Batman Arkham Origins is an okay game overall. For long time Batman fans, you'll find yourself enjoying the story above everything else this game has to offer. The game plays a lot like its predecessors with some slight differences. One of the biggest differences among a few you'll find, is that the combat is a little more brutal and can be difficult at times. This was not made by Rock steady, and the only way I can justify the combat being so...off I guess I would say, is because this takes place when Batman is first getting started, so his combat prowess is yet to be truly proven. You still get the full range of gadgets that was seen in Arkham City, along with some new ones that can be interesting to use at times. The map is for the most part the same as it was in Arkham City, with a few nice touches here and there. It's pretty much a full Gotham City that isn't partially underwater, but rather is covered in snow and Christmas lights which is pretty in its own right. You get the opportunity to unlock various fast travel points around Gotham that you can get to via the Batwing, unfortunately instead of actually flying the Batwing, you're greeted with the same cut scene over and over again for fast traveling. There is also a new mechanic which allows you to reconstruct various crime scenes and solve the crimes at hand. This is a really cool mechanic that I personally wish they could have expanded upon, but it's good for what it is. The last thing I want to touch on is the voice acting. This game does feature The Joker, but it's not the same Mark Hamill Joker we've all come to know and love throughout the years in The Animated Series and in the past Arkham games, and the way he looks and sounds feels a bit off. I'm not saying that it's bad, it's just different and it takes a little bit to get used to. Batman is not voiced by Kevin Conroy either, but the new actor did a pretty good job of recreating the voice and it suits this younger, inexperienced Batman. With all this being said, I would say get the game for the original story and the new characters made for this story. Also, you can get some good advice from Alfred in the bat cave. Hope thus review helps. 4/5.

Batman Arkham origins was a great prequel to the Batman video game series. The controls were great and i loved the graphics. The new voice actors did a great job and i truly loved this game.

A great game! It is slightly underrated because it isn't made by Rocksteady games but it is still a solid origins story and a must play for anyone who is a fan of Batman. The Mr Freeze dlc Cold Cold Heart is amazing.

Although when I bought it, it had been out for a few years, it is still a good game. Cool graphics, in depth story line and cool character representation. I can't wait for Arkham Knight.

I loved the Batman Arkham games. This one isn't quite as good as the rest, but it definitely isn't a let down. I still had a lot of fun with this game! Action packed, lots to do, fun to play!

Having played batman: arkham asylum before. this story ties into how the joker comes to power. Fighting each boss is a challenge as you have to figure out their weaknesses, very fun to do. The openworld is a bit limited, but still fun to roam around in and all the side missions give you non-stop playing action for hours after having completed the main storyline. Definatly recommend this to any batman fan, or action gamer :)

This game was pretty good and the graphics were definitely better than the past games. But the thing with prequals is that Batman had better moves and gadgets than he does late on. Also, it's obvious that the developers were running out of ideas. The main was terribly short with the side adventures being more of the same in past games.

The only thing I can say bad about this game is that in some areas, the video is choppy. Other than that, this game falls in line with the other 2 Arkham games. Now it's not as good as Arkham City, but not many games are. So if you're a fan of the Arkham games, then pick this one up. Especially now that's it's at such a great price.

I heard this game would have tons of glitches but I didn't encounter any. Most I had was 1-2 occasional freezes but my save files never became corrupted. Pretty good game overall for the price I got it for!

Although it is a little repetitive, the story is fun and the action is challenging enough to be fun but easy enough that you want to keep going.

The game is really well done the voice acting is great of course. Seems to be the same gameplay as the others. Has a great story line.

If you loved the Arkham series, you'll love this game as well, but the absences of Kevin Conroy as the voice of Batman and Mark Hamill as the Joker are definitely noticeable, but I wouldn't let either keep you from playing this.

The game is really awesome... even my seven year old can play it. The graphics are realistic and the action sequence is not too violent or bloody. I would recommend it to all my friends especially those who love Batman.

Let me first say that I enjoyed the game. If you're a fan of the previous two Batman: Arkham games, you'll enjoy this one as well. The gameplay is carried on (which was a great idea). The only area lacking is the story. There is one central story arc in this prequel that is great (I won't mention details because I don't want to ruin the surprise). But the other villains' story and the beginning concept of the assassins hunting down Batman seem to loose steam quickly.

This is a totally serviceable offering in the Arkham series. Looks decent and plays well, I enjoyed playing this game and can't wait til Rocksteady takes the reins again. Until then, this was great!

Probably my least favorite of the Arkham series, but this game is still worth a play. It begins before the other two games. The fight cut scenes are nice and the story is fun.
