Bombshell - DVD

What do the most ravishingly beautiful actress of the 1930s and 40s and the inventor whose concepts were the basis of cell phone and bluetooth technology have in common? They are both Hedy Lamarr, the glamour icon whose ravishing visage was the inspiration for Snow White and Cat Woman and a technological trailblazer who perfected a radio system to throw Nazi torpedoes off course during WWII. Weaving interviews and clips with never-before-heard audio tapes of Hedy speaking on the record about her incredible life-from her beginnings as an Austrian Jewish emigre to her scandalous nude scene in the 1933 film Ecstasy to her glittering Hollywood life to her ground-breaking, but completely uncredited inventions to her latter years when she became a recluse, impoverished and almost forgotten-BOMBSHELL THE HEDY LAMARR STORY brings to light the story of an unusual and accomplished woman, spurned as too beautiful to be smart, but a role model to this day.

Academy Award® winners Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman and Academy Award® nominees Margot Robbie and John Lithgow deliver tour-de-force performances in this provocative real story of three whip-smart, ambitious, strong women who anchored one of America's most powerful news networks-becoming headlines themselves when they risked everything to stand up to the man who made them famous.

From the mind of visionary director Gregg Araki (InchMysterious Skin,Inch InchThe Doom GenerationInch) comes this hot comedy about the secrets that lie beneath an idyllic seaside town. Heading the cast of gorgeous guys and girls is Thomas Dekker (InchA Nightmare on Elm StreetInch) as Smith, an 18-year-old living the life of a college freshman, lusting after his straight roommate (Chris Zylka), hanging out with his lesbian bestie (Haley Bennett), and trying to decide - if he can - whether he digs boys or girls. Teen angst soon gives way to more sinister concerns when Smith finds out that his small Southern California town is also home to a killer cult.
