This coffee maker brews excellent coffee especially on custom settings. I got the glass carafe because I like to see the brew results and I don’t keep coffee for hours. In addition I don’t like the brown staining that stainless;Ed’s steel has a tendency to develop. When I need to hold coffee I just transfer it to a thermal carafe. I don’t understand the issues some people have with this brewer as it was very easy to set up and use. Just follow the instructions! We find the coffee to be perfect temperature, complex, aromatic and delicious. I like my coffee strong and this Breville Luxe delivers excellent strong coffee. It is moderately expensive but worth it.

Excellent coffee maker. I have yet to go into the custom brew as we are very satisfied with the default settings. The instruction manual is a little vague on some things. Like setting the keep warm time at first. We are slowly working our way through the settings as we come to them. The delay brew time as far as I can tell must be set each time you want to set it so that the coffee is done when I wake up (3:00 am). The clock and start time as far as I have experienced do not have a memory. It does brew fast and make a little noise since it has a pump. Nothing to distracting but definitely not quiet. But the results are so worth it. It will be fun exploring all the options that this coffee maker has. Hopefully for years to come.

So glad I found this coffee maker at Best Buy, got plenty of help from the salesperson he knew his stuff. Makes a super cup of coffee and super easy to use. I would recommend to anyone. Paul P.

I love this coffee maker, it brews a pot the fastest I've every experienced. Only down side is the time doesn't display on it. You have to set the time so you can auto-brew but you cannot see what time it actually is, even when it's idle.

The hot plate scratched on first use, by the glass carafe I guess? Overall it's not a bad machine, but I'm disappointed for what I paid for. The menu is also pretty confusing. On first use, I pressed the button without realizing that will immediately start the brew, and the brewing started without the carafe in place. Water was everywhere. There should at be some guardrail for detecting no carafe. Expecting more and not a hot plat that scratches with normal use at this price point.

Seems to be made well but the drip stop doesn't stop drips. Also grinds end up out and over the filter unless you make really weak coffee.

Hard to clean, complicated settings, hard to find a good filter for it(you can use a cone filter but then you have an extra part to clean). Settings make no sense. Stick to Ninja.

Needs to be recalled. The "showerhead ring" expands during brewing (hot water) and falls into the grounds basket. This is not normal. Careful you do not discard the ring with your coffee grounds. Breville needs to replace.

Thank you for your review and feedback. Please make sure the shower ring has been inserted properly. If inserted upside down, it will be loose. The side with the steps should be up into the machine.

Have gone thru about 3 coffee makes from major brans in the last year and they all stopped working. Finally paid more money to get a better one and man this is the best cup of coffee ive had in a long time.
