This is a great power supply for when you have 12th or 13th gen Intel chips and an Nvidia RTX card. I'm using a water cooling AIO along with lots of fans and argb lighting. This power supply comes with a cable that plugs directly into the GPU without having to use an adapter for the 12 pin plug. The plugs for the cables are on the top also, so you'll have to make sure your case has space above the power supply instead. With the cable plugs being at the top, it's so much easier to manage cabling. I highly recommend if you're needing to plug your power cables in at the top.

I have been a long-time purchaser of Corsair PSUs. This RM1200x is powering my current build flawlessly and seems to be of the same quality I am used too. I have a 7800x3d, Asrock Taichi B650e, 64gb CL 30 6000 Ram, Asrock Taichi 7900XTX and 12 case fans in a 7000D case. The system has been super stable, and I have had zero power issues. I wasn't sure about how I would feel in regard to the side connections for all the PSU cables. While using the 7000d I have had zero issues and find the side connections very convenient and easy to work with. I think if you had a case with closer clearance between the frame and the case backing/door the side mounting could be a potential issue. The fact that it is ATX 3.0 was important to me. It also has 4 single 8 (6+2) pin pcie cables so I could connect the 7900XTX without having to use the pigtail style. There is a new metric being used that includes a CYBENETICS rating which I don't recall being included in the description. I have included a picture of the CYBENETICS rating for this PSU. I don't care for using words like overkill. In my opinion purchasing key components like PSUs above what you think you will need will always allow for system to function under less strain and also provide for more future upgradability. I would rather save up more money for a build than to ever drop a level on core components such as a PSU. I would absolutely recommend this PSU.

Good PSU, no problems adding after market extension cables. Powers my 4090 and 14900k with ease. Although, with usb headers becoming more and more needed. There are better options out there with them built in.
