Not quite the quality I expected. I've owned all of the past MS Flight Sim games. Had little problems with them. This new Flight Sim is a royal pain in the rear. Constantly giving trouble, locking up, losing controls mid flight. Updates that take a day to complete. Not much flying time at all. And yes my PC has a top end video card, 32 gigs of ram and an I9 processor. Once the bugs get worked out I'm confident that this will be the best game ever. It's just taking too long to fix the bugs.

It's been a long time since Microsoft released Flight Simulator X which was great for its time. The release of Flight Simulator 2020 represents a major leap forward, It's graphic engine is, at the higher settings, close to photo realistic. Looking down while flying shows incredible details right down to cars moving on roads and freeways. You can set a variety of variables such as time, live weather, clouds, etc. There is a very good selection of aircraft and highly detailed models of selected airports. There are already bundles of free and paid add ons that can be applied to enhance the program even more. One cautionary note. In order to run FS2020 at the High or Ultra graphics settings, you'll need a powerful PC with ideally at least an I7-9700 processor, 32GB of RAM and a fast graphics card with 6GB of Video RAM of more. The Nividia RTX 2070 Super card works very well with the program and should be dropping in price with the introduction of the new RTX 30 series over the next month. If you can wait, the new RTX 3070 is due out next month and should provide an excellent experience.

I've been an armchair pilot since the days of SubLogic software in the mid 80's. Clearly, we've come a long way since then. But after 8 months since it's release, Microsoft (Asobo) is still patching this which is great that they are very conscientious to fixing problems, but just like updates, sometimes they fix some things but break others. Also annoyances that seem the simplest to fix get put on the back burner. Autopilot is broken (sometimes it will work) which makes this unplayable. No one wants to crash and burn even virtually. Also, this 'game' needs a high end rig to get the best performance. If you only have a mid range machine and you really want this Sim, then it might be time to consider investing in all of those upgrades you were putting off like (a large) SSD, faster more RAM, a processor with more cores, and a graphics board upgrade. Check the site for minimum recommended hardware. But with that said, when it really flies (pun intended) the experience can be stunning.

Don't buy it like typical microsoft this sim is full of bugs not fully tested ... and it is a DOWNLOAD... You don't get the dvd discs.. I got it installed and updated all my drivers joined xbox live.. it installed but when trying to play the game.. it starts to open (unreal graphics) then goes to check for updates gets about halfway through doing updates and crashes.. sends You right back to the desktop... so google microsoft FS2020 crashes to desktop ..is a big problem lots of people complaining the same is happening to them... NO FIX our there.. THIS game is NOT ready for Public sale... DON"T buy it yet... also You best have a top of the line computer and video Card.. and a 550 watt power supply (minimum) to run it. I want my money back

Calibration of flight controls is a nightmare. No manual, no tutorials, nonoperational switches, malfunctioning gauges. What good is world-class scenery when just flying the plane takes so much attention?

Really awesome game! Definitely need a joystick or other controllers to make the game experience better. It also takes lots of practice, but it is really life-like. We had no issues with the download, you just need to make sure to check your "owned" games in the Microsoft App on your computer to complete the download and install process.

What a disappointment. I have been a fan of Flight Simulator since the days of the DOS version running on Windows 3.1. I was using FS X Gold. I was looking forward to the highly touted graphics that 2020 would bring and I must say the graphics are very impressive but as a flight trainer, it is very sub-par. I'm willing to suffer through a learning period but my frustration level finally hit its' limit today. I purchased a new PC from Best Buy ($1000), purely so that I could enjoy this version of Flight Simulator. So, I've got a IBUYPOWER - Element Gaming Desktop- Intel Core i7-9700F - 16GB Memory - NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1660 - 2TB Hard Drive + 240GB SSD. One would have thought that should suffice in handling the graphics requirements for this game. Game might be a better term to be used as opposed to simulator. I'm going to find the proper forum to list all of the bugs, missing features and Long load times. I measured 5.0 minutes to just load the game and that only gets you to the main screen. If you were a big fan of FSX, I don't think you will enjoy this game. Sudden hiccups that shut down the simulator mid-flight, engines quitting for no explainable reason, menu items not visible unless you are in full-screen mode are just some of the issues I'm seeing. The fact that it doesn't come with a training manual should tell you something. Some aftermarket instructions are out there but not from the supplier. What? No operator manual?! Kind of a joke.

This game is absolutely amazing, especially in VR! Being able to fly anywhere without limits, in a variety of airframes, is so much fun. If your system supports it, the weather, traffic, and lighting effects are breathtaking. Very relaxing, too.

It played great for a while. Now its saying I don't have permission on certain files. Won't even try to start up. I've repaired it, reset it and even uninstall it and realize I don't have a way to re-download it again. Microsoft took FOREVER to get back to me about the problem. Waited for over an hour and I couldn't wait anymore, I'm very upset for wasting 95 bucks.

The jury is still out on this simulation game, it certainly is not as smooth running and intuitive to run as its predecessors. After many years of using previous versions I would, at this point rank it as: "Perhaps in time and with many bug fixes and updates ... " I will keep trying and learning to avoid some of the current bugs.

Surpassed my expectations. Looks like a high end PC when playing. Lot of continued support also.

I would not purchase from Best Buy... too many folks have had problems downloading (really a microsoft problem)... if you want a refund, best to purchase from microsoft.
