They combine CustomTune personalized sound, Bose Immersive Audio, advanced active noise cancellation, improved call processing, Bluetooth multipoint connectivity, wireless case charging, and a customizable secure fit. The Deep Plum finish gives the earbuds a rich burgundy-plum appearance while retaining the same core acoustic and wireless features as other second-generation color variants. Quiet Mode provides strong active noise cancellation for focused listening in environments such as flights, commuting, work, and other noisy surroundings. Aware Mode allows environmental sound to pass through when situational awareness is needed, while Immersion Mode combines noise cancellation with Bose Immersive Audio for a more expansive listening experience. CustomTune Technology automatically analyzes the acoustic characteristics of the listener’s ears and adjusts both sound reproduction and noise cancellation accordingly. This provides a more personalized listening profile without requiring manual calibration. Bose Immersive Audio spatializes conventional stereo content to create a broader presentation that feels less confined to the physical position of the earbuds. The processing can be used with a wide range of compatible music and video content without requiring specially encoded source material. Each earbud incorporates four microphones, creating an eight-microphone system across the pair. The microphone array and noise-rejecting processing help isolate the user’s voice from surrounding sound and wind during calls. Either earbud can also be used independently for compatible calls and audio playback. Wireless connectivity uses Bluetooth 5.3 with a range of up to approximately 30 feet under suitable conditions. Bluetooth multipoint allows simultaneous connections with multiple compatible devices, while aptX Adaptive, Snapdragon Sound, SBC, and AAC provide a range of wireless audio options depending on the connected source. Battery life reaches up to approximately 6 hours with Immersive Audio turned off and up to approximately 4 hours with Immersive Audio enabled. The charging case provides approximately 18 additional hours of listening time, while a 20-minute quick charge can provide up to approximately two hours of playback. The charging case supports both USB-C and wireless charging, providing flexible options for recharging at home, at work, or while traveling. Three sizes of eartips and three stability-band sizes provide up to nine fit combinations, allowing the acoustic seal and physical stability to be adjusted independently. An IPX4 water-resistance rating helps protect the earbuds against sweat, splashes, and light rain during workouts and everyday activity.
