I am not disappointed at all with this laptop. For the price it has great specs and functions very nicely. This is the first laptop I have used that makes no noise AT ALL. The design could be a little better, it feels a bit cheap and doesn’t seem too sturdy, but it is also very lightweight. Definitely a laptop I’d buy again.

I bought this laptop for my wife. Very nice and reliable. She managed to spill a tea on it, twice. Had to open it to make it dry, The next day it worked as nothing happened.

Awesome device for the price considering there's parts that can be upgraded inside of it such as the WiFi card which I highly recommend upgrading to WiFi 6 card at least if you have a WiFi 6 router. Also you can even fit in a 2.5 drive in there for additional storage. Not only that, you can even upgrade the RAM.

So far so good. The only issue I have is the matte cover got stained and have no idea how to clean it up. Tried googling it but didn't work.

First off, to clarify a few unclear things on Best Buy's page: - There is no USB-C or fingerprint reader - Screen panel is indeed WVA and not TN - While I haven't checked directly, Dell's upgrade page includes support for 2.5 inch SATA hard drives - Windows 10 S Mode can be easily changed back into Windows 10 by a click of a button (try to download a "non-Windows Store" application and it'll redirect you to the page to make the switch) Some pleasant surprises: + Silent under little/no load (a few Edge tabs open) + Quiet under slight load (think YouTube vids & light applications) + Palm rests are always cool + Simple, lightweight design makes for a great laptop for college, students, and work + Speakers can get LOUD and produce a good enough sound. Never tinny or muddy. + Webcam looks good. Still grainy, but a little better than most. Mic is muffled, but oddly clear with voices. + Screen is better than expected. Comparing to a 99% sRGB monitor, you can only immediately notice that reds are slightly less vibrant (blues and yellows are more emphasized, but you won't notice unless you're looking for it) Not so pleasant surprises: - Mostly made of plastic, but doesn't feel cheap. Concerned about durability, however. - Mushy, non-backlit keyboard, but it is comfortable to type on. - Screen is a little dim than desired - Battery claims to be as long as 6 hours, but lasted around 2.5 hours with a mix of web browsing, video streaming, and light gaming (lowest brightness, best performance) - It does get reasonably noisy and extremely hot when under load. But never whiny, mostly loud air. This hot air flows out through the keyboard and can be uncomfortable to type. - Iris Xe can handle 2D games and older titles (720p), but playing modern 3D games is a struggle (1080p). If gaming is a priority, look elsewhere Overall, this is a steal at $449 and you probably won't find a general-use laptop with these specifications any lower. Remember to download any drivers from Dell SupportAssist the moment you receive it. I'll update this review in a few months.

I had too many problems with this Dell. First, the port where the battery charger plugged in went bad. I had to keep twisting and turning the connection for the battery to charge. I sent it to Dell for repair and after a week it was returned. It charged correctly for about two months and the same issue slowly came back. Then the case started to break in the bottom left-hand corner. Then pieces started coming off. Then the left shift key stopped working. Then other keys stopped working unless I really punched down on them. Then the case came apart. All this in less than two years of use. I bouth a MacBook.

Pro's: No complaints with the laptop's performance, very interesting configuration (i5-11th Gen, 12 GB RAM, SSD) at this price range, worked as expected. Con: Unfortunately, it only worked well when it was on battery, and the moment I connected the charger/adapter, the fan started running at its full speed, noisy, not to mention the battery became unusually hot. It didn't change in my several attempts, and because it's a new piece, I had no other thought than to return this. Best buy did their best, they made sure to keep this customer happy so hey, I may go again and find something great.

Fast efficient and well made. Rushdie a high quality computer with quality parts. Too bad it’s a PC since as we all know Microsoft is a garbage company with sub par software so no matter how awesome the hardware, the software makes any PC a paperweight on a regular basis .

Performance is good, but I was very disappointed with the unstable charging area of the computer. It wouldn't charge until I moved the cable around until it connected. Very unstable. Had to send it in and get new parts for that area - very glad I had the extended warranty.

Decent CPU and RAM specs, enough for running work tasks with pretty heavy load (like many Chrome tabs, large Excel doc, etc.). Pretty fast SSD as well so fast system and application boot-up. The SSD capacity is a bit small, you might need an external drive for extra storage. Overall pretty good.

Very nice machine. I’ve had no problems. Performance is good. Turned off Windows 10”S” (nice try Microsoft). One feature I thought was hokey but ended up likening is Dell Connect. Very convenient to have text conversations with customers on my computer vs phone or tablet. It works better than other apps I’ve tried. I got this computer at a very good sale price. Very happy with my purchase.

Great Laptop especially for the price. For most people, you really don't need any thing more than this configuration. I have several programs and browser windows open for work while streaming CNBC without any slowdown. I once build a server with similar configuration (32GB RAM and 1Tb HD) for $32k for work. LOL

The i5 processor is faster than I expected. It can also run casual games and acceptable settings, but definitely won't be a replacement for gaming. 12GB ram is more than enough for everyday use. I'll be buying another one of these.

This laptop is really good. It's really fast, and I am really satisfied. The quality of the plastic may be something to consider BUT you won't find a better laptop for that price.

Solid computer. Fast and does necessary work I need it to. I don't work a ton on it but it works extremely well for what I do on it.
