The blue yeti is an amazingly popular microphone for let's players. It sounds great, is durable, has 4 separate pickup patterns, and is often on sale. It's not perfect however. Being a condenser mic, it is more sensitive to picking up background noise from things like air conditioners, PC fans, neighbors, traffic, etc. So to get the best sound out of it you have to record in a room that's away from noise sources. This is something not easily accomplished by someone streaming from their bedroom for example. Another feature it lacks that many of it's competitors include, is an xlr jack, for use with a mixer or interface. To get this on a yeti, you have to get the much more expensive "pro" version. So while the yeti is a very good mic overall, I'd wait for it to be on sale, which it frequently is.

This is a great mic for a number of uses (gaming, voice over recordings, streaming, etc.). However, this mic also has an issue of picking up EVERYTHING in the background. I was using this mic and it picked up noise that was occurring way on the other side of the house downstairs from my location. A filter of some kind is recommended (such as a pop filter). However, I did watch some YouTube videos on how to decrease the background noise by altering sound and gain settings...this did work, but minimally. So, expect to purchase at least a $8+ filter if you want the quality of the mic to stand out! Aside from that, this mic (so far) has 5 stars! (Thought about putting it down to 4 stars because of the filter issue...but the quality of this mic is amazing! So, it deserves the 5 full stars!)

I haven't had much of an opportunity to play the game or use this microphone because I've been moving around lately but I'm looking forward to it when the time comes. The microphone has a solid structure with a great matte finish and is relatively easy to setup and use. I mainly bought the bundle for podcasts but looking forward to playing the game more as well.

This microphone has excellent quality and that reflects in the price. If you're willing to pay the extra for the quality, I recommend this product. You will also likely need a microphone arm to better position this in front of your face if you are going to use this while gaming.

Amazing Microphone for the price!!! I am not a pro at recording but I do appreciate good sound quality. Definitely recommend for various applications.

It's easy set up makes it quite the deal as it's an all in one mic and sound card that comes with presets that work for just about anybody entering a profession/hobby that requires a microphone

This microphone is one of the best usb microphones I've ever used. Very simple to setup and start using right away.

Crystal clear, easy setup and solid. Only concern is USB jack which seems light weight compared to the rest of the mic

Mic is excellent, got this version on sale and it was well worth the money.

This is an extremely sensitive mic that provides great sound clarity. Just be sure you reduce background noise. This does not require any additional software but I would highly recommend it on windows to reduce background noice and clean up your voice to sound the way you want.

This microphone has very good sound quality and works well. My one complaint is that the mute button is a bit unreliable; it doesn't always respond on the first press.

I bought this mic for recording podcast and it works great. Easy to set up just plug it in and it's ready to go. The audio is clear and crisp and is just what I expected.

I like the feature that allows me to monitor what the mic is "hearing" so i can make adjustments in mic location or settings to enhance the performance and recording quality.

This is the second Blue Yeti I've purchased. I bought this one specifically for the finish and I was not disappointed. The mic's performance is fantastic; I'm using macOS 10.12 on a mid-2015 MacBook Pro. PRO TIP: Grab the Blue Radius II shock mount and a RODE PSA1 swivel arm for a simple, elegant mounting solution that eliminates noise.

By far the best bang for your buck. Well worth the money.
