Finally, a center channel speaker that will not leave you wanting more and best of all you can turn off the closed captions! The DM30 is an amazing speaker, build quality is second to none, and the sound this speaker produces is the standard all center channel speakers should strive to achieve. My wife has described the vocals produced as being so lifelike that you would think the actors are in the room with you. This speaker actually outperforms most front channel speakers as you can see from my MultEQ-X measurements. You may think you really do not “need” a center channel speaker that can play down to 30Hz but once you experience it you will never go back. The range is needed to ensure whatever you throw at this work horse is handled with ease. Hearing deep voices in movies such as Venom, Bane, and Emperor Palpatine are life changing with this speaker. Everything comes to life! Definitely run a test with the Greatest Showman, the scene in the Opera Hall will take you and your viewers breath away once your system is configured correctly. The speaker is a bit larger than other center channels, but the size is worth what the speaker achieves. How many center channels have 3 8” subs built in? These subs will not replace your independent sub, but it adds body to vocals. When watching content, the speakers fade to the background due to black enclosure. This speaker was purchased to replace the CS9040. I can tell you with full confidence that even if you own the flagship center for the CS line and/or any other brand center channel, the DM30 will eat them for lunch and be ready for a snack in minutes any day of the week. If you can make it work do not think twice, just buy it, you will be happy.

Coming from a CS9080 center channel and BP9080 fronts I was a little skeptical that there would be a big difference of sound stage coming from my fronts with the replacement of the CS9080 with the DM30. Marketing from a company is always the latest is the greatest. They were right in this instance. I am blown away at what I was missing with the CS9080. It was good the but DM30 is great. The sound is much much, much much clearer with the DM30. It may not be night and day but can be considered morning and evening. The sound of the DM30 is astounding without any need to rewind media to make certain you heard the dialogue correctly. When playing music, voices are perfect and have lots of depth. This to me is the perfect center channel speaker. I don't think I could have made a better choice.

Upgraded from 9040 center to the new dm30. Unit is outstanding. Nice crisp sound and when watching movies feels like things are right beside you. Only negative thing I have is the price and warranty. They went from 5year to now 3 year.

Great sounding center channel ! Upgraded from the Def tech Demand channel which already sounded great but the DM30 sounds better in every way plus the built in woofers are awesome.

I'm 70 and watch TV in a room with non-parallel walls and an angled ceiling. I've been having increasing difficulty in understanding voices ... which seemed a bit garbled. I've used Sonos soundbars and even the marvelous Def Tech DM80 Towers with the CM20 center channel speaker. I just traded up to the DM30. Oh my goodness! What a difference! Crystal clear voices, along with stunning soundtrack reproduction, Clarity on all ends of the sound spectrum and amazing bass response. The DM30 will astound anyone, but especially those who use subtitles even on English-language programing. You can turn the subtitles off for good.

I always wanted a Center- Chanel speaker with a deep base and this DM30 does it for my system it works perfectly.

Sounds amazing worth the upgrade but make sure you have the space it takes up a lot of space

This center channel is just what i have needing to match up with my DM80s. For those who love some clear center and a little added "punch", this is the one for you. I have to add that it is worth more than the purchase price!

Best center channel out there, big difference in sound with a sub in the center channel, totally changed the sound effects quality.

THE DM30 really brings out center channel sound effects, It has incredible bass. Excellent Center speaker. The sound is unbelievable, Clarity is awesome and excellent bass and treble mix.

Have purchased and demoed multiples high end center channels all $2-3K. Nothing comes close to the quality of this center. A total surprise. The Cs9080 was mediocre at best and upgraded to flagship REL. This center blows the REL away and now my 11.2.4 Marantz driven system has come alive. New center is paired withBP 9080 fronts

Upgraded from Bowers & Wilkins 700 S3, I wanted vocals and dialogue and Def Tech has vastly surpassed Bowers & Wilkins in terms of sound stage and presence. It was a day and night comparison. Def Tech has won a new fan. The last center speaker you’ll need. Simply Amazing sound!

Mother of central channels. You cant get better than this. You can just habe this central channel with AVR and thats a great start to keep on building your Home Theatre journey....

Switched from a 9060 center and cannot believe how much better this dm30 is. Super clear dialog even at low volume. Whould not have anything else.
