Review of Dell - 14" 2K OLED Touchscreen Laptop - AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 2026 - 16GB Memory - 512GB Storage - Copilot+ PC - Celestial Blue First some of the configuration of the notebook to remark: - AMD Risen AI 7 445 w/ Radeon 840M (2.00GHz) - Installed RAM 16.9 GB (15.2GB) - Graphic Card: AMD Radeon(TM) 840M Graphics (512MB) - Pen and Touch: Touch Support with 10 Touch Points - WiFi Adapter: MediaTek Wi-Fi 7 MT7925 Wireless LAN Card —Tri-Band Support: Operates across the 2.4GHz, 5GHz, and 6GHz spectrums. —Maximum Speed: Capable of up to 2.8 Gbps to 5.4 Gbps combined throughput. —Channel Width: Caps out at a 160MHz channel width. —Bluetooth Version: Includes Bluetooth 5.4 for ultra-low latency audio and accessory pairing - Battery: it is from manufacturer BYD, 3-Cells Battery, 70 Wh, the notebook allows to keep working around 18 hours from the full charge in the context of using ii on editing and writing documents while listening online streaming music. - Power Adapter: The notebook comes with Power 65W Type-C Adapter - Display: 14-inch, Touch, FHD+, 400nits, 45% NTSC, ComfortView - Weight (Touch screen-FHD OLED) starting from: 1.51 kg (3.33 lb) - Ports ⁃ 2 USB4 (40 Gbps) ports with Power Delivery and DisplayPort™ 2.1 ⁃ 2 USB 3.2 Gen 1 (5 Gbps) ports ⁃ 1 HDMI 2.1 port ⁃ 1 Global headset port - Camera: 1080p at 30 fps FHD RGB-IR camera, Dual-array microphones, Presence Detection The specification indicate per itself that the Dell 14S Laptop is packed with close to most advanced H/W and Drivers. It is not the latest or the most powerful configuration but more than enough for every day document review and entertainment in between. Watching Movie or Listening Music, In this sense, watching movie of HD version of movies have good video quality paired with the Dolby Atmos or Windows Sonic for Headphones and Speaker, either option feels real for what is. Specifically in case of movie to remark, the sound does feel coming from the display side, left/center/right and surrounding effect. Apart of the display quality and sound, and its ease of using is standard as it is based on Microsoft Windows experience. Then on its capabilities for processing AI work in local, using the standard measurement run by Geekbench, following benchmarks were measured at the time of the review: - AI Framework = ONNX - AI Backend = Direct ML - Single Precision Score: 3572 - Half Precision Score: 4303 - Quantized Score: 3362 - AI Backend = CPU - Single Precision Score: 1555 - Half Precision Score: 905 - Quantized Score: 3472 According to research on reference to the score, and for the configuration, it might result somewhat faster than the benchmark, but at least these scores give an idea of how much can be done. What I wish it ware better: - H/W version to cover the camera. It is based on the application used for the video call. - USB-C port were in both side. It has only on the left side. - Light enough to hold with one hand. It is a bit heavy carrying it with the display fully opened. - On this not sure if it is exclusive to Microsoft Window or how Dell has integrated H/W and OS. The Taskbar at bottom, having applications opened, as it list the icons of applications opened, and if attempt to open the control from quick settings panel for Wi-FI, Volume, Bluetooth, etc; it is hard to locate and expand. Need to go through multiple clicks or wait about a min until show up. - Typing: as type, it is not really smooth as one would hoped. As typing can feel underneath hardware bouncing hard. To finish, the DELL 14S feel solid and offer a bit more than needed hardware configuration for average need.

This laptop sets-up pretty easily and quickly, it’s really just plug and go. It looks really nice and solid and doesn’t look or feel cheap at all. This is exactly what I was looking for when I realized that I would need to get a new one. I like Dell anyway because I think the quality is good. It’s 14 inches, weighs under 4 pounds so it’s very lightweight and it’s nice and thin. I needed another laptop that was easy to travel with and yet still give me access to all the programs I use on my primary laptop. Plus the fact that it is touchscreen makes it convenient to navigate without having to bring a mouse. It comes with 1 regular USB on both sides of the laptop, an audio jack on one side. The other side has an HDMI slot, 2 C-slots and the 2nd regular USB slot. There are no slots on the back side. These work well for my needs when I'm on the road. The only thing that would make it better is if it also had a sd card reader. I wouldn’t want this to be my primary laptop but works great for my on the go needs. It was so quick and easy to transfer info from the older traveling laptop to this one. And this one has lots of space as I was running out of space on my current traveling one and had to keep moving items to an sd-card. So it took me time to find that perfect one with good speed, where there wasn’t a big delay, especially when working on videos and presentations. The sound, microphone, picture, camera use with virtual meetings and videos all work great and as expected! A wonderful plus is the battery life! I was able to use it two full days while traveling without it needing a charge and it works just as well the whole time. I think it’s a great quality laptop and would recommend it. Also, the screen tilts way back, that’s not really of help to me but might be for others. At first, I wasn’t a fan of signing in with my Microsoft account but looks like that is how laptops work these days. I’ve really come to like that though. I realized it makes life so much easier and quicker to access everything I need by syncing everything. And then I signed into the Google account to sync everything else. These do save a lot of time especially since it’s replacing my other traveling laptop. Once this was set-up it was like a replica of the one I was using but faster, lighter weight and with lots of space. Oh, almost forgot, the AI feature is nice to have as well. I’m still learning more about it so it’s not making a huge difference for me yet but others might love it.

The school year is about to begin and most of us are scouting for new laptops either for ourselves or our kids. Here comes the Dell 14S or specifically the Dell DS4265. There are two variants of the Dell 14S one is the Ryzen 5 variant and the other is the Ryzen 7 variant. This review will focus on the Ryzen 7 variant. As already mentioned, this model has the Ryzen AI 7 chip which competes directly with Intel’s Ultra Core 7 chip. While these two have totally different architecture, in real word use or should I say ordinary day-to-day home or office use, these two chips would perform generally the same. And being the 7th generation or variant, these would be more on the performance side. This laptop has a 14-inch screen and is labelled as 2K which for those not familiar is really FHD or 1920 x 1080p. While the screen is only 2K, it is an OLED display making the display sharp and crisp. Also, it has touch screen functionality, but it does not unfortunately convert into tablet form. Personally, this is a downer for me, but each individual has his own use case. So, I will leave it at that. Like most premium laptops, the Dell 14S has 16GB of RAM. Looking for a laptop with 32GB would be hard pressed since the price of RAM has skyrocketed due to the AI surge. The same can also be said about the included SSD in this model, But having a 512MB SSD is more than sufficient for most cases. As for the aesthetics of this laptop, it is a thin laptop which in essence competes to another laptop that has the name of a fruit for its brand. And it comes in obsidian blue. And like most thin profile laptops, ports are minimal. On the left side of the laptop you can find an HDMI port, a USB port and USB C ports which also acts as charging ports. On the left side of the laptop, you can find another USB port and 3.5mm jack. Truth be told, the volume of this laptop is pretty much sufficient as it has a deep volume. Of course it will not match the sound quality of dedicated speakers but for a laptop, the sound coming out is pretty rich. Also, it helps that the speakers are Atmos enabled. The features of this laptop are pretty good but I really wouldn’t this is something spectacular. But rather its specs are what you would expect from a laptop of this price range. That said I will still recommend this laptop.

Dell is a trusted brand and I am a big fan of their products. I've been using my current Dell Inspiron (14" screen) for over six years and it's still working pretty well today. However I noticed that the battery was draining really fast, even in the sleep mode, so I knew it was time to get a new laptop. To my surprise, the setup for Dell 14S took over two hours. I know a lot of it was Windows updates but I thought that was too long. The touchscreen is one of my favorite features of this laptop. I had it in my old Inspiron and once you have it, you can never go back. I like the smaller profile of 14" screen, as it won't take up too much space on my desk (it gets hooked up to my Dell 24" monitor anyway). I also like that it's lightweight (3.33 lbs.) and thin (1/2 inch closed). I use a wireless mouse (another Dell product!) but for those who prefer to use the touchpad, it's quite large at 5 x 3-1/8" (much larger than my old Inspiron). This laptop is installed with the latest AMD Ryzen processor (7400 series), which is more than enough to handle my day-to-day tasks. Regarding AMD, I kept seeing an alert on the AMD icon that it required an update, so I clicked on the icon and agreed to download it, but it kept displaying the same message over and over. After a quick online search, I learned that I needed a new AMD package installed, so just a heads-up. Aside from a minor AMD hiccup, I still like my new Dell 14S and it has been working well for my needs. There are two reasons why I didn't give a 5-star rating: a) no more physical privacy shutter over the camera lense. I really liked this feature on my old Inspiron. b) just like the USB-A ports, the USB-C ports should have been available on both sides.

Dell - 14S - 14" 2K OLED Touchscreen Laptop I have owned a laptop for over three decades consisting of various brands and sizes but in no way do I consider myself a technical expert. Dell is a laptop brand that that finds itself sitting on my deck, including the laptop I am reviewing. This Dell laptop comes with a 14" 2K OLED Touchscreen which is amazing. The processor is an AMD Ryzen AI 7 and functions as a 7 should, quick with no lag. This Dell unit has a standard setup for a medium 7 processor. This includes 16gb of RAM, 512 GB The Dell laptop I received is a very impressive celestial blue, a very dark blue. It comes with a hard drive, 2 USB-C ports, 1 USB port, large mousepad and a thin key keyboard. I have had this type of keyboard before and it works well. WiFi and Bluetooth allows for wireless connectivity. Also included is a headphone and microphone jack, power cords and a decent speaker system. The laptop weighs 3.35 pounds so it should travel well. The battery life claim is 19 hours. The primary reason outside of the specs is that Dell is a great company that releases great products that last a long time and support has always been a good service for me.

The Dell 14S series laptops feature AMD’s latest AI processors built specifically to power Copilot+ and other AI related tasks. When combined with an upgraded, OLED touchscreen, variety of ports, and additional software optimization, it makes for a compelling package on the surface. During my use, Windows also completely failed and had to be freshly reinstalled, which is concerning. Outside of this, it was good but may be lacking a few features that could be had in this price point from other laptops. It is also advertised as a “2K” display which typically means QHD or 1440p resolution, which it is not. *WINDOWS FAILED* After using the laptop for only a few days and doing windows updates almost daily (including one Bios Update) through the updater tool, Windows crashed randomly and could not be recovered. It forced me to reinstall windows locally through the tool on the PC. I don’t know what caused this nor if it is related to any hardware defects of this laptop. The laptop provided no detected faults using the one-time boot menu to run diagnostics. IN THE BOX: - Laptop - Power Supply (USB-C) - QR Code Linking To Manuals DESIGN: The 14S came in Celestial Blue which is a nice muted, deep blue color. It looks and feels very premium with a substantial feel in the hand. The fix between matte/satin and polished colored metal matches the expectation for this price point. The laptop measures just .45” thick and weighs 3.33lbs. One of my biggest gripes is with how this laptop is advertised in display resolution. It features a 1920x1200 FHD+ 60Hz touchscreen OLED display which offers up to 300 nits of brightness and clear viewing from all angles. It can fold up to 180 degrees or completely flat on a table for easy use with a stylist or other touchscreen tools.. The fact it is OLED means you will see inky blacks and vibrant colors including HDR where applicable. It has only a 60Hz refresh rate which is very low for most premium devices these days. I would have really liked to have seen a 90-120Hz screen for this laptop for more fluid video playback and feel while scrolling. My biggest concern is that it is listed as a “2K” resolution. FHD+ ≠ 2K resolution. With TV’s, computer monitors, phones, etc. 2K is equivalent to 2560x1440p or equivalent QHD resolution. This laptop is 1920x1200p, which is only a smidge better than standard 1080p or FHD. This is a significant difference in pixel density. One of the stronger aspects of this laptop is the number and variety of ports. These include: 2x USB Type-C 4, 2x USB-A 3.2, 1x HDMI 2.1, 1x 3.5mm headphone jack, and Wifi 7-BE capability. It is missing any sort of SD card reader which would be very useful for me but may not be necessary for everyone. The fact the HDMI port supports 4K output to an external display is awesome as I frequently like to plug in my devices for use on a larger display. It is worth noting that the laptop charges via USB-C, so if you want to use two USB-C devices at once, you will need to use battery power. Unfortunately, there is no fingerprint scanner nor dedicated IR cameras for Window Hello but it can use the standard webcam for this function. Battery life was ok but I was unable to achieve the quoted times. This should be enough for a user to make it through a light workday on battery but certainly on a power user. The AMD Ryzen AI 7 processor paired with 16gb of LPDDR5X RAM and 512gb SSD is powerful enough for most users. With dedicated NPU for AI related tasks within Copilot, it makes these queries quick to respond. Daily multitasking, content streaming, and light to moderating video editing all worked seamlessly. This laptop does have active cooling which only becomes noticeable with heavier loads. I would recommend 512GB as the minimum storage for any laptop/computer as file sizes and software updates have only increased in size over time. Cloud storage helps make up any difference you may have but as someone who deals with large video files, I would opt for 1TB or more in a new device. I did not enjoy the pre-loaded McAfee security software. I REALLY enjoyed the keyboard! The keys have excellent travel to them with great feedback and spring tension. The backlit function works as it should with no complaints either. This might very well be my favorite design aspect of this laptop. Likes: - Slimmer, Premium Design - OLED, Touchscreen - Lay Flat Screen - Keyboard Feel - HDMI 2.1 w/ 4K External Display Support Dislikes: - 60Hz Refresh Rate Display - No Fingerprint Scanner - No SD Card Slot - Built In McAfee Software - Window Failed Completely (Unusual) Overall, this laptop has proven to be a good, solid daily use laptop with a premium feel and design. The keyboard is a highlight for easy and fluid typing. The screen folding flat was a noticeable advantage for using on your lap or on a flat surface. With four usable USB ports, I never found myself running out of places to plug things into even with charging via USB-C. I was really disappointed with the 60Hz refresh rate on the screen but this only applies if you are used to a higher refresh rate device. Given how common 90Hz+ devices are these days from phones, TV’s, etc. it is tough going back to a slower refresh rate. The fact it was OLED helped set it apart from the basic FHD+ screens on the market. I would like the “2K” nomenclature to be changed in the marketing to prevent confusion to shoppers. The performance will be plenty for the average user whether they utilize the AI functions or stick to basic multitasking, editing, or content consumption. Battery life was ok but nothing extraordinary. Assuming you don’t have Windows failure as I did, this laptop seems to be a solid device but doesn’t stand out among the rest in the price point.

Having used multiple Dell /AMD laptop configurations over the years, I had higher expectations for this 2026 Dell - 14S - 14" 2K OLED Touchscreen Laptop - AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 2026 - 16GB Memory - 512GB Storage - Copilot+ PC Model # DS14265, even considering that it is meant to be a higher-end "budget" laptop. Viewing its real-world performance I am beginning to think that too much emphasis is being placed on the addition of a Neural Process Unit in support of offline AI, while other features suffer. Understanding what is contained within the 14s's AMD Ryzen AI 7 445 mobile processor will reveal why this laptop is an underperformer in most tasks, except on-board AI processing designed specifically for Microsoft CoPilot+. It has a 6 core and 12 threads CPU which currently supports everyday tasks, light office tasks, and low to midrange gaming. Its 6MB of L2 on-board cache and 8MB of on-board L3 cache is puny by today's standards and won't live up to more challenging tasks. Its integrated entry-level AMD Radeon 840M Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) is considered low-end and entry-level mainly because it takes up system resources by utilizing main system RAM as opposed to having dedicated graphics memory (GDDR). So, the shining star of this 14S laptop processor is the addition of a currently higher-standard Neural Processing Unit (NPU) running at 50 Trillion Operations per Second (TOPS), which exceeds MS CoPilot's offline requirements. The results of this 14S build's performance are reflected in underwhelming PC Benchmark scores which shows underperformance in almost all sectors. See some attached photos. So, if using AI processing is your main goal and you only do light, general other computing tasks, then this is the PC for you. Unfortunately, it is not for me.

This is my 3rd Dell laptop in a 20-yr span. I’m sold on Dell and this most recent one exceeded all expectations on user-friendliness, speed and improvements over my previous laptops. This clearly demonstrates Dell’s commitment to perpetual product improvement.

The Dell 14S, equipped with an AMD Ryzen 7AI 445 processor, represents the new normal for mid-range laptop pricing. The construction is typical Dell, excellent, with an all aluminum frame and a nice, solid feeling keyboard deck that doesn't flex under your wrists. The real star of this laptop is the OLED touchscreen, which is stunningly bright and vibrant. It also comes with a near premium price. Out of the box, there is the laptop, a USBc AC adapter, and power cord, along with the usual safety warnings. The laptop feels solid, and weighs in at around three and a half pounds. Open the lid, press the power button, and after the usual round of Windows install and updates, you're off and running. Login is via Pin, Password, or Windows Hello (facial recognition), the usual fingerprint sensor has been replaced by a Hello capable webcam. There are two USB-c 3.2/displayPort connectors, 2 USB-A connectors and a HDMI port, so no lack of connectors. Either USB-c port can be used for charging the laptop. There is the ubiquitous mini-jack for audio. Bluetooth 6.0 and WiFi 7 provide wireless connectivity. The keyboard is a compact, chiclet style keyboard sans numeric keypad, but the tactile feedback is very good. The keys are full sized, nicely spaced and backlit. Typing on it is very fast. One nice touch, the function keys do double duty and can be set as either 'F' keys or media control keys by default. The keypad is large, solid, and responsive, very easy to use. The 14 inch OLED display is really the star of the show. It is stunningly bright and vibrant, with excellent color representation and depth. Illumination across the screen is very even. The resolution is 1920x1200, which makes for a slightly more square display that a 1080P display. Very comfortable viewing, with a small bezel, but not an edge to edge screen. It would have been nice to have a 3K (2880x1620) option, especially at this price point. With an AMD Ryzen 7 445 processor and 16GB of ddr5 memory, the Dell 14S was quite zippy handling word processing, spreadsheets, and email, even large spreadsheets and documents. Web browsing and videos were similarly snappy. Games bogged down as the built in graphics processor couldn't really keep up. I did try some photo retouch, video editing, and complex drawing, which was also surprisingly doable. I was able to go a full day on a single battery charge, although I think the spec'ed battery life of up to 24 hours is probably optimistic. The speakers were adequate for Zoom and YouTube viewing. I did find that the chassis was a fingerprint magnet and the screen could have used an anti-glare treatment. Overall, the Dell 14S is a solid performer, well built, and should last a long time. I can't say it's a good value value, but maybe it's just the new normal for mid-range laptops.

This high-quality laptop boasts an AMD Radeon processor and a stunning full HD OLED display. For me, high-action scenes in Netflix or YouTube videos looked fine, despite the 60 Hz refresh rate. The 14-inch screen is also a touchscreen. Just like with any Windows machine, expect a significant download time for patches and other updates during setup. The charger has USB-C ports for powering devices. You won’t find any truly useful business programs on new Windows computers today. Microsoft Office offers trial versions, but a paid membership or subscription is required for continued access. McAfee antivirus works well for about a month, after which you’ll need to pay for it. Windows includes its own antivirus, and for the majority of users, it’s perfectly adequate, provided they avoid suspicious websites. You can find many free, useful programs compatible with any Windows computer, eliminating the need for further spending. I’m referring to a free office suite, graphic editor, AI meeting assistant, and voice dictation tool. This computer can handle every program I’ve tested so far. At 2 GHz, the CPU’s standard speed makes it unsuitable for demanding games, but it excels in business tasks and serves as a portable, lightweight gift for a college student. Since the GPU is shared between the CPU and graphics processing, there isn’t an independent graphics card. Therefore, powerful tasks could potentially feel a little underwhelming. Most people would find sixteen gigabytes of RAM and a half-terabyte solid-state drive sufficient. The operating system includes Windows Copilot Plus. This laptop tends to run warm. When magnified to 150%, the screen appears to have lower resolution; however, at 100%, the text becomes unreadably small. Sadly, this laptop, like many new models designed to save costs, lacks ample USB ports. You won’t find a memory card slot on it either. A card reader can be connected via USB, but it’s a shame one wasn’t integrated. While the battery’s charge is sufficient for an entire day, many USB power blocks are too weak to operate this computer. I’d gladly accept this computer if offered, but its premium OLED screen comes at a higher price. It is not a gaming PC. A business person would find it effortless to transport this to work and home. This computer is ideal for college students, offering portability for classes and enjoyable entertainment experiences like streaming. Considering the CPU and graphics aren’t top-tier, I’d suggest this laptop with some reservations.

Dell 14S is the newest addition to its lineup. The sleek and stylish design speaks of the premium quality this lightweight laptop is made of. This laptop is equipped with AMD's latest Ryzen AI 400 Series processor that can handle all your daily workload. The laptop display is a 14" touchscreen OLED with FHD resolution. The display is quite comfortable on the eyes for extended viewing and delivers vivid color and contrast. The laptop being a Copilot+ PC, it can handle all the multitasking smoothly. It also has the AI companion integrated within Windows, that can be revoked anytime by pressing the dedicated Copilot button on the keyboard. The Dell 14S packs offers an impressive range of ports for a sleek, modern laptop. You get two USB 3.2 Gen 1 ports for everyday peripherals, a universal audio jack, an HDMI 2.1 port capable of driving external 4K displays, and two USB Type‑C port with Thunderbolt 4 support for charging, high‑speed data transfer, and extended display output. On the wireless side, it is equipped with the latest Wi‑Fi 7 adapter for faster, more reliable network connection. The battery is the king of this laptop, it truly delivers for an all day productivity. It is ideal for most work loads and offers multi-day usage without the need to recharge. I was able to get couple of days of nominal use without needing to recharge. The laptop comes with 65 W Type-C power adapter, strong enough to charge the battery quickly. I also like the compact backlit keyboard, comfortable and easy to use. If you are looking for a sleek premium build laptop with epic battery life, give this laptop a consideration for your daily workload.
This is a very fine laptop computer. I am especially impressed with the screen and image quality. While not overly large, the screen is bright, sharp, and very pleasant to look at for any length of time. The keyboard is comfortable to use, even for someone like me with fat fingers. The touchpad works in the usual way, but usually add a stand-alone mouse. Setup is simple and follows the standard Windows process where you establish your location, keyboard preference, connect to a network, let Windows update itself, and all the rest. After about 10 minutes, you are at the desktop, but I always immediately go to Window Setup and look for Windows updates, of which there are often many. While Windows itself would get to these on its own over time, I like to have them done all at once right at the beginning, so I start off with the very latest Windows version. External connections consist of two USB-2 ports, two USB-C ports, one of which is where the power cord connects if you’re using it, one HDMI port, and a headphone jack. This computer features the Co-Pilot AI, and it’s not the first computer I’ve used that has the feature. I find myself using it more and more, mostly as a starting point for information about a subject before diving deeper into Google search results. It’s just interesting to me to find that I use a feature more and more that I at first thought I wouldn’t have much use for. You won’t go wrong with this computer.

This Dell looks small but it can help accomplish a lot. The screen looks amazing as a 14" OLED, all the colors really pop on anything you are using it for. The touchscreen is there if you want to use it but I don't personally like touching screens. CPU is a good workhorse and handles anything I've thrown at it fairly easy. I spend a lot of time using AI for my home projects and I will say this CPU/NPU does a good job with paid OpenAI subscription. I do wish they had included more than 16GB of Ram with Windows 11 this day and age but all the parts cost so much now, might not want to afford it if they did. SSD is a little low at 512 GB but should satisfy most people's needs. Battery life is good several hours of work can be done at a time and the charger is so small at only 65w that it doesn't take up a lot of room in your bag wherever you might be going. Due to the small form factor there is no numpad on the keyboard so be aware if that is something that is important to you. I spend a bit of time with the lid shut hooked up to an external montior and it works great. Also there is no ethernet port be aware of that as well. Very happy with it overall and for me as an AI work machine it hits all the points I was looking for, would buy again.
Laptop arrived in the standard box, but I did like that it was also sealed in a plastic wrap bag. Including all basic accessories to get started, power adapter and cords. It uses a USB adapter which makes charging much easier as long as you have the correct power output USB charger. One thing I did not like was how hot the bottom of the computer became as it was initially charging. I have noticed that this laptop does run very hot on the bottom. Almost uncomfortable to touch !! Operation was smooth and face ID unlocked worked well. I noticed no lag with video or other programs. I will note that this unit is heavier than others in its same class, but I wouldn't say it was bad. Just definitely not lightweight. Unit feels very sturdy and keys felt good to the touch. Overall, operation was good and the size was perfect. Heat from charging and weight are some areas that could use improving. I always thought AMD was a slower processor, but this was plenty fast and apart from the heat, it was more than adequate.
