In theory is good, having a long lasting battery is great. but it’s a lot heavier and bulkier than the regular one... making hard to place and to adjust.

Let me start by saying I love the Arlo products but their support is the worst. I have had both a camera and now this battery that malfunctioned. In the case of the battery it will only charge up to 30%. I put in a case on the Arlo site and as with the camera, they come back with procedures to follow to reinstall the camera and the app. You do that a d it does not work. You send a response stating this and then they come back with more steps. They then only give you a number of days to follow these steps and then they close the case. These cameras are in a remote location and so I cannot go immediately. It is so frustrating. Could they not acknowledge this is a known problem and that this is the correct fix. You end up giving up and feeling really negative about the company. But when the cameras work, they work well. My advice is get the Arlo product working as soon as possible. Any problem then return to Best Buy before the return period ends. Do not go to Arlo support, just re-order the item.

A must have and perfect upgrade for default batteries if in active areas or just needing peace of mind for long lasting. You truly get 2-3 times the time of the default battery. I upgraded all our outdoor cameras just to have the peace of mind of lengthy use. Highly recommended and well worth the price.

After purchasing a Essential XL camera I knew the XL batteries were the way to go. Almost double the life as previous standard battery. Definitely recommend the XL batteries for the peace of mind.
