The Fosi ZA3 is a great little speaker amp! I was looking to replace an older amp unit for my bedroom, and I saw the ZA3 had really good power output, and very important for me, it had XLR inputs (along with RCA inputs), so it would slot into my system with no problems. Set-up was super easy. I plugged in the XLR inputs from my streamer, connected my speakers, and made sure to flip the switch to the XLR inputs. I’m running it in stereo currently, but it is cool to know that you can also use two ZA3 and run each in mono for more power output. In my system with a dedicated streamer and a pair of bookshelf speakers, the ZA3 works great! I’m able to get more than enough volume from the ZA3, to the point that it is definitely in “noise complaint” territory. So unless you have a pair of super power hungry speakers, this amp should be able to handle it! Very happy with my purchase, considering buying a second one so I can try running them in mono.

Fosi Audio ZA3. I have a vintage stereo system built around components from the early 1990s, including an NAD 1300 preamplifier, Proton D1200 power amplifier, NAD CD player, WiiM Ultra streamer, and KEF LS50 Meta speakers. Recently, my Proton power amp broke down and needed repair. Since finding a qualified technician for vintage audio equipment can be difficult and repairs can be expensive, I purchased the Fosi Audio ZA3 as a temporary substitute at a fraction of the repair cost. After connecting the ZA3 to my main system with WBC RCA cables, I was amazed by the sound. The ZA3 is not shy of power, but what impressed me most was its dead-silent noise floor and smooth, relaxed sound signature. It is perfect for long listening sessions. The highs are smooth and beautifully musical without causing listening fatigue. Since getting the ZA3, I have found myself enjoying music for hours every day. I liked it so much that I decided to buy a second ZA3 and run them as monoblocks, hoping to improve the already impressive soundstage even further. I am very happy that I chose the Fosi Audio ZA3. For its size and price, it has been a wonderful surprise.

I really like this Fosi digital amplifier, beautiful simplicity design, premium alloy material, small in size but containing great energy. I tested it by both my shelf speakers and large floorstanding speaker, The sound performance is good, offering excellent value for money. The high frequencies are delicate, the mid-range is accurate, and the low frequencies have ample energy. The era of analog amplifiers is coming to an end, and I'm very happy to be using this amplifier with my work computer.

The ZA3 is a thoughtfully designed little amplifier that offers a lot of flexibility for the price. Its compact footprint makes it particularly suitable for a desktop, bedroom, or other space where a traditional integrated amplifier would be too large. Its sound is clean and detailed, with clearly defined left and right channels. However, compared with the larger integrated amplifiers I have owned, the soundstage does not have quite the same sense of depth, and the bass, while present and controlled, lacks some weight and authority. At very low listening levels, the volume control can also be a little sensitive, so I think the ZA3 works best when paired with a separate preamp or DAC with volume control. Despite these limitations, I am keeping it. It performs well for its size, feels solidly built, and offers excellent value as part of a compact system. It may not completely replace a good full-size integrated amplifier for critical music listening, but Fosi has done an impressive job within the ZA3’s size and price range. I look forward to seeing how the company develops this product line.
