I hadn't seen "Flatliners" for many years and thought that I would pay it a visit (especially since it was available at a low price). The film came out in 1990 and the actors all look so very young, as I was too! It is an interesting tale about medical students trying to see what lies beyond death. To do this they have to "flatline" and stop all body functions- including the brain. Others in the group have to attempt to bring back the "subject". In this case, the subject is one of the group that has voluntarily "gone under" or, in other words, died. A few of the group do this and continue to increase the time that they flatline. The story has suspense, good acting, and some scary death activities. All in all, it is an entertaining film that I would recommend it to others.

Great movie. Audio a bit low at times, but still worth it.

Now there’s a Concept a bunch of med students are willingly flat lining themselves as a competitive sport and as a research-Curiosity—just to see if there’s something on the other side to test the theory between heaven and hell or are we just human we die and that’s it. But Little did they know they brought something back with them. I haven’t seen the remake yet but I hear is a little bit better than the first but again to each his own.

Medical students begin to explore the realm of near death experiences, hoping for insights. Each has their heart stopped and is revived. They begin having flashes of walking nightmares from their childhood, reflecting sins they committed or had committed against them. The experiences continue to intensify, and they begin to be physically beaten by their visions as they try and go deeper into the death experience to find a cure.

Flatliners is a relatively old movie that holds up to the test of time. It still grabs the viewer's attention from start to finish even with the dated visuals. The collectible steelbook packaging it comes in looks absolutely gorgeous on the shelf, and even comes with a clear plastic slipcover that goes over the steelbook, which makes this sought after by collectors.

Pretty good horror movie from 30 years ago if you can get past Julia Roberts, I don't know why I find her so irritating. America's Sweetheart aside, it is pretty well done. I guess I would classify as it horror. What could be more horrible than a group of Med students studying in urban NY?

This movie is one of my favorite movies ever! It has a wonderful cast and they all brought their all to their roles. This movie has an excellent meaning and makes you think a lot about yourself and others around you. I highly recommend this movie to anyone!

I bought this BD because I got very impressed about this movie when I watched it for the first time, sometime mid of 90s. Considering this movie was made in 1990, the quality of the movie was good; however, I was somewhat surprised when the movie started immediately when I inserted the disc in the player. I tried to enable the subtitle and to select the audio setting because it says it supports Dolby Digital, but there is NO menu at all. No subtitle, no extra features. Maybe I expected too much. The movie itself is great, but the contents of this BD is quite disappointing.

This steelbook is so beautiful! It has a see through plastic slipcover, which has the heart line on. There is a secret message on the front of the steelbook also! Beautiful artwork on the front, back, inside and on the disks. Definitely a great addition to any collection!

HAD THE MOVIE ON VHS. WANTED BLU RAY TO UPDATE TECHNOLYOGY. THE SOUND IS NOT PRESERVED WELL. SO MOST OF MY VHS TAPES ARE DEAD NOW. AS WELL AS 30 YEAR OLD DVD'S. HAD TO UPGRADE TO BLU RAY FOR SOUND.

I have long loved this movie. Truly a psychological thriller, it keeps you on your toes. There is a new version that came out. But I highly attest that it is not as good as this original. Keifer Sutherland does an amazing job on this one.

Most already know about the movie so I will speak on behalf of the packaging. It is a very nice steelbook with a non streaky matte finish with spot glossing. The title is not on the steelbook itself rather it is on the clear removable slipcover.

Fantastic young cast , K. SUTHERLAND, K. BACON , J. ROBERTS , B. BALDWIN , PLATT . BOUGHT THIS CAUSE WANTED TO SEE IT SINCE I SAW IT ORIGINALLY. GREAT PICTURE AND THE STORY STILL HOLDS UP. MUST WATCH .

One of my favorite classic films, had to upgrade the dvd to blu ray. Watched the new reboot but this is still the one and only one I’ll keep watching.

For 3.99 I was super happy to add this to my collection . I like the story of this movie . Not a cheesy remake . Defiantly worth checking out .

The Blu ray quality: Picture and sound are good. I saw this movie when it first came out. I liked it then. I still enjoyed a second time. It is worth a look.

This is a great story, a subject matter that many people have wondered about for thousands of years. To travel to the other side of death and then to return is fascinating. Where the movie becomes interesting is with the consequences of cheating death.

Great classic movie enjoyed it and the actors and actresses were all great too. The movie was great for its time and was something different that was enjoyable.

The original Flatliners is so much better than the remake. I remember this from my childhood.
