Vision is excellent. The screen has great clarity. The volume is adjustable and I like that. I really like to options and warring settings. Helps saving time and avoiding up coming traffic delays. I definitely would recommend. Looking forward to smooth traveling.

Always used Garmin devices and this one is the newest gadget of ours. GPS is spot-on and is faster than previous models. Extra room on the screen for upcoming exits and real-time lane notifications.

Bigger and better than the NUVI 40 that it replaces. Easier to use. Compatible with the old mounting bracket. Exactly what we wanted.

Use this for work in my patrol car. Love the live view of the map showing what street im on. Love the voice control and love the slim big screen look. Very happy with my purchase and have recommended them plenty of times now.

It's more problems than help. It always gives you the longest way to get somewhere. It will navigate you to a place that doesn't exist. It's not dependable at all especially out of town in the dark at night

Sorry to hear of your experience. We do not have a longest route option on any of our devices. They will always default to the most appropriate/shortest time. Having said that there are several settings to verify to make sure you are setup for your preferences. If you encounter a business that is no longer there, we have a map error report tool on our website here, https://supportforms.garmin.com/en-US/form/report-map-error/. By reporting this will bring awareness to our mapping provider for correction in a future map release. We here at Garmin would love to assist you in how to best use this device. Please start by visiting our 24/7 support center page at support.garmin.com.

While more complicated than our previous GPS. and with more features, this GPS works fine. We use it in the car instead of a phone app. I am not completely competent with the new GPS yet, but I know I like that the hotels' phones and ratings are included in their listings.

Absolutely love this system. Works really well. Screen stays bright, the voice activation is probably the best part about it because if I'm driving and need an address right away, I just talk and it gives me exactly what I need. It's a great system and if definitely recommend to people who need a navigation system.

I believe Garmin is the best choice I could make. I have an older smaller Garmin that I have had for years and decided to get a bigger viewing screen and this does not disappoint. I love all the features that this Garmin DriveSmart 76 has. It took no time to set this up and the newer features are a pleasant and thrilling surprise. I very highly recommend not just the Garmin name, but especially this particular model that I have had for about a month now. It is so easy to navigate with all the bells and whistles! I did add a screen protector especially made for this particular device that eliminates any glare that I might encounter on my travels.

This GPS is great. It has a convenient voice feature so you can tell it what address you want to go to. It also connects to Bluetooth, so you can hear it over your car speakers.

I've had this a month now, and while I haven't gone on any LONG trips, I have used it for trips of about 65 miles one way, and then home again. I also use it around town just to break it in, so to speak - to learn the features in places where I don't really need it. Twice now, it has interrupted conversations with "Which option do you want?" as if I had activated a voice command. Once, it seemed to be because I said "OK" but the next word was NOTHING like "Garmin". I don't know why it decided to do that. The second time, we were talking about the highway, and it decided we wanted to change the route! Stupid "smart" thing - it isn't supposed to come on unless you say "OK Garmin". This is a feature I'd gladly turn off or disable, but that is not allowed. It insists on listening to you all the time, apparently. Today, it turned on my phone's bluetooth all by itself. I didn't tell it to do that, and didn't know it had done it, until I looked at my phone and saw the symbol. I never use bluetooth, and didn't turn it on today, so Garmin did it for me. Nice waste of battery power and exposing me to security risk without even telling me, much less asking permission! I do like the spoken directions - it says things like "turn left at the stop light", rather than just "turn left on Hwy 33", which my old one did. It isn't much good to tell me to turn on whatever name road, when there is no street sign and I don't know where I am! So that feature is a definite improvement. I wish it was less "smart" and that I didn't have to pay for the "smartness" that I don't want to use. I feel like a big reason why it is so much more than it use to be, is that they added in this listening capability, and most of the time, I don't have any need for that. I usually have another person in the car to physically use the touch screen. If that isn't the case, I pull over and do it myself. I really have no inclination to use voice commands, and don't like it asking me what option I want, when I just want to have conversation uninterrupted. I like the size of the screen. But it is too heavy for the windshield suction cup, so it is a good thing I have an old dashboard stand which works well. The battery doesn't seem to hold a charge for very long, wihch is annoying. I used to be able to take it in the house and plug in addresses from the computer or address book, days after having used it in the car. No more! It may last a day or so, then it is dead. I have to plug it into a charger to use it in the house unless I'm just coming in from a trip using it. I like that it uses the oval shaped USB port, so I can use my phone charger in the house when needed, to add addresses or check on the time it will take me to go someplace tomorrow, without having to find another charging cord (that was always very short and useless). My biggest gripe is that this won't give me traffic or construction delays without being connected to my phone, which has to be running the app the whole time. This is absurd. The Best Buy site had Q&A which specifically told me (both a product reviewer and a Garmin representative) that this would work merely by plugging it in and using it. Apparently, things have changed since those answers, and therefore I bought this under false pretenses by relying on that outdated information. MAD I am, but what can I do at this point? Nothing. I need this and nothing else is better in this regard. So I'm stuck. My old device quit and I needed something. But I was lied to, and I won't forget that. Seriously, I don't want to have to rely on my phone's maps to get me around (did that about 15 years ago and ended up having to use a paper map because in the middle of a very remote mountainous area, there was no cell signal and we had to drive in the dark, not knowing where to go until we got closer to civilization again). So we use portable GPS because our vehicles don't have it built in, and we can use it in any vehicle, even a rental, with our saved addresses. But these annoyances may just keep me from buying Garmin products in the future, unless they are fixed. Bottom line - if you need one, this works. Some features are better than they were, but several have "value subtracted" in my view., rather than "value added".

Although only a couple of weeks using, i find it to be very easy to use and informative. I had a 12 year old Sony GPS which has worked great but no longer updated. Im hoping my new Garmin lasts as long and continues to operate flawlessly as my old Sony. I give my new Garmin 5 stars and look forward to a long service life with my new unit

Works great! I really like the voice command allowing me to hear how soon I am at to take turn or to destination. And this model having ability in machine for map updates compared to my much older model which was instructed me to go to web site to check. Also like this wider model.

Bought to replace my 15 year old Garmin Nuvi. Took on a 3800 mile fall adventure throughout the western US in which it would take us the longest route almost every time we set it. One time it took us 58 miles out of the way? After a while we could not trust it to go the right and shortest way possible. Even fully charged there is about a three minute battery life unplugged? It was way off finding national monuments and such. I thought it would be more accurate than the old Garmin, however that is not the case. Attaching the Garmin to the window holder is very cumbersome and awkward. I do really like the large screen and easy touch screen... and that is the only reason I did not return it.

It has a clear view and it works better than the old model that I had

This is an especially adept solution for traveling in a vehicle, especially with the traffic alerts through the Garmin Drive app. I also like that Google doesn't necessarily know my driving routines as I don't have to use Waze or Google Maps as an alternative. It looks for any software or mapping updates every time it shuts down if Wifi is available. Have had Garmin GPS units for years and they just keep getting better.

Worked very well in my truck definitely recommend this

the GPS was very helpful in providing direction. The one thing I was dissatisfied with is the GPS does not always instruct the best route available first. You have to be care with that. When I was using the GPS it was giving me the directions to locations that could of took less time if the route was calculated different.

Works well except giving it verbal commands. Easy to see, an issue for my wife who otherwise would have to put on glasses to read a GPS and remove them to drive.
