Black to Comm - Seven Horses For Seven Kings - VINYL LP

Through his output both as a sound artist and through hiseclectic Dekorder record tag, Back to Comm (Marc Richter) hasestablished himself as a singular voice of new music. His ThrillJockey debut, Seven Horses For Seven Kings is Richter's most directand visceral work to date. It is unashamedly dark and undeniablyangry. But rather than be consumed by such emotions, Richteremploys them here as ecstatic .A relentless sonic explorer, he approaches the studio as hisinstrument, using sampling, analogue production and digitalmanipulation to sculpt audio fragments into surprising new shapes.Samples from Richter's contemporaries like German composer NilsFrahm are bent and compounded with elements of early recordedmusic and medieval song, creating pieces that transcend time andgenre. Richter blurs the lines between organic instrumentation anddigital production to the extent that the two become inseparable.Asphodel MansionsA Miracle No-Mother Child at your BreastLetheTen Tons of Rain in a Plastic CupLicking the Fig TreeFly on youDouble Happiness in Temporal DecoyIf Not, NotThe Deseret AlphabetSemirechyeRameses IIAngel InvestorThe Courtesan Jigokudayū Sees Herself as a Skeleton in the Mirror of Hell
