Easy to Install and Fun to Use

I got this Birdfy smart feeder recently, and it has been such a fun addition to my yard. It was easy to install and very easy to use, which I really appreciate. The 1080P HD video is clear, and the 60FPS slow-motion clips look great — you can really see the little details when birds land and eat. The app is simple to navigate, and the 7-day AI trial was fun to try for bird identification. Night vision works well too, and the blue color looks cute in the yard. A great choice if you want a hassle-free smart feeder for watching birds up close.

Great Camera Feeder- Improved Image Quality

Overall, I am very happy with the Birdfy Rookie. The camera image has definitely improved compared to my older model feeder. The ability to do slow motion and edit the clips is a neat feature. There are many adjustments that can be made to the settings. It is very easy to remove the camera to recharge, big improvement. Easy to fill. Set up is a breeze. My only complaint so far is it would be nice if the camera could be adjusted a bit to it's right, because as I show in the last photo, sometimes birds are only partially visible. Also, as shown in photo next to a 12 oz can, it is not very large. This can be a positive or a negative. It will need refilling more, but there are probably more places it can be placed. Small complaint aside about the camera angle, I really like this feeder and I am looking forward to all the great footage it will provide!

Great Purchase, Perfect for Bird Lovers!

I recently bought the Smart Bird Feeder Rookie and couldn't be happier. The setup was incredibly straightforward, and the video quality is absolutely outstanding—1080P HD with smooth 60FPS, which makes slow-motion clips of birds absolutely stunning. The night vision feature is a fantastic bonus, letting me watch our feathery visitors even after sunset. The feeder itself looks sleek in blue and feels sturdy. It’s easy to fill, and the free AI trial added a fun, smart touch to the experience. I also really appreciate that shipping was fast and free, and the purchase process through Netvue Official was seamless. For anyone looking to bring more wildlife into their view—this feeder is worth every penny. Highly recommended!

    Great Design and Solid Performance

I’m really impressed with this bird feeder so far. It’s call rookie so it is a great choice for beginners with basic functions - solid food tank, good quality camera. The overall design feels premium, and the connector is solid with no wiggling at all—definitely an improvement over another feeder I have. The camera performs well in both daytime and nighttime, giving clear and detailed footage. I also really enjoy the app; it’s intuitive, responsive, and has a nice community feel to it. I’m still deciding on the perfect spot for it in my backyard, but the setup and experience have been great so far.

Questions & Answers

  • Do it come with a SD card. If not what size does it use

Hi, thanks for your question! The Rookie Feeder doesn't come with an SD card, and it actually doesn't use one for storage at all. All your bird videos and photos are saved in the cloud, with unlimited free cloud storage and a 30-day retention period. You can view, download, and share clips right from the Birdfy app anytime, no memory card needed. We hope this helps! If you need any further assistance, please contact our official customer support team at support@birdfy.com. We’ll be happy to help! Best, Birdfy Team

  • If it's wall mount why do you show it on a pole. How can I keep squirrels away from such an Open seed tray

Hi, thanks for your question! About the mounting: The product photos show the pole-mount setup as one example, but the Rookie actually supports both wall mount and pole mount, all the necessary hardware (hanging bracket, hose clips, screws, anchors, drilling template) is included in the box. You can also mount it to a tree, though you'll need to provide your own strap or zip ties since one isn't included. About squirrels: Since the seed tray is open, here are a few tips to deter squirrels: Mount it on a pole at least 5–6 feet off the ground and 8–10 feet away from trees, fences, or buildings (squirrels can jump ~10 feet horizontally) Add a squirrel baffle (cone or dome-shaped guard) around the pole to block climbing Try safflower seed - squirrels tend to dislike it, while many birds enjoy it Clean up spilled seed regularly to avoid attracting them We hope this helps!
