If you have played Garou: Mark of the Wolves, you should have an overall idea of what to expect. There have been changes made with the addition of the REV Gauge and the various REV mechanics. The T.O.P. mechanic has been redone as the S.P.G. mechanic. This gives you access to a new REV Blow which can be used as a defensive to offensive attack switch, extend combos, or as a new combo ender. With the new REV Gauge, you can use REV Arts which changes up some moves with new powerful versions and some new hit effects. Also is used for REV Guard which stops you from receiving chip damage. When in the S.P.G. part of your live gauge, you get access to REV Blow, which I explained above. All of these moves add Heat to the REV Gauge and when maxed, it puts you into Overheat so none of those features can be used until it cools down all the way. Just Defense is in this game as well. Block with perfect timing just before the attack hits to avoid taking damage, reduces block stun, and reduces the Heat from the REV Gauge. Hyper Defense is like Just Defense except it only works against combos. You press towards just before another attack is about to hit your block of Just Defense style block. This restores a little health, gives you a massive advantage to a counter, and lowers the Heat on the REV Gauge. You have access to Online with Crossplay, Arcade that has story scenes for every character and a secret boss fight if you beat the Lv. 5 AI without continuing, Tutorial that breaks the mechanics down that I explained, Missions (Character Combo Trials), Survival against 100 AI controlled opponents with the last 15 having a full health bar S.P.G., Time Attack against the 15 standard characters, and Versus mode which includes two styles. There are also two control types with Arcade being the normal format and Smart which is the simple mode for new comers.

This Deluxe Physical Edition of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is an absolute gem for collectors and fans of the series. The packaging is gorgeous, and the bonus content makes it feel like a true celebration of SNK’s legacy. You can tell real care went into this release—not just the game itself (which plays like a dream), but the extras too. The art, the finish, everything screams premium. Marco is my main, and the game runs flawlessly on PS5. If you're a fan of fighting games, this is a must-own—especially if you appreciate physical media done right.

Interesting graphics, I'm still learning the game but so far it's okay.

Gameplay is smooth and simple, similar to SF6 but more complex specials: though thats how SNK games usually are. Only gripe so far would be the small cast of characters but more may arrive with DLCs. A good place to start for newcomers and a solid entry to the Fatal Fury lineup.

This game is worth the wait! It has mechanics that feels similar to Street Fighter 6 so its pretty easy to pick up, but can be very in depth if you wanna be more than a casual. All the extras in this edition are so worth it. Even the regular edition comes with the season pass!

A fun game with excellent graphics, fast offensive gameplay and complex defensive options, FF:COTW is a must buy for fans who waited 25 years for the return of the series. The game has great online gameplay and a healthy chunk of single player content, filled with lore, original screenshots from the classic Fatal Furys, and original art. There are even a few noteworthy cameos from original FF characters. I can definitely recommend. The art book, steel book, soundtrack, South Town map, and Steel book are also cool collectors items!

I'm new to playing the Fatal Fury series. I loved researching the characters before playing this title. I played KOF 2002 and Mark of Wolves to get a feel of this series. I enjoyed Mai and Terry in Street Fighter 6. I'm open to playing classic games. Fatal Fury: City of The Wolves drew me to the design, the mechanics, and I just like how the characters and music capture me. I'm even more happy for Original fans getting new content. The deluxe edition is even better for fans old or new.

Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves manages to live up to the expectations that were generated since its announcement. The gameplay is technical and dynamic, with a good balance between offensive and defensive resources, without creating unfair situations and rewarding those who can read their opponents better. The main game mode can be a bit slow, but that doesn't take away from the brilliance of the return of SNK's wolves.

I like the EOST and leveling up your character. The is also so many ways to do offense damage in the gsme or to give a player a chance to make a comeback. Definitely worth the wait for this sequel to Mark of the Wolf.

Best fighting game ever. Easy to pick up, hard to master, but the process is fun all the way. Entire roster is full of vastly unique characters, in terms of abilities and backgrounds.

The game is pretty smooth. It’s pretty different from the original games, but still fun to play. I’m not a fan that Terry doesn’t have the Rising tackle move anymore, but it is what it is.
