I bought this monitor to use for everyday tasks like browsing the web and checking my email. I've been using it for just over 2 months. The picture is very crisp and the colors are vibrant. I haven't experienced any lagging, except for when my home internet connection has been slow on other devices a couple of times. The aspect ratio of the screen is exactly what I had on my old monitor, so I'm very happy with that. I just wish I hadn't gone up in size a bit when buying a new monitor, since everything is uncomfortably large now. I constantly find myself clicking the "control" and the "-" (minus) keys on my keyboard to shrink certain web pages that I find dizzy-ingly large. The monitor is sitting on a board so I could shove it back as far back on my desk as I'm able to without it falling on the floor. So the back of the monitor stand is actually beyond the back of my desk, but I still wish I could push it back further. I probably should have returned it, but I didn't want the hassle after doing all the research. My old monitor was also very old and I couldn't make out the detail of white objects against white backgrounds on it. The reason I'm only giving this monitor 4 stars instead of 5 is because it's a bit tricky to operate the settings using the buttons at the bottom of the monitor. I can get into the settings mode just fine, but exiting the settings while saving my changes has been a bit confusing. I just fumbled through and my changes finally stuck on the 3rd try. I'm reluctant to try and change the brightness level again, since the process is so tricky when trying to exit the settings mode. Overall it's a very nice monitor, and I would recommend it as long as you have poor eyesight, or a very large desk -- so the images or writing on the screen won't seem so "in your face!"
