Q: Can I use that without my phone?
A: Yes, you can use the GPS without a phone.
Q: What does the NA mean on the Garmin 61 NA LMT-S?
A: NA = North America
A: It is possible to turn off phone calls through your Garmin device, so that calls can be taken through your phone instead. The traffic service can still be used in this case. Traffic through Smartphone Link is always active as long as the application is running on your phone. -MH
A: No, neither the DriveSmart™ 60 nor the DriveSmart™ 61 LMT-S include any truck specific routing. The Garmin dēzl™ series includes detailed maps for North America that also include truck-related restrictions – like bridge heights, sharp curves, weight limits and more – and related information for most major roads and highways. Thanks, James
A: Good question. Yes, the DriveSmart 61 LMT-S is compatible with both the GTM 60™ and the GTM™ 36 traffic receiver power cables. So if your other Garmin used one of these cables, you can absolutely use it. Thanks, James
A: Garmin's 2017 devices, including the DriveSmart 61LMT-S, receive traffic information through the free Smartphone Link application for Android and iPhone. Mobile data is used as long as the device is in use and receiving traffic information from the phone, however a relatively small amount of data is consumed for this function. If mobile data limitations are a concern, it is recommended to monitor your data usage from your phone, or use an unlimited data plan. A traffic receiver cable, which can act in place of your phone, is also available as an optional accessory. The part number for this cable is 010-01009-02. -MH
Q: Does the 61 LMT-s 6.95" do automatic re-routing?
A: Yes it does :) It's happens pretty quickly, there's a very small delay when it's expecting you to take a ramp and you didn't take it or example. But then it adjusts and will reroute you.
Q: Does this DriveSmart 61 pair with the BC30 back up camera??
A: Yes this gps pairs with the BC30, it does not pair with the older BC20.
