Bought to replace an old Friedrich, within a month stopped working and Bestbuy exchanged for a new one but feel it’s more fragile than the old original unit so jury is still out but 2 months and still working. Yes quieter than the old unit but wouldn’t call it quiet. Another note that when the original one failed the self diagnostic said it was working fine even though the compressor would not go on. Also the sleeve has vents on top and not sure how well that will protect the unit during winter, the old sleeve did not have vents on top. I would say I marginally recommend as it cools as expected but that if it breaks down next summer I would change that
