Q: How loud is this kettle when it is heating water? Is it too noisy to use in an office space?
A: There is no sound when heating the water. The only sound from the kettle is piping sound (3 times) when the water reaches its boiling point. This kettle is best design for office and home use it very silent.
Q: Is there any plastic on the inside of the kettle?
A: No plastic. There is a little bit of rubber next to what I believe to be probe to monitor temperature.
A: I can't find a manual online but it does include a small pamphlet in the box. The kettle WILL auto-shut off when done boiling, whether you picked it up or not. It has a "keep warm" feature that you can manually enable, & even that will shut off automatically after a set time. At temps 158, 167, or 185, the kettle maintains it's temp for 30 minutes. At 194 or 203 the kettle will maintain its temp for 10 minutes. When set at 212, the kettle will NOT use the "keep warm" function.
A: This kettle holds 3.38 cups.
Q: My glass lid cracked. How I can order another one?
A: Apparently you can't order a lid. The whole item must be replaced. This is the only downside or weakness in the product that I have found. Item does have a one year warranty beside add on Geek Squad plan. I returned mine to local Best Buy with proof of purchase and after associate having to get manager approval and a little hassle with the process Best Buy sent me a new one. Hopefully, your Best Buy associate will be in a better mood and less defensive.
A: No rust

A: I don’t no where it’s made and don’t really care as most things are made overseas. All I can say is that this is much better than the Hario I used to own Love the variable temperature control.
