About this product

C.R. Avery is a one man hip hop beatbox blues harmonica americana iconoclast - touring the world with the Be Good Tanyas and solo through the slam poetry circuit. Tom Waits is a fan and arranged for C.R. to hook up with Epitaph and record an album - but Epitaph had no idea what to do and let C.R. go without releasing the album. If Paul Butterfield could rhyme, you'd have an idea of what a groundbreaking piece of work this is and the genre busting audio statement that will define C.R. Avery. An album that matures and rewards with every listen. C.R. Avery has toured extensively throughout the USA and will continue to do so in support of this album. DELUXE DIGIPAK with bonus poetry book. Includes a cover of Allen Ginsberg's 'New Stnazas for Amazing Grace'. Album Tracks 1. The Boxer Who Just Returned from London 2. New Stanzas for Amazing Grace 3. Planet Boiler Room 4. Rings a Bell 5. Slave Lake Blues 6. Hell of a Hotel of Harm 7. Moxie 8. Down at the Cafe 9. Birdcage 10. Black Bible Night 11. President of Ottawa 12. Prime Minister's Chair 13. The Ballad of Charlie Parker and Patsy Cline
