I'm the same as any consumer today. I spent the countless hours of online research searching for the best portable speaker in this price range. I tested them all in store and even purchased the Beats Pill 2.0. I thought I was satisfied until my neighbor purchased the BOSE Mini Soundlink 1 and I heard how clear and crisp the highs were and the nice deep punch of the lows. I immediately knew that the Bose was the one for me. I saw that this newer version was only a few days away from hitting the stores so I waited for the Soundlink Mini 2 and its now our favorite portable speaker. Its made of very sturdy materials and just feels like good quality when you pick it up. We now carry it everywhere in the house and have found that if you place it about 3-4" away from a kitchen back splash or wall it truly will amaze you at how BIG this tiny package really sounds. I even placed it in my printer cabinet in my office just playing around and you would have thought you were playing a full size shelf system from the 90's (see below pic). We have used this speaker pool side and everyone comes and asks about it and immediately say that they need one...so dont walk, but RUN right now to buy this amazing piece of engineering from BOSE.

The low end is hard to believe as with most Bose products. It is also louder than I expected. The only negative is that it does not charge up in countries with 220 - 240 volts, even though the power supply indicated it will. It would only charge in the electric razor 110 volt socket in my hotel. It is small and light enough to slip in a briefcase or backpack.

I have always been a fan of Bose products. This speaker has a really cool looking small compact design which allows you to take it on the go, however I also recommend buying a cover which is available in order to avoid cosmetic damage. I have never seen a speaker this small that has such clear sound. I previously purchased the Harman Kardon One because it was on special for $79.99 instead of 199.99 original price. I got home turned it on and then proceeded to put it back in the box and took it back. The sound quality was no where near what I was looking for. So I decided to give the Bose Soundlink Mini II a try and I couldn't be happier with it. I highly recommend this speaker. It's not something you would use to throw a party but for personal use around the house and little get togethers it's a perfect fit.

The deep base with no rattle and the clarity of amplified sound brought to the speakers is beyond belief. I had a Jam___ speaker that I was totally satisfied with until I listened to this BOSE and bought this BOSE as a gift for my girlfriend. Now I cannot be happy until I get one for myself!!!

When you think BOSE you think quality. This is exactly what you get with this package. immerse yourself in quality sound in any environment, the aluminum body gives this thing BASS (even if it's just in your back pocket) and putting this bad boy in the corner of a room makes it sound even bigger. it's probably not the loudest out there, or has the longest battery life, but the sound quality makes up for it.

Don't let the size of this little baby fool you! The high quality sound it can put out is amazing. My first Bose purchase and I am extremely pleased. Tested others in the store and I felt this one was the best for the amount I wanted to spend (under $200). True to its word...you get 8+ hours to full charge. Easy to set up...literally within 1-2 minutes. Took it to a family get together and everyone couldn't believe the music was coming from this little box.

I spent about an hour trying out all kinds of different wireless speaks and this one was the only I honestly didn't believe sounding as amazing as it did. The base is just SICK and I had to keep checking that the sound coming out of it was really as amazing as I was hearing. Verdict? It does and it is. I love this speaker and I couldn't be more pleased. The Bluetooth feature makes this on of the best portable speakers I have every used.

After comparing the sound quality of every speaker on display, I found the BOSE ll to have the best depth and clarity. I also chose it for best design and portability for my needs. I especially like the great sound at LOW levels.

Got this in late 2016, great sound, Bluetooth, etc. However, the speaker suddenly stopped working. Troubleshooting per Bose support did not help. Also, the battery is not user replaceable - it is connected by cable. I called Bose and they offered to fix it for 80 usd! Why not stand behind your faulty product? Buyer beware! Purchase an amazon speaker, it lasts longer and it’s battery is user replaceable.

This is a great speaker with good quality sound. It easily connected to our iPhone using iTunes and Spotify music. We've used it all around the house, on the back porch and on trips.

Very nice sound, but not drop proof or water resistant, got to be very careful with it, a little high for the competition

SOUND: This unit puts out a rich, clean, clear sound. Bass is present without being overwhelming; higher notes don't get tinny. When evaluating any speakers, I listen for how well they handle guitar and a cappella, because fuzziness and other issues will stand out. This little unit did not muddy the purity of the unaccompanied human voice. It also stood up to the subtle complexities of guitar -- in ballads, rock, and the music I love best, Hawaiian slack-key. PORTABILITY. The unit is small enough to tuck into a day pack or oversize purse. The internal battery holds a charge of up to 8 hours' playing time, which means you don't need to bring the provided power adapter (but if you do, it's in two compact parts, a USB cable and a slimline wall adapter with fold-flat prongs). The unit will simultaneously recharge and perform as a speaker. I was able to recharge a drained battery while playing music in about 70 minutes. EASE OF USE. Initial setup takes just a few minutes, and can be done while you are recharging the battery. The spoken instructions are easy to follow. Then it's a matter of getting your Bluetooth-enabled devices to recognize the speaker. Once this recognition process is complete, whenever the speaker is on, it will verbally identify any synched device that comes within range. And this is not a generic identification - the SoundLink uses the name you've assigned to each device. Toggling between devices is simple, too, just a matter of using the "pause" and "play" controls on your devices. APPEARANCE/DURABILITY: The case is smooth, with rounded corners. The one-piece top panel and two narrow vertical panels on the sides of the case are rubberized, with some flexibility. Control functions are printed on the surface of the top panel, and are pressure-sensitive, so there are no moving parts exposed. The narrow strips on the sides of the case give you a surer grip when lifting or moving the unit. The SoundLink and power supply are both well-machined. Overall, the unit seems sturdy and capable of withstanding daily use, including frequent movement and plugging and unplugging.
