I kind of feel like they just changed the fine print without giving you any warning. I bought all the releases before this and didint realize they stopped giving dvds. Its kind of frustrating just how cheap they are with the dc animated releases.

DC Comics continues to knock it out of the park with their animation. This is a great first installment to a classic Batman story and sets things up well for Part II. The animation and approach to the source material is very much inspired by The Godfather just as the original comic is and also has good touch points back to the 90’s animated series, embracing the film noir aesthetic. The action is great and entertains from start to finish. Definitely works well as a stand alone, but I can imagine it’ll only get better watching it as a full story once part II comes out next month.

The Long Halloween for the most part is a faithful adaptation of the DC graphic novel, with some minor changes that is passable, unlike previose attempts to adapt comic to animation (remember Hush?). The animation stlye is very different from other movies and took me a short while to get used to it. Once the story gets going I got used to it and even think it fits with this type of movie. Part one is excellent, can't wait for part two.

This movie is truly only appreciated when both parts are watched. Part 1 sets the stage: He's green, underestimates the need to better his skills as a detective. He actually gains humility towards the end of part 1. 1 thing that might distract true Batman fans: Jensen Ackles is The Red Hood...period! They should have used O'Mara, if Greenwood or the G.O.A.T. = Conroy wouldn't do it.

On of Batman's greatest comic book stories done by the great DC Comics animators. Excellent story, but this is the second time a great Batman comic book story has been released as a TWO PART Blu-Ray. There is no reason for that except that they want to charge you twice for the same story. Bad form DC.

This is the Batman I have been waiting for. I don't know the story from the comics but with Jensen Ackles as Batman, I'm on board. He has just the right voice. All of the others actors are great too. It's a little slow at first to set up the story but then it jumps into high gear. Can't wait for part 2.

Once again, Batman must unravel a mystery about a series of killings dealing with holidays during the year. Great story lines with some unsavory villains. Don't worry viewer - part two of this animated series should be out by now ----- same bat aisle, same bat shelf........

I'm a big fan of the DC Animated Universe movies adaptations of various comic storylines and this one does a great job of setting up an interesting Batman mystery and since it is broken up into two parts doesn't have to try to cram it all into an hour and a half.

Adapted from the graphic novel series Batman: The Long Halloween by Jeph Loeb and illustrated by Tim Sale, this film accomplishes providing the right amount of updates to the art style and story beats while still managing to preserve the look and tone of the original comics.

This title is one of the best I've purchased in the animated Batman universe. The plot was interesting and visually the graffic nature leads our hero on a journey that prepares him to earn the title the world's greatest detective. I can't wait for part 2

I love these DC movies. They’re decent tributes to the original comic source material. I have bought almost every DC animated movie on blu ray even after watching them on HBOMAX. I grew up a comic fan n will die one.

Another successful straight to Blu Ray DC Universe adventure featuring the Bat. This is one of two and I'm hoping part two doesn't take too long to come out. I enjoyed the voice actors they have for Batman and the Joker this time around although no one will ever be better than Mark Hamil as the Joker and Kevin Conroy as the voice of the Dark Knight. If you have enjoy the Batman DC releases of the past you will also like this one.

This is a predictably a controversial cartoon. Here we see the true colors of BatMan. He’s definitely insane. And The Joker is the protagonist in this film. The Joker is basically letting BatMan know that he’s no Angel.

Batman: The Long Halloween - Part One is one of the better DCU releases to come out in a while. 'Can't wait for Part 2 to drop in August. The only negative about this Blu-ray release is the bonus material. It's a little on the light side.
