Good quality, but doesn't have noise cancelling effect.

I will declare that I'm a bit of a Bose fan having bought many Bose lifestyle systems, iPod docks and headphones. I bought this pair for my wife and she loves them. I have the noise cancelling versions because I am on planes frequently. But, you do not need the NC versions of you're not in a noisy environment. Indeed these are slightly preferable because they're even lighter. The sound is rich and balanced without an unnatural tendency towards bass which many of the competitive brands seem to have. Brilliant headphones and good value.

The Bose SoundTrue headphones are very light and portable. They come with a nice travel case to protect them in transit, although it is a soft material. The sound is very good for the price range; these are the best option <$100 unless you consider yourself an audiophile, in which case I would recommend the Sennheiser HD 558s instead (although they are much bulkier and do not include a case). While the sound is clear, the bass lacks oomph. If you are a bass-head, you will better appreciate the Sony Extra Bass headphones for an extra $30. The included cable is absurdly long, which is convenient sometimes but it also can get in the way if you intend to listen on the go. If you want headphones to workout in the Jabra Moves are a good choice, but they are on-ear. Really, these work all right for exercise, but the cups will get sweaty quickly and the cable can sometimes be obstructive. If you want good headphones you can listen to and forgot your wearing, these are excellent, and the reasonable cost is a massive uptick.
