This lens blew my mind. Ever since it was announced I've been wanting to snatch one, but they would not stay in stock long enough for me to purchase one. I finally was able to get one and take advantage of Best Buy's 24 month 0% financing. It is ridiculously sharp and fast, handles low light like a champ and the bokeh is out of thisworld. Have not taken it off my A7iii since I bought it!

The best lens. Catches all tiny details very clearly. The picture is extremely clean. I can proudly say yes this is the right choice .People ask me what are you using and i want buy too. People gives me more work thanks to Sony and best buy who allows me to share my all work with amazing people.

Stopped using a 50mm focal length but once I rented this lens I had to buy it. Spends more time on my camera now than a 35mm or 85mm. Outside portraits pair well with the Sony 135mm f1.8.

The ultimate in portrait photography! A bokeh monster of a lens. Also can be used for low light landscape photography. I highly recommend if the budget allows. My new favorite piece of glass.

This lens is sold out everywhere, so i had no choice but to buy it when i saw it in "Excellent" condition on BestBuy's website. Does it look excellent? Also, no packaging material inside box for 2k lens? I can't even return it because new one is sold out everywhere :( Tried contacting customer service via Chat, they were unable to help and told me to go to a store and talk to someone. Lens is working so far, but my point is.... its not in a condition that was described "Excellent"

Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM Review

I’ve been using the Sony FE 50mm f/1.2 GM for the past several weeks, and it has completely transformed my photography. I shoot a mix of street, portraits, low-light events, and video, and this lens excels in every one of those areas. From the moment I put it on my Sony body, I noticed how sharp and refined the images are — even wide open at f/1.2. Skin tones look wonderfully natural and pleasing, and details are crisp without looking overly processed. The bokeh is buttery smooth and separates subjects beautifully from backgrounds, which makes portraits look cinematic and professional. Autofocus performance is another huge plus. It’s fast, accurate, and quiet, even in dim lighting. I shoot handheld a lot, and this lens keeps up effortlessly. Eye-AF works like a charm and helps me lock focus quickly on moving subjects. I also appreciate how well built the lens feels. It’s solid, weather-sealed, and balanced on my Sony a7 series camera, so it feels comfortable for long shooting sessions. Best uses I’ve found: • Portraits with dreamy backgrounds • Street photography in any light • Night and indoor shooting without flash • Video work with subject separation

This lense is amazing. Love the images it takes. I like the 50mm focal length. This might be my new bread and butter lens for portraits so worth it. Just get it. If you can only have one prime. Just save up and get this. Very versatile.

Obsessed is an understatement. This lens is top notch. The low f/stop helps create that beautiful bokeh and with it only being a 50mm I don’t feel like I am a million miles away from my clients.
