What can I say? Two years since I purchased and this little machine is still kicking. Pros: I purchased it initially for a one bedroom apartment. Minimal carpet except in the bedroom, you could say that it was perfect for what we needed. It was portable and very easy to hide in out 800 sq ft apartment. The fact that I could pull it apart made it even more so when I needed to take it on a job and do some light vacuuming on my workspace. The cord was long and never once did I feel constrained within my space. The suction on the handheld mode was amazing, I would frequently sweep up and then collect it in the handheld mode. It also kept our couches clean. Maintenance on the dirt devil was a breeze as I felt confident the filter and most other components were clean within 10 minutes. Cons: I didn’t notice until I moved into a bigger space but I felt the portion that connected to the vacuum with wheels couldn’t really cut it for bigger jobs, like when I moved into a three bed home. The roller would get clogged and make it difficult to get through the house without having to stop and pull out whatever was in there. Hair and fur are especially bad and left me wanting more. The suction was also not very strong. I would have to go over the same spots multiple times to feel like it was clean. And then on hardwood, I would come back over with a sweep. But the disparity was not so apparent until I bought a new vacuum, Dyson V7, and went over the same spots after vacuuming with the dirt devil only to pick up lots of stuff I didn’t realize it was missing. Take away: The power express is a worthwhile investment for small space <800 sqft or maybe a car. At the price point, it’s hard to argue with its effectiveness.

I like it, my sister loves it. Pros: lightweight, easy to clean, great at picking up dust, can clean under furniture pretty far, can clean small spaces fast. Cons: occasionally leaves things behind, not as powerful a suction as I'd like (my sister disagrees with me on the cons). Overall, works great on my hardwood floors and rugs.

I have a 900 sq ft apartment with mostly vinyl flooring and two carpeted bedrooms. This vacuum works perfectly for my needs! No, it's not a heavy duty carpet vacuum, but that's not what I need. I need something to clean up dirt and debris on the vinyl floor and wayward kitty litter in the bedroom. Plus I love that I can detach it to be a handheld vacuum for furniture too. And because it plugs into the wall, I don't have to worry about the battery dying before I'm done with my cleaning frenzy. So far, I am very happy with this purchase. If you have heavy duty cleaning needs, this is not your vacuum. It's good for lighter cleaning needs, although I'm finding that it's good enough that I don't need a heavy duty vacuum.

This product was purchased because my mom has a shoulder injury and can't push a heavy machine. This vacuum is light weight, picks up everything with minimum ease, and can easily be emptied. I worry if it will last long term, but to date it is used multiple times every day and has not has a single issue. Great product for the price.

I love this vacuum. It’s so lightweight and very easy to handle. The cord is a perfect length for my apartment. It is also very easy to clean.

I was surprised by the Dirt Devil Vacuum's diminutive size, but also by it's power. I was pleasantly surprised how quiet it was compared to my full-sized unit from another vacuum OEM. I recommend this unit for people on a budget that need a quiet, powerful vacuum.

Very powerful, this vacuum picks up very well and on hardwood floors, slate tile and small carpets too. It is very light and it is easy to empty. Cleaning the filter seems to be easy to do.

This is the perfect size and so lightweight but does the job on my hardwood floors. I use this primarily to keep up with the cat hair! Easy to use and store - highly recommend!

Absolutely amazing! For such a small vaccuum it works flawlessly. Works on both my area rugs and wood floors and the best feature is that it weighs less than 10 lbs. You wont regret the purchase!

I was looking for a cheap little vacuum just for my upstairs room because I was tired of lugging my big one up and down the stairs for one little room. However, I did not want to spend that much it either. I think that this vacuum is a great value for the price. The only drawback so far is that I have very long hair that easily get tangled in the roller brush, and I have yet to find a way to easily access the brush to get my hair untangled from it. This is why I gave it a 4 star rating.

I highly recommend this vacuum if you already own a regular vacuum that is heavy and hard to use on a daily basis. I have 2 pets at home, carpets and floors gets messy because of pet hair, food particles, cat litter, and this vacuum is simply priceless, I use it daily because it is not heavy, has good suction and can be stored in the closet. I use conventional vacuum once a week now instead of every other day, which was a torture.

I bought this for my mother who--at 91--wanted something simple, light, and easy to use. She loves it. It's easy to empty too. For quick spot cleaning, it's perfect.

Love this light weight dirt devil. Great suction and it fits under the bed with ease.

I was a little worried about it's suction ability however after using it I was amazed by how well it actually works compared to other types like it that I have tried. I only have some area rugs but it picks up stuff very well.

The Dirt Devil Power Express is super light weight and easy to use. I like to use it only to clean up small spills quickly. It doesn't work very well on thick carpet, but I like to use it when I don't want to pull out my other heavy duty vacuum.

Light weight. Good suction. Easy to empty. Perfect for tile floors or a light area rug.

This vacuum is great for older people with limited upper body strength. It is light but powerful enough to match much heavier models.

I love how detachable this vac is. It's also very light and fits in small storage spaces. Great for every room in the house. Lots of suction power for a small vac! Reasonable price and great for your money's worth!
