As a "smart home" consumer with over 60 different types of devices connected across 3 separate floors, plus multiple telework users, I require a reliable high-speed network with a long reach. ASUS ROG ATX routers absolutely blew away the competition -- after trying several other mesh network brands, this was the easiest to setup, maintain, and add / expand with more nodes. The initial 2-pack will suffice for most locations under 2500 square feet and with a hefty load of devices ranging from smart TVs and air quality monitoring to phones, tablets, and smart bulbs. Speed tests indicate the routers can take maximum advantage of our ISP internet package. Mobile app for easy, fast network customization & maintenance is a huge bonus. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for high reliability, easy node expansion, simple set up, and extremely fast speeds.

Great product. I was worried about less CPU clock and RAM versus the ASUS routers lineup, but it's performance is impressive so far. I will stress test these guys with a mix of streaming, gaming and surfing before updating after a month or so of usage

One of the best mesh routers out there. Albeit a 2 unit rather than 3 unit pack, the connectivity around the house and connection between units is incredible. Highly commended!

Offers great coverage and speed. Is easily configured out of the box but allows for tons of configuration after first time setup. Higher power works very well for apartment living. I have no issues contending for signal with tons of WiFi Routers in range, including a hotel.

I bought this router to replace my Netgear Orbi-850 router that I had for several years but was getting ready to die. After reading the instructions I set it up with the phone app which was easy. I use the internet to read email and surf. I have 1Gig cable internet. With this router everything loads super fast. I have even noticed that Netflex and Amazon prime load perform flawlessly- like when you go back and forth in movie scenes. One thing that I have noticed that is odd is Speedtest just shows my download speed to be a solid 575 to 600meg where with my Netgear router it would vary from 600 to 900meg. The bottom line is my Netgear router never performed as well as this Asus router. I am definitely glad that I bought it.

Bought to replace 58U/56U combo to cover 3 floors with two people WFH. Thought previous router was acting up (after 4years), but it looks like Xfinity IPv6 compatibility hit me. Still haven't figured it out, get half speed. Could use 1 more port. Compatibility with Asus App is not as easy to prior router. Hard to find things (speed test, wifi ssids), they seem buried in the menu. Accessing remotely has been on/off. Hidden guest network has disappeared a couple times (use to segregate work).

Almost perfect. Right out of the box was easy to setup and was getting amazing range and download speeds. However there is very well known issue with these Mesh routers with the Wifi randomly dropping internet connectivity without any reason. Its been very frustrating trying to understand what could cause the issue. Firmware is up to date on latest version, ISP is stable, Mesh APs are within acceptable range and communicate within their own 5GHz band. However, for some odd reason all devices will immediately lose internet connection at the same time regardless of which WiFi band they're connected to (2.4 or 5) and then regain connection after about 45 secs - 1 min. This is frustrating during the week during important calls when multiple people are working from home. I wish I could return this mesh system but its past the return window. Everything is flawless, just this stupid issue that many customers have been complaining about that I wish Asus would work on fixing.

This mesh system has been great for me! I have not had any drops in connection and the firmware updates have been stable. I get great coverage throughout the house. Using the dashboard is user intuitive as well.

Great product, works fine as a replacement to my years old Netgear Nighthawk. However, the install was not as simple as I anticipated and the mesh devices did not sync up immediately (it took several attempts). Once paired and moved to their respective locations, the coverage area has been improved dramatically. I even added the RP-AX58 mesh extender for strong coverage in my garage. A little expensive but it fits the bill for my needs however, I would have given 5 stars if not for the horrible customer service (when attempting to register the device). Unfortunately, my devices serial number happened to be tied to a Video card and I could not register the device to the manufacturer. After several calls and emails, I gave up as their technical support is worthless (imo). Technically great, 5 stars! Support not so much -1 star = 4 stars.

Great dimensions if you need to put in a small space. Very easy setup as i paired them with the Asus Rog Rapture gt-ax11000.

Outside of some minor issues with still trying to get my ping correct, the settings and range are excellent!

So asus offers so much with their app, its unrealistic but I love it. The best thing is mesh wifi, works great for both 2,4/5.0(6) amazing network coverage too. My place is 3.2k sqft. I have one in the basement and the other one at the top floor. Works great. Streaming/gaming is so much better. This was a great buy, but I only bought it when it was on sale, otherwise I wouldn't have. If you have a lot of devices(30+), then you might want the bigger brother ZenWiFi Pro AXE11000. The only reason I say, its because once a month, i notice that it slows down on those devices and I would rum the optimize on the router.

The mesh system works together to give better signal around the house. Very strong wifi and excellent performance. The asus networking app can be downloaded on the phone and manage the functionality of the mesh system, including network credentials. The phone app has an attractive UI and fast, just like the router itself. Again, very pleased.

These work great for our 1100 sq ft apartment! I didn't get a wifi signal in our bedroom (opposite side of the apartment) before and set this up with one in the living room. We pay for gigabit and I get that on our wired connections, but now we get 400-600 Mbps down and 200 up wirelessly from across the apartment. The Asus Aura capabilities are nice too, I like the gradient option. The only annoying thing is that they sometimes disconnect, but I'm sure that can be fixed with a firmware update. I also wish Best Buy carried the white version.

I bought this set to go with my ASUS ROG AX11000 router. Setting ip the mesh nodes was easy thru the app . I’m using Cat6 for wired backhaul, and with ~50 devices, and plenty of smart lights during the holidays, this setup doesnt even break a sweat! I was using ASUS Zen wifi XT8s for nodes, but the nodes just didnt have the needed throughput for 5 smart TVs, phones, tablets and 3 gaming platforms.

Great routers. Pair them up with a ROG wifi 5e and everything works fine. Maximum download speed is around 200mbps using the MESH 5g singal though.
