About this product
Overall, it's yet another mostly remarkable album from Walker but there are admittedly a couple of weaker tracks here - specifically the duet InchStateline Fireworks,Inch which seems a little out of place here and the plodding InchSlow Leak,Inch which kills a little of the momentum here. The set, complete with a Inchtip your waitstaffInch intro is meant to sound like the live soundtrack to a piano player club act, includes a 45 second bar fight to split up the album (aptly titled InchBar FightInch). All momentum is quickly brough back up to speed on the rambunctious InchTell Me I'm Pretty (Bethamphetamine Pt. 2)Inch one of the few guitar-heavy tracks here. And as fun as raucous moments like that are, it's a song like InchHoly Water Hangover,Inch the first single and easily one of the most addictively catchy songs Walker has ever written, that makes this album a need to own. Album Tracks 1. The Band Takes the Stage 2. Leather Weather (MR. And Ms. Understanding) 3. Roll Away (Like a Stone) 4. Avalanche 5. State-Line Fireworks (With Sue Clayton) 6. Slow Leak 7. Bar Fight 8. Tell Me I'm Pretty (Bethamphetamine PT 2) 9. Holy Water Hangover 10. Don't Let It Weigh Heavy on Your Heart (With Elizabeth Cook) 11. The Negotiator 12. The Band Plays An Encore 13. Lean Into Me

STAY GOLD - The stories on Stay Gold are very well fleshed out, something Butch credits to Inchgrowing up on some of those dudes - Elton John and the (Bernie) Taupin lyrics, Springsteen and Joel.Inch It kicks off with the title song, a straight-ahead rocker, loaded with swagger and lyrics that call out native GA locales featuring a nod to the S.E. Hinton novel (and later, a Coppola film), The Outsiders. The lead single InchEast Coast GirlInch and InchMexican CokeInch are inspired by Walker's move to Los Angeles, the former effectively combining an anthemic chorus with spoken verses, recorded conversationally on an iPhone. The writerly eye for detail is apparent in one of Stay Gold's standout tracks, InchWilder In The HeartInch, describing an airport meeting with a girlfriend. The album also includes InchDescendingInch, a beautiful, decidedly tender duet with country singer Ashley Monroe about survival and staying on the course of love. Overall, Stay Gold is clearly Walker's most articulate to date. When asked if the stories are real or imagined, he replies, InchAll the songs are half true.Inch Album Tracks 1. Stay Gold 2. East Coast Girl 3. Wilder in the Heart 4. Ludlow Expectations 5. Descending 6. Irish Exit 7. Mexican Coke 8. Can We Just Not Talk About Last Night 9. Spark Lost 10. Record Store

With gritty hints of folk, pop and rock, Afraid of Ghosts weaves a journey through life, love, death and everything in between. Album Tracks 1. Afraid of Ghosts 2. I Love You 3. Chrissie Hynde 4.
