Purchased my Bose Solo 5 to enhance TV audio experience. I use my TV to watch "traditional cable" and also "stream" movies, IHeart Radio and Pandora for music. This is the single entertainment device on the primary floor of the house. The Bose Solo 5 interfaced with my "low end" Sony LCD flat screen via "optical cable" The Bose Solo 5 was easily programed into my Xfinity Remote. This was painless... Bose unit turns on an off with the TV and cable box. I don't play music or TV shows loudly (I'm Married.. enough said) The Bose Solo 5 has met every objective I had for the everyday use intended. (I do have my separate man cave in the basement with the full monty setup the Bose Solo 5 is not in that room... the Bose Solo 5 is on the residence primary floor for everyday viewing/listening. I mounted the Bose Solo 5 under my Sony TV which is wall mounted via swing arm mount. I manufactured my own sound bar mount using simple angle iron, painted black and trimmed. See pic. The sound quality is excellent for the $250 price point. Bass is surprisingly good for unit without separate sub. The bass is adjustable via remote too. The Bose Solo 5 also has Blue tooth option for use with phone's or pc's. This works as expected. One negative... the Bose supplied optical cable was faulty out of the box and frankly could have been better quality if it had worked.

So I live on the 3rd floor of my apartment complex. I want the big booming home theatre sound with a subwoofer and all the goods. But I can’t. The Bose Solo 5 is an excellent choice for someone looking for nice sound in a small space without thumping the walls and floor around you. It sounds clear, and the lows sound good too. Music sounds excellent. Hip-Hop, R&B, Reggae, Rock and Jazz are what I listen to and I am very satisfied with how it sounds. TV and video games are good too.

I love this sound bar. I cannot use a separate subwoofer because of tenants living below me. This sound bar is great and a lot better than the TV speakers. It’s very small too.

I was pleasantly surprised at the quality in the sound. I bought this open-box for $186 during social distancing and noticed when it was handed to me curbside the price tag said $149 and when I asked why was I overcharged was told they raised the price which I did not understand. It was missing the plug and had a wrong adapter but I was able to use the one from my old sound bar so if buying open box do check everything while there! But happy with the speaker which works better than the larger one bar we had and it takes up less room. The universal remote works great and setup was super easy.

Great sound, easy set up and connection. Got this for use with Samsung 28” TV. Work well together and easy to program Bose remote to control TV and Bose sound bar.

Looks great, the remote is VERY nice, and it really does pack some power. If you're looking to fill a large room with sound, then go elsewhere, but if you want to use it for a small to medium sized room, it's a wonderful deal. I got mine for $159 as they had a special for Elite Plus members. But even at retail price, it's a great deal. I originally bought it for a 55" TV, but put it on the shelf in the dining room, and it is a much better option than a shelf radio, and looks much better, too. So I'll get another one for the TV. At that price, and as good as they sound and look, I'll take two, please. The peeps @ North Canton Best Buy were very helpful and courteous as usual!! You can't go wrong w/ Bose...

I do not normally believe in submitting reviews, but I will stray from my norm. This soundbar for it's size has pretty amazing sound quality, with good bass and mid tone depending on show broadcasting at time. Unit has auto sense so when you turn on TV, it automatically detects sound signal from source. The remote is big and solid with large buttons for people with nubby fingers so your sure to press the right selection/button. I mounted it on top of a Sony 40" led on tabletop stand utilizing insignia soundbar mount with some additional hardware and 8mm screws and cut to length for normal wall mount on back of TV from the blue store...works excellent and not in the way TV remote infrared signal! After all it is a Bose so quality sound is excellent for small soundbar !

Big sound packed into a small package! This sound bar is easy to set up and I can switch between my TV, phone and other devices. Totally what I would expect from Bose!

I have been dreaming to have a bose speaker ever since because of the good review in terms of sound quality. When a friend needed a speaker for his karaoke set up I have to let go and have to give him my preloved sound bar and buy a new sound bar for my self. Iweny to best buy and they showed me differend brands but I ended up buying BOSE solo 5. I experienced great quality of sound.

The sound that comes from this sound bar is like being in a movie theater that I can control. Price is just right for this bar.

The size of the speaker saves us a lot of space as it competes with the old surround sound setups with bulky speakers and wires running around the place. We really enjoy this speaker bar.

I need a sound system for my 32 inch Samsung hd tv and my Sony DVD/blue ray player. When I watch my blue ray movies the audio/talking seems was faint. But the bose solo 5 sound bar made everything much better. Thanks you Bose.

This is the best compact soundbar on the market for the price, especially if you are looking for balanced full-range sound. I used the settings to turn the bass up all the way and once I did that, this soundbar produces a very full sound with good bass. Playing music through it via bluetooth also really shows off the quality of the sound. For its size, it is also amazing how loud this thing can go. I have turned it up very loud without clipping or maxing it out. It does not have a sub, so if you are looking for bone crushing bass, look elsewhere. For its size, it is amazing! Fits anywhere! Remote works great!

I like the sleek look, but I was amazed at the sound that you get out of such small device. Not the theater like sound I would like, but great quality sound. Also, it covers the big square footage in my home, the crystal clear sound is heard all over. Superb piece. I would recommend this Soundbar to any and everyone.

Bought because tv volume is never sufficient and it works pretty good. It looks a little small under my big tv, but I don’t need to annoy neighbors in my townhouse complex with an elaborate system. It connected to DIRECTV remote, but not to Sony remote. I probably didn’t try to figure that out hard enough or maybe it can only connect to one at a time.

Overall sound is great. Really like the dialogue feature. It automatically adjusts the base so no messing around with manual adjustments. Love the small footprint. Would recommend to anyone.

All positive marks for this product. Fast and easy setup, easy programming and syncing of the remote. It sounds better than I expected, with clear dialogues and deep bass. Adds a new audio dimension to all the shows. The bar looks sleek and elegant.

Purchased the Bose sound bar for our flat screen tv in our living room. High quality sound, doesn’t take up much space. Easy to set up.

Was looking for a high quality Sound Bar for my 50" Plasma that I moved into my Bedroom (New 65" OLED in Living Room) WITHOUT a seperate Base Component!!! At $250 a little bit pricey for the size…but you get what you pay for…and I wasn't disappointed!!!

Love the size of this added speaker for our 55” Samsung Qled tv. Bass could be improved. Does enrich the sound for movies. Long cords allow this speaker to reach outside so we can enjoy music on our deck in warmer weather.
