Such quality TOP film. The cinematography and locations are a beauty to look at. One of my top sci-fi films to date. If you haven’t seen this film do yourself a favor a pick a 4K copy of it.

Just bought a 4k player and this is one of the first to go into the new collection. Good movie to watch in 4k and with part 2 coming out here in a few weeks I'm now ready to see it. If you haven't seen this movie I would recommend watching it. It's a little different type of sci-fi movie then I am use to seeing. I just hope part 2 delivers on completing the story.

I have not read the book yet, but I'll say it's really interesting when a movie like this feels as cohesive and legible as this one does after years of people claiming how "unfilmable" a book is. I think that makes this movie just a little more impressive. This isn't my favorite Denis Villeneuve directed movie, but I enjoy it quite a bit. My only real gripe is that this book, over the decades, has inspired such psychedelic & colorful art and imagery and even music, but that influence isn't really felt in this movie until... the closing credits, basically. All this to say, it's a little drab even though wonderfully photographed. Yes it does take place primarily on a dessert planet, but there's also a real lack of vibrancy in the other cultures and environments and their costumes and other designs. Hopefully maybe there will be more visual pop, as shown in Denis' Blade Runner 2049, in the coming sequel(s) and this minor quibble that I've spent too much time talking about will be, uhm, mooted. Good movie, do watch.

This is one of those movies you just need on Blu-ray. Streaming doesn't do it justice. The audio quality improvement compared to digital is worth it alone.

This is a movie that had a huge impact on me. I knew I had to instantly get a 4k blu ray copy. I put this on a lot, and the 4k looks so crisp. Hope the sequel comes out sooner!

This film and adaptation of the Frank Herbert classic which itself is far ahead of it's time is truly epic and sweeping in every way as it certainly deserves. Including and in no way limited to the liberties taken that pervades this current society zeitgeist to implement flagrant and aggressive quotas in so much as altering specific indications and in essence rewriting history artistically and politically, misappropriation in fiction and non alike. Connoesseur's and devout nerds shall recognize right away. Otherwise this reviewer has no complaints. Villanueva's rendition including metaphorically and pun or not, heavyweight, heavy hitting actors and music composer included. It is grand in every way and in spirit and style true. It is also a much overdue successor to David Lynch's masterpiece which nearly 40 years ago in and of itself was greatly under appreciated and like the book, certainly ahead of it's time and highly applicable if not a bit misunderstood and under comprehended. Buy and watch this now on huge screen, ultra high def, high frame rate, thumping surround sound. Must have for deployment of justice! 11 out of 10 stars!

Amazing 4K, good story, W acting. The only bad thing is that it’s only part 1.

I have this in the 3D also but when this went on sale I could not resist. Audio is exceptional and the video is reference quality.

bought on sale, , , since i seen original ,, wanted to see how creative this would be made with new movie tech .. i watched it once and wrote a review earlier but BB did not post it .. so here to try again .. but i can't remember what to say about it .. so i just a boring review here .. the dragonfly choppers looks cool ..

This is an excellent 4k movie. The visual effects will impress any enthusiastic movie aficionados. The story is well written, and the actors are best of the best, in every scene.This will easily go in the collection, of great movies. Thank you Best Buy.

This is an excellent 4K movie that I think everyone should have! Very dark and artistic. Best Buy did a wonderful job delivering it.

Dune 2021 4K UHD has very challenging dark and bright scenes throughout the movie that are presented beautifully using Dolby Vision HDR. The Dolby Atmos soundtrack also brings punch to the action scenes. Great addition to my UHD collection.

This is what 4KHD is made for. This adaptation of the source material is outstanding & the visuals are astounding. IMAX & 4K are the only ways you should experience this movie. Can't wait for the 2nd part
