Very unique game play. Not many games allow you to be "the bad guy/monster" and do it well {that isn't a fighter game}. "Maneater" and "Fish: Feed and Grow" were the only games I can recall that did this perfectly well, although they were 3rd/1st person {respectfully} perspective where this game is 2-D. The retro bit graphics give it some charm that I feel would be lost with modern day graphics. The holiday themed DLC was just too funny. I would recommend it to any retro gamer who's tired of being the "hero."

Awesome game now Best Buy made me happy on this one. The game rocks and is limited also condition if graded would have been an easy 9.5 maybe higher no creases or anything like that mint unopened.

I did not think much on this game at first, but I did like the fact that you (the player) are the monster, and you are out to take out these filthy humans whom have captured you. Turn the tables on your captors, eat them all, become stronger, larger, harder to kill, and maybe you will survive the next level of gameplay this game has to offer. By no means this is an easy game either, you have to watch out for those bullet, and those clever, dastardly humans that are trying to hunt you down, just because you are a carnivorous monster that's taking over their precious hidden laboratory. Show them no mercy, but don't go into a room without carefully studying the humans. Oh, and if you want to scare them a bit before taking a bite out of them, you can growl and keep them guessing from where you are coming from.

I absolutely love this game. It is one of those rare titles that draws you in and you can put it down. Very well written story and the graphics are excellent on the switch. Both big screen and small. When pared up with the Pro controller the game mechanics shine. Great job Devolver! Pick this title up, if you can find it.

This game is a gem. Unfortunately, Best Buy nor other stores carry this title much in their inventories, so if you do see it, snag it up right away. At $30, it's a bargain and a steal. Comes with alternate interior art, and a mini-artbook inside. Plus the free software/title update includes free DLC: Greatest Time of Year. Total Win-Win!!

The trailers for CARRION looks great with a clear inspiration from John Carpenter's The Thing and the game does deliver as much as it can. You'll be eating people left and right as well as unlocking new powers by absorbing different DNA strands. Each area will have different challenges that revolve around your new power and it makes for a fun lite Metroid-Vania horror adventure. It does have its fair share of flaws though, for one are the controls. They're fine at first but when you grow to your largest size, it can be a hassle to navigate certain areas without taking damage or getting yourself killed. If you find yourself dying often, I suggest to backtrack and save when you've made some progress but haven't found another save point yet. Pacing can really slow down near the end if you're looking to get the end-game collectables and the game starts to become a bit too combat heavy. It can start to feel like a bit of a grind in the last few moments. CARRION is kind of a endearing mess that you can have some fun for a while but don't feel pressured to finish. Enjoy as much as you want and move on.

You are a human eating bio entity with tentacles. It's like playing inside of a bad 80's movie, it's so good. The downside is that there are no maps and getting lost for hours is a strong possibility. Frustrations aside, it is satisfying to solve puzzles and eat people. Worth $15 for a spin.

I played this orginially when it was available on game pass. I saw it for sale on the Switch and was like omg I need this! Easily one of the most enjoyable games I've played in a long time! If you are considering this game, go buy it now! Before none are left and you will be filled with sadness.

Carrion is a unique take on the Metroidvania genre, and it's a ton of fun. You play as the monster and attack the people who've imprisoned you. Definitely a great game for people who enjoy the movie The Thing.

This game has great flow and a fun twist on your typical side scrolling adventure. Sneak around, surprise and thrash humans, and gain new abilities to unlock more areas. Slithervania.

An amazing metroid-vania where you play as a pulsating mass of teeth and tentacles. Evolve your monster and escape the facility where you're being held, and don't forget to munch some scientists and security guards along the way. It would benefit from having an in-game map, but I suppose if you're a bitey slime-monster, you wouldn't have one of those anyway. Can't wait to sink my teeth into the free DLC!

Great game that has a unique feature of having the player play the threat rather then the hero.
