Ratboys - Happy Birthday, Ratboy - VINYL LP

Limited red and white colored vinyl LP pressing. Includes digital download and sticker. Happy Birthday, Ratboy combines the old and new - containing 10 brand new recordings of their earliest material + a newly-written bonus track, this record celebrates a decade of Ratboys a 10-year songwriting partnership, an evolving live show, a D.I.Y. project, a web of friendships, and every thing in between. Almost as soon as Julia Steiner and Dave Sagan met during their college orientation, they started playing music together. What came out of their dorm rooms was the 5-song RATBOY EP, uploaded to Bandcamp on April 1, 2011 to share with friends and family. Now, to mark a decade since (to the day), Ratboys have hit the studio to re-inhabit these songs and bring them back to life. New recordings of the 5 original RATBOY EP songs make up the A-side of Happy Birthday, Ratboy, with 5 new versions of rare college-era tracks and the newly-written standout, InchGo OutsideInch on the B-side. Featuring mainstays from their live show over the years, including InchThe StanzaInch & InchSpace Blows, Inch pressed to vinyl for the first time and given the full band treatment, Happy Birthday, Ratboy introduces new Ratboys fans to the band's beginnings while also raising a toast to those who've been there from the start. Bartees Strange - Magic Boy - VINYL LP

Limited red and white swirl colored vinyl LP pressing. Bartees Strange has been one of the most significant indie artists to break out in the post-pandemic era. He debuted with Say Goodbye to Pretty Boy, an album length collection of The National songs released in March 2020, on the cusp of the pandemic. Later that year came his first LP Mustang which was named to endless year end best lists including those from Pitchfork, Stereogum, Rolling Stone, and NPR Music. He quickly signed to 4AD and his debut for the tag Farm To Table turned him into a club headliner and an arena-sized opening act with genre-defining artists such as The National, boygenius, Phoebe Bridgers and Courtney Barnett. The vinyl-exclusive Magic Boy represents the Bartees story before this story began -33 1/2 minutes of recordings created before he entered the public eye, with 8 out of 10 never previously released. It finds his ever malleable sound touching on genres like coffee house folk (InchIDKInch - InchBest Of YouInch - InchYou're HereInch), emo troubadour (InchCount It BackInch - InchLittle BrotherInch), and wigged-out experimentation (InchEat Your Heart OutInch). Appended with two tracks previously available only as digital b-sides from Say Goodbye (InchHAGSInch - InchGoing GoingInch) it reads as a kind of InchlostInch album for someone shaping up to be a major voice in indie music. Bartees' story is a fairy tale of independent community and a triumph of efforts to diversify what the word Inchindie rockInch even means, reclaiming it for Black artists. The Magic Boy LP is a fine way to celebrate Bartees Strange's explosive trajectory and his run of dates opening for The National at arenas across Europe in autumn 2023. InchIt seems like the sky's the limit with him. He's got big things ahead...Inch - Bryce Dessner of The National Album Tracks 1. Idk 2. Going Going 3. Hags 4. Best o
