Purchased all new Bosch appliances for our kitchen remodel. The only item I didn't open until today was the microwave since the kitchen remodel was not completed. The box it came in is perfect with no dents, dings or cuts. The installers came today and as they pulled the microwave out it was obvious that it was damaged prior to packaging it. it's a shame workers would not keep microwave aside and not package it when there is obvious damage. I am stuck in the fact that if I return it, the installers can't install today and kitchen will be delayed. The damage although large is not visible from the front and I will attach photos.

This is a very nice oven. I must admit though, that other reviewers have legitimate complaints about the loud cheap sounding door closure mechanism, and the loudness of the magnetron and the cooling fan, which can persist for quite a while even after just heating up water for a cup of coffee. I originally had a nice GE Profile oven that came with my house. After 20 years, it needed replacing. I replaced it with a newer GE version, and it was very nice, with a high-end feeling. But you could only adjust cooking time in 15 or 30 second intervals, There was no numerical input. The labels on the buttons were difficult to see unless you are 12 years old, because the font was small with poor contrast. But it did have a nice analog-like knob to adjust cooking time. And it was quiet. I returned it for this Bosh because this unit has more wattage (similar to my old GE) and has a numeric input. But - the buttons are hard to push, and the fonts too, are difficult to read. Apparently, they no longer make units with illuminated keypads. Good grief, you can buy a $200 phone with an illuminated screen, but they can't put an illuminated keypad on a $650 oven? This unit cooks well, and while I am pleased with it, I have to admit, I liked the GE better. As an aside, while I was on this new microwave journey, I bought a cheap Insignia oven (Model: NS-MW7WH5 SKU: 6568213) to use. For the money, Dollar for dollar I actually this is a great value. It is small, and the cooking wattage is 700 vs 1100, but it is quiet, has a numerical input that allows both quick time input and exact input ability, is quiet, and the buttons are easy to see and push. I tend to use this little one just as much as my mothership unit.

Easy to use and is just like the picture. It was pretty easy to install. It runs a little loud but we are hoping that it is as dependable as our dish washer. So far we are pleased with it.

The unit arrived in early, in perfect condition and with very good instructions. Installation went well and was made easier being it is a replacement. The unit performs very well, and, like the other Bosch appliances we have, operates quietly and exactly as anticipated. Looking forward to a long and trouble free life.

The Bosch 500 series was a perfect replacement for our 15 year old Microwave. The Bosch 500 is easier to use and the directions for its use are much clearer than out previous microwave, The turntable is larger and the cooking results are much more even...no cold spots. We highly recommend Bosch

This microwave definitely fit our needs. With a shelf inside the microwave, we can put more food during one heating. Great use of space!

It’s a good microwave but the door makes a big noise when you close it. A bigger noise when it’s on! A bit overrated and pricey for a microwave. I bought it because I thought it was going to be quiet.

Not bad, expected better for the price and Bosch 500 label. Does the job well enough, and seems well built. The issue is fan noise, as for some reason, the max setting (4) is decent in terms of manageable volume level, but levels 1-3 is very loud, due to some vibration. Could be installation issue, but still surprised by how loud this was. Perhaps expected of any other the range microwave combo (or vent for that matter), but I was hoping for noise reduction on the level of the Bosch 800 dishwasher to lesser brands. Probably wishful thinking.

Installation went smoothly and product e works great. I would recommend this product.

So far, so good! Our new microwave was installed after two delays on delivery - so that timeline was disappointing, but the product itself and installation process both went smoothly and functioning well.

It’s a very good microwave. Wish I would have got the microwave/convection oven model. My friends use theirs all the time in the summer and it doesn’t heat up their house.

Good features and quality, efficient. Fan noisier than expected

We replaced an older Bosch microwave with this product. We chose it for the looks, features and the fact that the vent capacity was 30+ percent higher than the earlier model.

Wow amazing and very happy with this brand. Replacaced it after one year and love the new microwave.
