This ice maker makes perfect nugget ice and keeps the bin full. It makes ice quickly and although the instructions say to remove the ice when the bin is full and put it in the freezer, it isn't necessary. I did that once to see if it clumped when I put it in the freezer, and it didn't. A little tap and the ice breaks apart. We just let it run all the time so it's constantly making ice. We are a family of 4 and use a lot of ice, so this alone isn't enough for us, but it's nice to have the nugget ice and it does make it quickly. I do wish the bin opened more fully. It's a smaller footprint than the GE ice maker, as well as 1/2 the price, so if you don't use a ton of ice or have less counter space, this is a good option.
