in a book, the iPad is still nice and thin and comfortable to handle. Just the perfect thing for when I want to toss the iPad in my bag and not scratch the glass. Now.... If they only made something like this for the iphone!! The Smart Cover meets all my needs when it comes to providing protection for my iPad screen. I like the way it provides automatic on/standby mode so I don't have to manually click on the power button (saves on wear and tear!). I wish that there was a steeper angle that it folds into though, since the current one is not really very conducive to reading/watching videos (although great for typing)

I find the cover to be flimsy and it detaches sometime. It does an okay job at covering the screen and keeping it safe. Also when you fold it to the back sometimes the magnet cover doesn't stay in place. I see a possibiltiy of me getting a new case in the future.

This product does what it is supposed to do without adding a lot of weight and bulk. It protects the screen, shuts off power to the display when closed and can be used to angle the screen when opened. They do wear out over time but so do tires. You just replace the cover and keep on trucking. I like the fact that the folding front cover and stationary back cover are sold separately so you don’t have to buy them both when only one needs to be replaced. All I needed was the folding front cover. Considering the number of times I deployed this cover in over two years of heavy use, I definitely think this is a five star item.

Great product, your getting what you pay for. If you want to have the feeling that you can hold your iPad without scratching the screen this is perfect for you! I bring my iPad everywhere and I hate cases, so it's a comfortable screen protector with a stand. 100% Great buy

I bought this after a week i bought my ipad mini 4, after watching all the ipad owners having one of this flip case,i decided to get one for myself. its of course a very nice and quality product but i dont think its very hard one. whenever i open the case and turn to the back, it keeps moving and really hard to hold the ipad with it, very uncomfortable to use the ipad with the case on. it should be use while travelling case it works as a stand for the ipad to watch videos or movies but not useful at home using it with the case. i returned it to the store after 2 days

I was hesitant in purchasing this cover. Wasn't sure if I really needed it. But since I had some reward points to burn I decided to pick it up. I'm glad I did because not only does it look and fit good. It has protected my screen multiple times already. Plus the back cover without the front cove just looks incomplete.

I bought my iPad mini 4 early this year and have been carrying it around in a sleeve, which has worked fairly well. However, I found that I used my phone to browse the web more than my iPad because it was quicker to get to. So I looked around at a lot of cover/case options and decided to buy Apple's iPad cover. I love it! It is super simple, but has a really good feel to it. It's light and fits perfectly, unlike others covers I've tried. It's a great and convenient iPad stand, too. Most of all, using my iPad is much more convenient now, and I favor it over my phone. I highly recommend this case, if you can afford the higher price tag.

It's a great case for a reasonable price. Protects the screen and doesn't add much bulk to the tablet. It doesn't offer that much structural protection though, so you're not going to suddenly be worry-free once you put it on.

This cover, I like in terms of how small it is, however, doesn't protect the back of the iPad and doesn't help in holding the iPad. Creates only a stand, when propping on a counter. I will be purchasing another cover as well.
