Danby is a darling cool countertop ice maker

Danby is a Cool Countertop ice maker. I love that it is stainless steel. We don't have an icemaker on our older model Fridge. We don't like the ice trays to take up space in our freezer and decided to purchase this and we are VERY happy with it. There isn't an after taste. The ice is fresh everytime. Great for our large family and when we have guests which is often.

The stainless steel is nice and blends in well with other appliances. The buttons are simple and the self cleaning feature was easy. The ice tray does get a little warm so you'll need to make sure that you move ice to a freezer if you are not using it right away.

Quick delivery, really like the drainage port. It makes ice quickly and is easy to setup and get started.

Not bad for what it is

It does what it says, it is quick and easy to figure out. It is not quiet though, I wouldn’t say it’s overly loud but there is a constant noise from it. Also the cubes are wet/dripping so if you are filling a container to put in your freezer for use later, the ice will all be stuck together and you’ll have to break it all up.

This was bought for the work office. We had to go through 3 machines and with the 4th, it was the one that functioned correctly. Although Danby was great with the replacements, it was a hassle to have to go through so many of their Ice Makers to finally receive one that worked properly.

Good machine, does what it claims. It is a little noisy, but it's a ice machine, can't make ice quietly, just can't.
