Based on some negative audiophile reviews I was going to pass on these Bose Companion II 2.0 speakers. But, after hearing them in the store and reflecting on my satisfaction with the Bose Mini Soundlink for over 5 years, I decided to give these speakers a chance and I've been more than happy with the purchase. They are set up in a 12x12 room and the sound/acoustics for the small space is perfect. I've previouly owned a small 2.1 sysytem by logitech and found that in a small office/room the sub is always too much for a small space. I normally love heavy bass and a good 5.1 system, but for a small room in the house, these Bose Companion II's really are a perfect fit for any gamer or media watcher.

My computer speakers took a dive today. I look on line for the replacement and read a bunch of review of the computer external. I decide to try out the Bose - Companion 2 Series III Multimedia. And the result is that I felt in love with these speakers. The sound as expected crisp clear enough bass for my taste of music . I would recommend this Bose speakers system to all my friend if they need a replacement.

Works great with my LG Ultragear monitor. The sounds are very clear and there is none of that static noise whenever the speakers are off or on low volume. One speaker is enough to produce loud enough noises to fill the room and two speakers will definitely proud a more effective surrounding sound. The AUX cord provided works well in the back and front of the speaker as well. I still have yet to try a bluetooth dongle on the speaker to connect with my headphones and earbuds.

Simply awesome sound out of this set. Bose does not disappoint at all. Wanted something with great clarity and smoothness not too bright, not too boomy. Just the right sound with no discernible distortion at high volumes. Enough volume to fill a small to medium size room very easily. You will not be disappointed.

I really made myself crazy shopping for speakers. I looked at every option under $200 trying to find the right blend of SOUND QUALITY, appearance, and price. I even bought a razer sound bar, but returned it due to being wifi only on the $120 version. I've had definitive technology surround sound in the past and was blown away by how "in the room" it sounded. And i ultimately went with these due to the reviews and price point. Appearance- wise, super boring. And while they aren't def-tech, they are pretty darn good for the price point. So dont overthink it like i did. You will be happy with these. One gripe. Cable length. My pc tower is on top of a shelf so I had to find an aftermarket cable to span the distance and OMG what a PITA it was! But i found a nice beefy cable from i think mono price after buying a dozen that were all wrong.
What you won’t get with these speakers is the punch that normally accompanies similarly priced speakers that come with a subwoofer. However, this pair makes up for it entirely with a rich, clear sound. It becomes difficult to make the speakers distort as they handle higher volumes well. I replaced my last set of logitech 2.1 speakers with this pair, I’m very happy with my decision and have hardly noticed the loss of the subwoofer.

As always excellent sound from boss desktop speakers. Great deep bass. Paired easily with 2 computers HP and Mac easily.

these speakers are great! they're not flashy but the sound quality for me is pleasing. the volume range is pretty deep and the size of the speakers allow you to place them on practically any desk.

[Employee of bestbuy] They are by far the most competent computer speakers I've seen in the past 15-17 years! Bose is absolutely the way to go! I use to have to pull out a energizer box and a pair of planar magnetic or electrostatic headphones, or my HD600's from ole' mate Senny but these Bose speakers have made that a thing of the past!

Sound quality is great, exactly what you’d expect from Bose. Not quite as loud as I hoped BUT it really is a fine margin, and honestly, as computer monitors they’re plenty loud. I’m just used to loud truck speakers so that’s what I’m comparing to.

Nice rich sound. Worth spending the extra money over cheap computer speakers. No feedback, buzz or scratchiness to audio. Music even sounds good.

Excellent sound for my purposes. Clear, and can get pretty loud - in a good way! Even from behind my screens, haha. (Pay no heed to the dust...) They have served me well, and are still chugging along, what, 2 years later? 2 and a half? :)

I plan to connect them ( also ) to a computer via a switch to share with TV/VCR. The speakers are strapped to my headboard.

They work perfectly and suit all my needs since I got a monitor great for a desk top set up if you don’t want to break the bank on speaker

It’s really great for the price! The sound quality is very premium. Told all my cousins to order this.
