About this product
Vinyl LP pressing. 2013 , the first new studio album in five years from the veteran British singer/songwriter and political activist. Britain has never needed a Billy Bragg album as much as it needs one right now. Economic strife, unpopular foreign wars and the continued electoral gains of the Far Right mean that the country is gripped with uncertainty, a lack of confidence in it's own identity. Far from solving the country's ills, Tooth & Nail promises to reflect the uncertain times in which we live on a personal level. Recorded across five days with Joe Henry, guests on Tooth & Nail include Greg Leisz (Bon Iver), Patrick Warren (Lana Del Rey), Jay Bellerose (Regina Spektor) and David Piltch (Ramblin' Jack Eliot). Album Tracks 1. January Song 2. No One Knows Nothing Any More 3. Handyman Blues 4. I Ain't Got No Home 5. Swallow My Pride 6. Do Unto Others 7. Over You 8. Goodbye, Goodbye 9. There Will Be a Reckoning 10. Chasing Rainbows 11. Your Name on My Tongue 12. Tomorrows Going to Be a Better Day

Billy Strings - InchMe/and/DadInch - InchAs long as I can remember, I wanted to make a record with my dad,Inch Billy Strings says. The dream to make a proper studio album is finally realized. Me/and/Dad is a collection of 14 classics that Billy and his dad, Terry Barber, know like the back of their hands. It's the music that made Billy the musician and human he is today. The album represents a lifelong goal finally achieved and a way for the GRAMMY-winning musician to honor the man who taught him how to play guitar. 180-gram LP Album Tracks 1. Long Journey Home 2. Billy Nomates, the fierce, funny, outspoken force of nature who hails from Melton Mowbray and now flits between Bournemouth and Bristol, has arrived to rattle cages. The songs on her debut album all come from a place of defiance. Rebellion against brexit, against soul-sapping, dead-end jobs and zero-hours contracts. Against gender inequality, sexual harassment and festivals with obligatory female acts hidden in the small print. Billy's songs lampoon the same bleak reality satirised by her beloved Scarfolk website and explored so abrasively in the fringe theatre she finds solace in. Musically, there are snatches of Nick Cave's rumbling sprechgesang; the 'off-the-wall-ness of musicians like Captain Beefheart'; Sleaford Mods' febrile post-punk; the groovesome lofi art-rock of Sonic Youth; and the brassy americana of Emmylou Harris. What dominates, though, is a feeling of . Of letting it all out. Album Tracks 1. Modern Hart 2. Hippy Elite 3. Happy Misery 4. No 5. Supermarket Sweep 6. FNP 7. Mudslinger 8. Call in Sick 9. Fat White Man 10. Wild Arena 11. Escape Artist

2016 EP. Haunted continues to move ahead with the songwriting and sound templates Desario laid out on Red Returns. They've maintained the tight arrangements and hooks of it's predecessor, reminiscent of classic Britpop, shoegaze and indie but with an even grittier edge. Emphasizing on capturing the band's live sound and energy in the studio, Desario, again, chose to team up with veteran recording engineer Tony Cale working the controls. The lone exception being a contemporary adaptation of The House of Love's early hit, 'Nothing To Me', recorded by Michael Yoas. Even more raw, stripped down and dirtier than Red Returns, Haunted still features the dual guitar and rhythm-section based approach that has been synonymous with Desario in recent years, drawing the attention of indie fans and critics alike. RIYL Death Cab for Cutie, The Ocean Blue, Catherine Wheel, Doves, Interpol, Arctic Monkeys, Ride, The Smiths, rich, Echo & The Bunnymen, New Order, Jesus & Mary Chain. Album Tracks 1. Black Dream 2. Formula One 3. Start on Nine 4. Wayside 5. Haunted 6. Nothing to Me
